From what I understand, rear dew claws are only attached to the leg by a bit of flesh and easy to tear off in an accident. Ouch!
-
Rottys shouldn't have rear dew claws - it's a fault in our standard They might pop up every now and then, but they aren't the accepted norm. I can't even remember the last time we had a pup born with rear dew claws.

I'll try to find you Allerzeit.. you're first group in the same ring as Hounds. I have a fawn whippet. I know your dogs will be black and tan. :D We should be pretty hard to miss, PF :D I'm pretty sure that all of the rottys entered are either ours, or ZedNQ's or ShellyBegg's - and we will all be sitting together, so find a rotty and you'll have us!

Do you actually know what the Rottweiler standard lists as the correct heights for the breed? Yes, I most definitely have Rottweilers here who are well over 52cms - they are in the correct height range for the breed standard instead. They also have pedigrees going back longer than your arm, so I can assure you, they certainly are pure. Please don't comment about a breed when you clearly don't know the correct information for that breed :D

What?? Care to show me the "old" standard that says that?

How much would the domain registration be? The registration of a .org domain name should absolutely not cost more than $14.95 per year. There would not be time to transfer the domain name, so it would need to be renewed with the current registrar.
-
I would be more than happy to host it for free, indefinitely, if someone is able to pick up the expense of the domain name registration Just let me know.

Exactly the same too precious to allow Mum to dither. Me three - angelsun's description is spot on to what we do - mum is allowed to help me clean them if she has the desire to, but I do the clean off, cord and give a rub as soon as the pup is whelped.

Online Pet Supply Stores ?

There website safety is fine, I've used them many times since they got that rating without issue. The problem is that anyone can rate using WOT without having to provide evidence for their rating - get one bad rating on your site without enough good ones to offset it, and you will have a "red" rating. All "bad" ratings for the site (2 out of 9 ratings) are because VetnPetDirect is listed on http://www.nabp.net/ip2.asp - an American website which lists "Internet drug outlets which appear to be out of compliance with state and federal laws or NABP patient safety and pharmacy practice standards." Reasons for being listed on that site relate to not being domiciled in the USA, not being registered with the US Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), etc. I would certainly question how legitimate their being listed on that site actually is. The account thing was a pain, I agree. It appears to be because they changed their shopping cart software and were unable to port all the customer accounts across, requiring customers having to re-setup their accounts. -
Cool - we're free that day I'll do up entries this weekend Thanks for the info Ceilidh

Please Make Sure Your Dogs Are Okay In The Heat

There was an article in the Border Mail this morning about a woman who left her dog in her car in Albury yesterday while she went into the shopping center to feed her baby, and then decided to spend another 15 minutes looking around the shops.... It was 42C in Albury yesterday.... Some people just don't get it! -
Poodlefan's thread is an excellent resource! Welcome to the forum Jess, and good luck in your puppy search

We don't We have a 7 1/2 month old Rotty boy who is still on 3 meals a day, but he is starting to gradually wean himself from lunch. He will eventually go down to 2 meals a day and stay that way for life, along with the rest of our dogs.

Sounds like what you were seeing was the bulbous glands at the base of his penis Like persephone said - he was particularly enjoying his belly rub

Hi guys - was wondering if anyone could offer any suggestions. We are travelling to Tuross Head in NSW in early Feb, and need to find a single nights accommodation onroute on Thursday the 4th Feb. I have spent I don't know how many hours trolling through the accommodation listings, but am struggling to find something suitable. We are hoping to stop over in the Canberra region on the Thursday night, and we will have 5 dogs with us - plus a dog trailer, so not expecting the dogs to be inside the accommodation. I have found one potential B&B, but I would really prefer something more self contained, not closely shared with other guests who may not like dogs. Caravan parks would be fine too. My sticking point seems to be the one night - most SC places are minimum of 2 nights (or more). Anything between Canberra and Tuross Head would be fine as well - I've done lots of searching around Batemans Bay, etc, but keep coming undone at the minimum stay. Starting to tear my hair out now, so thought I had better ask around on here before I do anything drastic
