  1. Awww, puddin! Not long now Missymoo
  2. Oh gawd, yes! I remember last year being in gumboots and WHITE pants (yay for showing black dogs). Surprisingly I managed to keep from getting totally covered in mud It's the first time in 15 years that we won't be at the Wang show, I feel all nostalgic now I won't miss being up at sparrow fart to help cook breakfast though
  3. Yep, that's exactly why I want ledges this time instead of round poles. Why do you prefer no bottom on the box? Still tossing up on this one, but only because we've always had bottoms in our boxes so I'm trying to get my head around why it's better to not have one
  4. Well that would be why it looks similar Did you find it easy to build?
  5. Loving the photos guys - thanks so much! Hmmm, really liking the idea of a hinged entry door too...
  6. Love it! You have ledges for pig rails, which is something I want to do this time instead of having overlapping poles for pups to get stuck in when they start crawling around. I found this one looking online, which looks a bit similar to yours - and it's the plan of choice at the moment : http://www.mcemn.com/WB-WhelpingBox.html
  7. Well, fingers crossed we are having our first litter in 5 years at the end of next month We didn't bring our old whelping box with us when we moved from Victoria, so we need to make a brand spanking new one - which is great because we get to make modifications to improve on what we used to have I'm on the lookout for ideas, and thought I would ask the DOL breeders brain trust what they have So, please tell me - what do you love about your whelping box, what would you change? Photos would be great too, if you want to show your whelping box off (and if those photos happen to include cute puppies, well I'm sure we could all live with that )
  8. I've emailed you too - we need all the jackets we can get down here to keep warm :p
  9. We bought a Scoff Stopper for Feonix, worked a treat for the first two meals..... On the third meal, she figured it what was making it hard for her to scoff her food and she BIT off the pillar thingies I might give the Slow Feed Bowl a go - although being plastic it still might not make it through more than a couple of meal times with Feonix I need a metal version of the Scoff Stopper! Kong Wobbler looks like it might be fun
  10. Good on them! I've used them a few times now, and have always been happy with them, but it's nice to see the little special touches that show they care.
  11. Congrats TB Looking forward to lots of Sheltie baby photos
  12. I understand. I still can't take Enya out of my signature, I just can't bring myself to do it.
  13. I'm so sorry to hear of your loss, noisymina RIP Kaisie, play hard at the bridge lovely girl
  14. Excellent! Sending you lots of puppy dust Where did you go for the mating?? Melbourne
  15. It will be on the website - http://www.wkodc.com Hey Liz - Ron and I will fly up to Wang to cook breakfasts if you like!
  16. Fingers crossed for you BB! We need more litters due at the end of the month :D Flew back home with Feonix last night - 3 good matings, on the 25th, 26th and 27th, which were days 16/17/18. I thought she might be a late girl, like her mother was! Poor Radar wants to spend time with his sister, and doesn't understand why he's not allowed to Feonix just wants to tear his head off if he looks in her direction  I think she's heading out of season quickly though, she's stopped flagging and Neo couldn't care less about her, so hopefully that's a good sign!
  17. Hey Missymoo - you missed us on the first post I told Feonix, and now she's in her crate crying because you don't love her :p
  18. All fingers and toes crossed - we are hopefully expecting rotty puppies on the 27th of July! Sending lots of puppydust to everyone! It's been almost 5 years since our last litter, I feel like a "virgin" again :p
  19. Have you prog tested the bitch to make sure that she's ready?
  20. I agree with persephone - not normal unless the dog is sleeping, very relaxed or has a mouth issue. The only time we've seen it as a persistent issue is with Molly, who has her tongue poking out most of the time due to being severely overshot.
  21. In the case of the rapture, I think those left behind get 7 years of pestilence, disaster and death before the second coming. Dunno about the Mayan end of the world, they didn't teach us about that in Religious Ed! I think it's been fast tracked! Apparently we are going to get 5 months of massive natural disasters before the world officially ends on the 18th of October. Oh, and Zombies - don't forget the Zombies!
