We recently went to Melbourne and didn't take Akira with us. Our reasons were we were staying with family (and OH's aunty is scared of dogs), we were going to visit our puppy so Akira couldn't come along to that and we didn't want to subject her to an 8 hour drive with only one stop, because we didn't have long there and wanted to get there quickly. If we do bring Akira along, we make sure that we stop every two hours and everything we do while on holiday revolves around things we can do with her.

My Husky was the biggest pup in the litter. Even Husky people said she was a big pup. She's now on the low end of the breed standard and some people can't get over how small she is.

Akira is most definitely a licker. She licks EVERYTHING. Every morning she gives over zealous face kisses (which turn into kiss whatever flesh you can get your tongue onto) and if she's allowed in the bathroom she licks the water off your legs when you get out the shower, or the water off the shower wall. She also loves to lick the dishwasher and the floor throughout the house.

Awww, I love little baby Vizslas! If I didn't have Spitz breeds, I'd definitely get another Vizsla. They're the most beautiful dogs.

Thanks KA. We think she's gorgeous too - OH keeps saying "I think we've got the best looking baby in the litter". It wasn't long ago that he thought pink girl (now Ruby) was his favourite, though! ;)

We have one medium (soon to be two medium) dogs in a small-medium yard. The dogs can run around, however they can't get up heaps of speed. Akira gets walked twice a day for 20-30 minutes each time, though she is very active. We also do training with her at agility and obedience, and then another three days a week at home.

I'll probably walk over to your ring at some point, though we'll probably be easier to spot than you will because we'll be the only baby puppy Lappie.

I've decided when Halo's is going to be as well. Just got to wait for her to arrive with her papers so that I can enter her. :D

Since joining DOL I have: - been introduced to the world of showing - been introduced to some new breeds (such as the Finnish Lapphund) - am about to add a new dog to my pack (our gorgeous show girl, Halo) - bought WAY TOO MUCH stuff thanks to other DOLers - changed the food for my dogs (used to feed Supercoat, now feed Pro Plan) - been helped with so many of the issues that I've had with Akira (including her fear of men which is almost at a managable level) - started obedience, agility and will start training Akira for her ET towards the middle of the year - learnt about ethical registered breeders, and why some registered breeders aren't actually ethical - made some WONDERFUL new friends - I think this and Halo is the best part about joining DOL.
