  1. Using a dog transport company is your insurance against this. I'm sure if there was a pup at any airport in Oz, a post here would get DOLers scrambling into cars to take care of it for the night. We are using a dog transport company, but then, so did Mercedes. And yep, I know I could count on people on here to help out.
  2. Oh no, what a nightmare! Crap! Make sure you ask for the frequent flyer points she's accumulated. At least flying with Dogtainers you have someone in Hobart looking after her. Imagine if you didn't!! Gah, this makes me worried about Halo flying in next week (assuming it's not too hot). I know it doesn't happen often, but still.
  3. Gorgeous photo, Huga! Day 18: Day 19:
  4. I really like the colours, Kirislin. Some lovely photos! Day 18: Day 19: Gosh I'm sick of my iPhone! I wish I had my battery charger!
  5. Haha, I unfortunately probably won't get back to Melbourne until Halo's fully grown. We were going to come over for Easter, but now OH and I are changing our minds and we might do shows in SA instead over the break. I would love to go to Kepala one day though. Akira would have an absolute ball.
  6. Yeah lappies are Spitz, so they're definitely independent. Not as bad as a Sibe in that respect, but they are definitely more independent than a BC, for example.
  7. Love that shot, Helen! Day 17 I've played the flute for most of my life. Don't get as much time to play nowadays, but it's still one of the most relaxing things ever (when Akira's not barking at me to get me to shut up, anyway!)
  8. Beautiful photo, DSO. And I love the one of Tor, Bjelkier. I like yours too, Kirislin. Day 17 I've played the flute for most of my life. Don't get as much time to play nowadays, but it's still one of the most relaxing things ever (when Akira's not barking at me to get me to shut up, anyway!)
  9. I agree, don't allow access to that room. Once a dog pees in one spot, they'll often keep going back to it. Make sure the area is cleaned thoroughly and see if you can get an odour neutralising spray from the pet store, because if he can't smell that he's gone there before, he hopefully won't go back there.
  10. I haven't bought anything for her yet. I said to Scott that I at least have to go and buy her a collar before she gets here, because there's no way she's wearing Akira's old one because Akira was a bigger puppy and it looked HUGE on her. And I need want a better show lead than the one I have now.
  11. So exciting Koemi! Halo will be coming home in about two weeks. Very excited.
  12. That bug looks awesome, Frodo's Mum. Day 16: Akira and I sitting on the balcony together, watching the world go by. It's her favourite place in the house. Taken on my iPhone because my camera battery has run out and I'm still waiting for my battery charger to arrive.
  13. Hehe, bit of a snap, Huga. Day 16: Akira and I sitting on the balcony together, watching the world go by. It's her favourite place in the house. Taken on my iPhone because my camera battery has run out and I'm still waiting for my battery charger to arrive.
  14. Lappiemum reckons she's got a LOT of a norty streak. However as Tobster said today, it's possible that I'll just find her exactly the same to live with as Akira, because I'm already used to a highly energetic, norty dog! Gorgeous pic of Kuma!
  15. Coming home in about two weeks. She'll be nine weeks when we get her and she's seven weeks now.
  16. Ava looks like she loves you so much in that photo, Wuffles. Helen, I love that photo of Chazer. Luuka looks like she's doing "speak no evil", Fran. Cowboy is gorgeous, Annie. And everyone else, I love your shots, there's so many good ones to comment on! The wonderful Evolving took my week 2 shot. Halo all wet after a dip in the pool - looks like she might be a water baby like her big sis, Akira.
  17. Those berries look amazing Bjelkier! Day 15
