  1. We use these for Molly - she is a frisbee freak http://www.vetnpetdirect.com.au/TCGLID
  2. That's correct, she is ineligible. Minimum age is 3 months - she will be 3 months of age on the 21st August, she is not 3 months old when she's 12 weeks old.
  3. We will be there on Saturday
  4. OOoer - you'd better not tell that to all of the poddy lambs I've raised on a human baby bottle and teat We have yet to have a poddy lamb that will take to a commercial lamb teat! Sounds like he's on the improve, which is good Do watch for constipation as well, as already suggested, and make sure you have parafin oil on hand - we lost our first set of poddy twins to constipation After that event, as suggested by our vet, we always started our poddy lambs on half strength formula and gradually increased the mix to full strength over a number of days
  5. I know it's not much, but I have to have a wee brag ;) Enya finally gained her 3rd CCD pass today at Albury, with a score of 94/100 and a 2nd in the ring Enya and I have been trialling "forever" - she passed encouragement back in early 2005 and we had one attempt at Novice, which was just hilarious We stopped obedience for a while, after Enya put her foot through a window, severing the digital tendons to the two middle toes in one of her front feet and rendering her permanently lame A couple of years ago we started obedience again, after having put Enya on Joint Guard which reduced the limping down to an almost un-noticeable level - she always loved doing obedience so when her limp resolved as much as it did we decided to get back into it just for fun. I bit the bullet and started trialling her again in CCD early last year and got her first pass. Then, in August last year we did some more trials but she was just too lame and I sadly decided to retire her. Fast forward to the beginning of this year, her limp had again resolved and she was looking good, so back into it we went! She got her second pass in March this year and her final pass today It's been such a struggle against injury and a race against advancing age (Enya will be 8 in December - getting into senior years for a rottweiler) to get her CCD title that I am far too proud and thrilled It's nowhere near the skill that I watch and admire in the advanced obedience levels, but it's been such a fight to get here! So now, after having told myself that at soon as we got her CCD we would stop, I find myself contemplating moving into Novice - Enya is loving trialling, her limp is non existent for now, and she is working the best that she ever has.... sucker for punishment, anyone? :D
  6. Good on you for reporting it, ellz! Wow, foxes And here we were thinking that we'd be seeing the last of the buggers when we move!
  7. Just a quick reminder for the WKODC trial If anyone is wanting to enter and is going to be at the Albury trial this weekend, then you can hand your entries directly to me if you like I will be in the CCD ring with a rottweiler bitch (Allerzeit Enya).
  8. Radar and Feonix insist on sleeping outside, much to my dismay - I would rather they sleep inside. Enya, Molly and Neo wouldn't sleep outside in a pink fit :p
  9. As a Rottweiler person, it's so nice to read that story! I want to find that owner and shake her hand!!
  10. We will be there for the Friday and Saturday Last show for us before we move!
  11. Happy Birthday, Ivy!! I love that last photo of the two of you
  12. Here is a good photo of lamb flaps, Shek You can see how it's the tail end of the ribs, and the fatty flesh around t? http://www.vital.org.nz/barbeque/lambflapbench2.jpeg
  13. Sounds like you're talking about my father's early breeding days. I don't believe he is saying that there is a link between the bobtail gene and entropian, but rather that those particular lines that had the bobtail gene that he experienced also produced unacceptable levels of entropian (among other things) to justify continuing with them. I understand that there is a NBT gene in rottweilers. I don't proclaim to know anything about any health issues involved with the gene. For me, I have yet to see a rottweiler which is a supposed NBT (and not a sly docking claiming to be an NBT) that is of good enough overall conformation for me to justify introducing it into my breeding program. In fact, find that in general most of the NBT rottweilers that I have been made aware of are IMO of poor overall conformation. Besides - as much as it might make us pariahs - we really like our tails now, so we have no interest in incorporating any sort of NBT gene into our lines.
  14. 3676 is fine - that's the official "post office boxes" post code for Wangaratta, whereas 3677 is the general Wangaratta postcode - so 3677 and 3676 are both good
  15. Hi everyone :p I'm acting as trial secretary for the Wang obedience and agility trials next month and I have just found that the schedule has been published with an error in the address. If you have entered this trial could you please email me to let me know, so that I can make a record of your entry and keep an eye out for it. Could you please also pass this onto anyone you know who might have entered. If you have not yet sent your entry, please make sure that you send your entry to the address below and NOT to the address on the schedule published in the DogsVic magazine - again, please pass this onto anyone else you know who might be planning to enter: Trial Secretary Tracie McIntosh PO Box 171 Wangaratta Vic 3677 The error in the address is in the postcode, which has been published as 3673 instead of 3677 and my concern is that this may cause some entries to be delivered to the Benalla post office instead of the Wangaratta post office, so it is very important that if you have already sent your entry that you email me and let me know. My email address is allerzeit at bigpond dot com. Thanks :D Trace
  16. We use Pedigree Advance Puppy Growth Large Breed on our dogs, Neo was on it until only recently, then we switch them over to more of a raw diet. The best food for your dog is the food your dog does best on
  17. I soooo wanted to steal this little girl - she is a glorious baby rottweiler, and I was so pleased to be able to show her to a baby in group for her owner :D I thought maybe her owner could take the ribbon and I could keep the puppy, but nooooo :D I got to meet Bilbo Baggins and Bilbo Baggins Junior this weekend, so that was great ;) Totally exhausted from cooking some obscene amount of breakfasts - you hungry people, you! Feonix took out two 11 point challenges, to my absolute delight, and now I think I will go away and sleep for a week Hope people enjoyed themselves - we managed to keep the rain away over the weekend, but it's a pity that we also managed to get an inch of rain on Friday afternoon so we still had the annual Wangaratta mud pit, but at least we had sunny days instead of rain
  18. Oooo - and it was nice to finally meet you, BBJ!
  19. Oh, and rug up tomorrow morning guys! We are expecting sub zero temperatures overnight tonight, and a severe frost first thing in the am, but it will be a beautiful and sunny day once the frost melts
  20. Feonix won bitch CC But, that's probably not the sort of results you were talking about BIG 6 was the Akita RUBIG 6 was the Rottweiler BPIG 6 was the mini schnauzer JIG 6 was the mini schnauzer That's all I can remember
  21. I just checked with Lesley for you troop, and she tells me that there are 12 Italian Greyhounds entered ;)
  22. Our last litter of Rottweiler pups - almost 4 years ago now - were sold for $950 (both main and limited) and we were at the bottom of the price range then. Most breeders that I know of are charging around $1000 - $1500 for Rottweiler pups, some considerably more.
  23. Me too - many tears watching the video, with my heart totally breaking for you Jed You didn't - you did an amazing job - you almost had a serenity about you ! Yes, absolutely! Night Jed, sleep well, lovely lady
