I've taken my day 2 photo but I'm not going to be able to upload days 2-5 until we get home from Melbourne.

Someone who lives nearby to me (Tea Tree Gully council) had a similar thing happen. They got a letter from the council just saying it was a warning and any other reports would be investigated. Hopefully Campbelltown (the next council over) will be the same.

From what I've heard, the course is quite boring at the GSD club But it wouldn't be very hilly at all. Sounds much nicer in Melbourne Thanks for that. OH and I are going to start cycling the o-bahn bike tracks when it's a little cooler to get us fit enough (not that OH really needs to, perhaps I should cycle by myself for a bit so I'm not too embarrassed ) and we'll start getting Akira fitter when she's about 18 months. I think she'll love it, she'd run all day if we let her. And at least we've got a year and a half to train for it cos I think we'll need it! ;)

My aim is to learn to use my P&S properly (I've learnt yesterday that you can actually buy lenses for it and it DOES have a manual setting, suppose I should have read the instructions earlier!) 1/1/2011: Day 1 These are the artificial flowers in my bedroom. She was quite funny. OH said there was no way she'd watch the video but the instant I put it on she was tilting her head back and forward and OH said "oh she actually is watching it, isn't she?" Lappiemum was making high pitched "puppies!" noises so I think she was more interested by the sounds than the picture of puppies moving. Gorgeous photos Clicking Mad and Huga. I love the Radio Flyer, CM, that's one of OH's favourite movies as a kid.

No you can miss the first few Malamum. I didn't get Akira until week 17 last year, so that was when I started, so I missed a few weeks too.

Akira lazes under the aircon during the day and gets a walk at night when it's cooled down a bit (or if I'm at work, in the morning before it gets hot). She would go stir crazy if she didn't get some exercise though.

Does anyone know where they do the ET in South Australia? Akira won't be eligible to do it until 2012, but OH would like to do it with her and he wanted to know whether it was hilly or flat and what surfaces, etc. I know it's on at least three different surfaces and we can train on those, but I think he's worried about keeping the pace for two hours himself if it's hilly.

Yes I'm definitely going to get some pics. My camera is on the top of my packing list. And yeah, if OH knew how much has been spent on Akira, he'd have never let me get Halo! Still need to get a collar and lead for Halo.

We still do too. OH keeps saying that Akira doesn't need any more toys, but now I keep saying "But these ones are for Halo!"

Huskies do clean themselves like cats (or at least mine does) but I think most Spitz breeds do to some extent. But yeah, definitely not a first time dog owner breed (unless they know what they're getting themselves into, of course).

I think two threads. IMO the point of 52 weeks is to watch how your dog changes over the year - much like the self portraits photo challenge, only with dogs, which is why it has to be the same dog. Doing a photo a week of any dog is a different challenge - pretty much the Photo a Week Challenge on Flickr (http://www.flickr.com/groups/photoaweek/). So perhaps this thread (52 Weeks) for everyone doing one dog (or two dogs and two separate challenges like Evolving did) and then another thread (Photo A Week) for those wanting to switch between dogs. For me, all photos this year will feature Halo, however Akira will make guest appearances in some of the photos.

Of course you can, LoveLea. I started at week 17 last year (the week we got Akira) and this year I'll be grabbing a couple of photos from our breeder for the second and third weeks.

Yep same dog all year. Other dogs can make cameos, but it's the same dog in every photo. No I haven't yet Helen. I'll probably talk about it when we see her next week. I'll post stacks in the Spitz thread and on Facebook anyway so she definitely won't miss her growing up. :p And thanks, we love the name too.

I'm doing Halo this year, which should be interesting. I've gotten used to the fact that I can now tell Akira to stay and she actually will. I'm starting from the beginning again with Halo. :p Which week is week 1? Does the 1st and 2nd make week 1, or are they included as part of week 52 and week 1 is actually the 3rd to 9th?
