  1. Thanks so much for your advice guys. I will pass it on to my friend!
  2. Unfortunately I have no idea how severe it is. Could mild luxation be detected at only 6 weeks? The puppy is a CKCS
  3. A friend of mine is purchasing a small breed dog and the breeder has contacted her to tell her that she has been diagnosed as having luxating patellas at 6 weeks. She has offered to reduce the price of the bitch puppy but hasn't really given my friend much more info. How serious is this condition? They are not planning to breed or show the pup - she is to be a pet only. What are the likely long-term affects?
  4. Actually Steve - I do need to amend my order. Please can you toss in a heaped spoonful of *Calm, Assertive Energy* please?
  5. I KNEW I should have locked my credit card away but ooooohhh those specials are irresistible!!! What a great and informative site - I am so impressed!!
  6. I have already ordered champagne and party streamers to open on the stroke of midnight as I sit glued to the screen!! My poor old body only stays up till midnight on New Year's Eve now so have had to trick it into believing this is another NY Eve celebration!!!
  7. Thanks Ozjen . I think my face went from sad to and then to and once the door closed behind her anxious little bottom to
  8. Thanks all of you - not feeling quite so alone now! LOL I think the other thing that annoys me is because I take my dogs for a one hour walk in the morning and again at night we are sort of high-profile in our area and everyone calls me *the dog lady* which leads to every single bark or pooh on the road being attributed to my dogs! Whereas the people who keep their dogs out of mind, out of sight locked in their yards all day never cop any flak even though their dogs are so unmannered and ill-behaved!!! Nekhbet - an old Italian woman probably has a bunch of not-so-old relatives who would probably not appreciate ANY line-crossing so save it all up till you get home, lock the door asnd shout and scream until you are hoarse - gets all the rage out - with very little fear of retribution
  9. Last night our rather *unusual* neighbour came over to complain that one of our dogs had barked for two hours the night before!! Although I was surprised that I hadn't hear him as I had been home all that night, naturally I felt terrible and apologised profusely. I did feel awful as I know how infuriating it can be listening to a dog bark for so long and so I promised it wouldn't happen again...... THEN she went on to explain that *The worst part was he didnt bark nonstop because then we could have just got used to it but instead he would bark once or twice and then be quiet for a while and then do it again so our nerves were totally frayed just waiting for the next bark. One time he barked and then didn't bark again for almost 50 minutes and that went on for the whole two hours...long pauses and then a loud bark!* ummmm ok...... so my dog barked once or twice about 5 times over two hours!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!??????????????????????? I apologised again and I DO feel badly but that is NOT what I would describe as barking for two hours!
  10. You are all SOOOO close but I know the TRUTH.... He is changing EVERYTHING as he has now become an avid convert to PP Training and his new site will be called KINDLYUNCLESteve'spurelypositiveclickertrainingandtargetingdogwhispering FOR iddlewiddleoodledogsandtheidiotswhocossetthem
  11. i am married - the only drive I have left is curiosity!!!!!! !!
  12. I know what it is!!! Steve is going to have Don Burke join him as an expert on designer dogs and they are going to start their own breeding program for pre-trained Doodle Dogs!!!! No???? Maybe not???!!!!
  13. OK People - we definitely have enough interest in both a full day workshop and private lessons so I will try and find a date that suits Steve and a really great venue and keep you all posted!!
  14. A lovely man in the paper is advertising one of your special dogs - he says *It is savage with people it doesn't know but will be great for breeding!*.................................so obviously there will be some more of those hyperallergenic, non-shedding, teacup sized, protection-trained Cockadoodleoodle puppies around our area soon - so thrilling to hear that the hybrid vigour is being so well-maintained by there kind of superbly caring and committed breeders ........................just can't wait!!!!!!!
  15. Sure - whatever you want! If most people would prefer a full day of Training in Drive that is fine and we can make some arrangements for private classes.
  16. OMG Boronia - thank you for the warning - I had never imagined people would stoop so low as to sell pseudodoodleoodles!! :D I think perhaps I will stick with Deshonko after all - they have so many puppies all the time they must be good!!!
  17. Just to let everyone know - I have the EXACT same dogs coming from a lovely Priest in the Cameroons!! He is sending me two FREE teacup sized protection trained Doodloodles and he guarantees that they will never shed their long wavy fur. All I have to do is pay shipping and they are mine. So Although Shonky kennels is a wonderful place - do check out Nigeria and the Cameroons first for a real deal!!
  18. Great - thanks to everyone who has replied - looks like it will be a training in Drive workshop in the morning then private lessons in the afternoon?? Does that suit everyone?
  19. So far then it sounds as though people want a mixture of private lessons and a workshop/demo on training in drive - is that right? Are there any other suggestions? Some people have expressed an interest in *Handling Techniques*
  20. PS The local petshop had some of those white fluffies in your fist photo and the experts working at the shop told me they are just like a golden retriever .............................but better!
  21. Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwww cute - I was gonna buy groceries but as I have the money on me - I will take two please - a boy and a girl from the same litter so they have company to play with all day while I am doing other stuff. A teacup non-shedding version would be great too and I am haap to pay ten times as much if it has the word *oodle* in its name. I dont have any money left for vaccinations or desexing but cos they are from the same litter they won't ever think of each other in *THAT* way, right????
  22. Sorry Jules - not sure if I understand you. Are you saying you would prefer to have Steve here for a day and during that time give one on one lessons to people or are you saying you would prefer to go see him privately?
