  1. Yes, it's sad I always have an inward cringe when people find out we have dogs, and then ask what sort.... the response is either resoundingly positive, or terribly negative! I grew up with them from around the age of 4 - my earliest memories include the rottweilers that we had back then.... riding in a cart pulled by Bacchus.... sneaking into the whelping room to peek at a whelping that was taking place.... good memories :)
  2. Girls are naughty! Boys are sweet :) Not always the case, of course, but seems to be a common theme :) Nova has the nickname "feral cow-head" for a reason!
  3. Send me your address and I'll send you a sample puppy in a few weeks! If Nova keeps getting bigger at her current rate, we're going to be drowning in them in 4 weeks time! Nova - seriously love, single figures, not double figures, please! Heed me, or I'll use my rotty voice on you!
  4. The key is to develop your "rotty voice" :D It scares everything, not just naughty dogs!
  5. Getting down to the pointy end for you, indigirl! Looking forward to seeing baby photos! :D Nova is starting to obviously show now, she's day 35 today :) 2.5kg weight gain in the previous week *eek*
  6. Isn't it! Which just goes to show.... photos LIE!
  7. Yay a convert! Come on over to the dark side (dark as in black and tan)! Your life will never be the same! I'd better post some photos in grumpette's absence! Neo - proof that sometimes he doesn't have a ball in his mouth! Feonix - Nova's dam - at 8 years Baby Nova Christmas with Bruce and Nova Blooper! A common look on Nova's face when she and Bruce play (mind you, Bruce DOES have a hold of her tail...) My darling Enya in one of her favourite positions - will always miss this girl - Nova's grandma I do believe my work here is done..... again.... for now...... :D
  8. Ahhh grumpette - you know I love my newphew Zephy :D He is very special, in all the right ways! :p Awww Emma <3 Hope you're having a good time over the bridge, sweetheart - you make sure that you teach the others how to balance things! I expect Enya to be an expert at it by the time we're reunited :D
  9. They're a terribly tough breed though.... see how badly Bruce treats "his" cat??
  10. That's the sweet version of the puppy that's trying to chew her way out of her crate - both the same pup, just different extremes
  11. Naaw, I always like seeing photos of your girl, Dory - she's a pretty one :) Love the scruffer too! :D
  12. Yeah, well it's muscles with a fat gut now.... That photo was only taken a month ago..... now she has puppy gut and boobies!
  13. Dory the Doted One - I think you'd better add rotty photos here too - I think Brandiandwe needs lots more photos :p
  14. Congrats eschlachter! :D You'd better start preparing to take belly shots for the September litter thread! Can't have all this talk about puppies without seeing photos :p
  15. And I can't forget my ball dog - I think this is a permanent attachment in his gob!
  16. Psst - we have a litter due in 4 weeks - just you wait for photos then :p
  17. Stop posting photos? Really? Sure? See, isn't that better? :D
  18. Nova - the way she has "smooshy cuddles" on the couch with me each night Neo - the fact that he has to show you his tennis ball multiple times a day and gets all excited when you tell him how pretty it is Radar - his happiness and clown like nature Feonix - her gentleness Molly - the way she drops her ball as close to my face as she can when I'm lying in bed, and expects me to throw it Lovely topic :)
  19. It's a bit early to see shape changes really yet anyway - and particularly for a maiden girlie - but she sounds positive so far :) I can see subtle changes in Nova's shape, but they are subtle and I can probably only notice them because I know what to expect :) You should find in about a week Lei's shape will change quite quickly - they reach a point at around 5 weeks where the pups become large enough to cause the uterine horns to fold over, and this is when they suddenly start to look obviously pregnant. Once that happens she will almost look bigger by the day! Then come 7 weeks.... the aliens start to move! That's the best part of all the waiting (apart from when they actually arrive, of course :) )
  20. Being off her food is definitely a positive sign! :D None of mine have ever done it... they're all too piggy.... but I read that it's a good sign! Mind you, I think Nova did have one little episode of morning sickness, she had one breakfast where she actually chewed her food...
