x2.. Im with one of the big banks and i havent heard this... They only sent me new book last week We organised a new cheque book two weeks back (and received it last week) and we weren't told that either.

My one year old loves plastic drink bottles too. We often put kibble inside them and she spends hours trying to get all the kibble out - as soon as she squashes the bottle, it makes it very hard for the kibble to come out! We haven't given them to the puppy yet - might try her with a 600mL because she's a lot smaller than Akira was as a puppy.

My pup's favourite toys are a stuffed bunny and scrunched up paper. She will play with scrunched up paper for ages. We also get toilet rolls/paper towel rolls and scrunch the ends over, put a bit of kibble in it and give it to her. She loves destroying the cardboard to get the tiny pieces of kibble.

I reckon I need to get one for Akira and Halo. They love to chase the baby locusts, so I'm sure they'd both love chasing bubbles.

We got Akira in May, so it was getting cooler. She was put outside when we were at work. She's always preferred being outside to inside though. Halo now has a puppy pen inside the house on the lino, with a piece of artificial grass and a towel underneath for toileting. Today was her first day by herself (five hours) and I just received a phone call from the OH saying that she'd broken out of the puppy pen while he was out. When she's big enough to hold her own with Akira, she'll go outside during the day as well.

Yep, I do! I was saying in the Spitz thread that if she doesn't have Akira's tail to pull, she'll pull her own. It's absolutely hilarious!

You're right, they do mouth a little hard. I think having Halo has been so good for Akira because she's had to become a lot more gentle at mouthing. Yeah they definitely have. Akira is breedist - she plays with everyone except other Huskies! That was the reason we decided to get a lappie rather than another Husky.

Akira is the same. She wears purple too and I always get told that "he is such a good looking dog". Halo will get the same thing, I'm sure. She will wear green when she's a bit bigger.

Akira just lets her (she's giving Halo a massive puppy license). If she gets too rough, she'll pull away, or tell her off with a yelp. She "bites" Halo (really just mouths her or grabs her fur) in return during play, and Halo has only sqwauked once or twice and Akira backed away (and I'm pretty sure each time it's because Akira has stepped on her). Most of the time it's zoomies with Halo trying to catch her. She is only 11 months old, so she's not really much more than a puppy herself.

Aww, he's gorgeous SmoothieGirl!!! I love his little blaze. Halo's being ferocious now that she's settled in. She loves to bark and growl, and the first thing she does when playing with Akira is grab her ruff, tail or pants. Luckily at the moment she's just pulling out dead undercoat (Akira is still dropping her coat) but hopefully she won't destroy her coat later on.

Halo flew to us on Wednesday. She was 9 weeks old on Thursday. They have to be a minimum of 8 weeks to fly interstate, and I think (can't remember for sure) they have to be 12 weeks to fly to NZ.

Mine arrived the day after Halo, so I haven't had much chance to read it yet. The history is really interesting though, and they talked about a few dogs in her pedigree when talking about the first Aussie imports.

Week 4 - my sleepy little girl after playing with her big sister in the water.

Thanks guys! She's a little cutie and an absolute firecracker. Perfect fit for our family, I think. Yeah, Akira really does love her. If they're both inside, you can bet that Akira is somewhere near the puppy pen. Like right now, Halo is asleep in the pen and Akira is asleep just near it. We're letting Halo out for short supervised play sessions with Akira and they both love that time. We definitely are. :D She's learning so quickly as well - she did a pretty good stack today and held it for a little while, and she walks nicely on lead (I'm not going to let her pull at all, unlike her naughty sister). Can't wait to get her out into the ring in March. Oh there'll definitely be lots of photos as she grows. And yep, she was the biggest in the litter when she was born.
