  1. Oh k9angel, I'm so very, very sorry That is just so much pain and loss for one heart to bear in such a short time
  2. Oh Gawd! I just noticed that we are next on the list We have a syringe of oxytocin here as well - we're an hour away from the closest vet, and 1 1/2 hours away from a decent vet so it was important to me to try and get some oxytocin to have on hand. Fortunately I managed to talk one of the vets that we've used since moving here (we are still vet shopping to a degree, having only lived here 12 months) to let us have a syringe of oxy, also on the proviso that it's only administered with a phone consult to them, which is fine with me Whelping box installed into the study this morning, whelping kit all organised, dog towels all washed and ready - I think we're ready to go when Fee is...
  3. Seems I'm far from the only person who suffered bad experiences with them too... Fishpond reviews
  4. Be careful with Fishpond, we found that they could be absolutely shocking when it comes to delivery times. We used to buy a lot of stuff from them - some would arrive in a reasonable time frame, but a lot of it wouldn't and we had to chase things up with them repeatedly.
  5. Holy c**p!! Another BIG litter! Glad to hear that the two late arrivals were girls! Sorry to hear you had a little angel girl RIP little one
  6. I can just imagine! I'm sure non dog breeding people must think we're totally bonkers!
  7. The worst one I've had is my BIL insisting on calling our dogs "Rockys" That's his shortened version of their full name... "Rockwheelers" It doesn't matter how many times we correct him, they are still Rockys - makes me want to stab myself in the eye with a fork (or maybe stab HIM in the eye with it)
  8. It is! Another scary thing - we had Feonix in for hip and elbow x-rays earlier this year, and the microchip needs to be embedded on the x-rays for identification. Well, no matter how much he scanned, the vet couldn't find Feonix's chip. Now, I bred Feonix, and I was there when she was chipped as a puppy and every puppy we chipped was tested after chipping, so I know without a doubt that she had a working chip. But between then and now her chip has died or gone missing. We ended up having to re-chip her so that we could finish doing her x-rays (and so she had a working chip!) I was stunned when we couldn't find her chip anywhere....
  9. Good idea huga Microchipping is now mandatory in Tasmania - as of 1st July 2011 - for all dogs over 6 months of age (with the exceptions of working dogs, racing greyhounds and approved hunting dogs). Edited for clarity
  10. The forward slash at the end of the address isn't an issue There is an error at the beginning of the address though - the correct link is http://www.petaddress.com.au/
  11. Ewww - catastrophoc diarrhea before coffee - charming I love that she then proceeded to eat the cat food and raid the garbage bin, though - cheeky girl I hope all of our upset tummies clear up soon - that includes you Cynda, no gurgling please! Hope everything is going ok underfoot Well, we are day 58 from the first mating today, so I'm feeling somewhat freaked out Not that Feonix is anywhere near doing anything yet, it's just getting to the big day all too quickly. I've forgotten how to cope with a whelping That'll teach me for leaving it for 5 years!
  12. Sending smooth whelping vibes your way, underfoot! Hoping for a few bitches now, it must be time for them after 4 boys!
  13. The OP has used the incorrect term for it - it's commonly called a killed parvo vaccination (not kill parvo) - ie Parvac. It's an inactivated vaccine.
  14. He's a Multigen Australian Labradoodle. I realise many on this site are against these designer dogs, but we are just in love with them You might like to have a read of the rules of the site
  15. Wow! The babies are growing so fast! It seems really strange to see and hear of them all growing, eyes opening, walking (pooing :p ) while we're still waiting for ours to arrive
  16. Very cute!! The look on Peppi's face in the first one is classic!
  17. Everyone's getting busy with their puppies now! It's just us stragglers that aren't being sleep deprived and running short of time at the moment How did it go with the doppler at the vet yesterday?
  18. Hugs to you zzz Top Sounds like it was a rough whelping RIP to the little ones who didn't make it, but all fingers and paws crossed that everyone else thrives for you!
  19. We had to mount our TV on the wall to stop Molly attacking it  She is quite obsessed about the TV, but also the computers and my iPhone - she has a favourite sheep herding video on YouTube which she goes nuts about, and if watching it on my iPhone, she will actually try and bite the phone to get to the sheep! Now Neo has decided that he can see TV as well - and he goes into full guarding mode at anything he doesn't like. Makes for an interesting "quiet" night of watching TV
  20. AAwwwwww - Alyosha, they are gorgeous Love the smile on that little boy - could he look more contented if he tried? Fingers crossed the rest of your whelping goes smoothly zzz Top!
  21. Allerzeit = "All Time" in German Deliberately chosen to have a connection to my parents prefix of Allerhochst, (roughly translating to "All Highest" in German) The highly non-technical result of scouring a German to English dictionary, many years ago, to try and come up with a prefix beginning with Aller
  22. Shhhhhh! We're only having 6! That's what I've ordered from Feonix - 3 of each. That's how it works, isn't it?? The babies are all moving around now, we have the whole aliens in the belly thing happening Cynda is looking great! I'm so glad I don't have the problem of the bitch going off her food though, that would be so frustrating! We have yet to have a girl who wasn't a pig throughout her whole pregnancy. How did Willow go with the chicken, underfoot? Looking forward to Borzoi baby photos
  23. Yes, she's exploding! Getting bigger by the day I think
  24. Good stuff! So sorry to hear that you lost little white girl RIP little angel Nice weight gain for green girl! Feonix at 7 weeks
