  1. The interlopers don't know the risks, whereas you do. I guess that amounts to one night in which you don't need to feed the dogs, correct?
  2. Is that supposed to be funny?
  3. Do any of you try and prevent your dogs from attacking and killing the possums?
  4. Dear oh dear, possums are living beings too
  5. Love your shih tzu, that is one cute pup.
  6. Deleted as it shows up on google searches.
  7. Op poops, I didn't notice that. I thought I had clicked on Victoria. Well, I am on my way to changing that.
  8. I thought maybe border collie too. Very Cute I suppose anything is possible in the xbreed world but if her sire was border collie wouldn't she have slightly longer legs?
  9. How cute is Kodiak! Seriously adorable! They do look similar only that Satin has a shorter muzzle and is fluffier all over, beard and all. Gotta love that girl of yours.
  10. I have my eyes peeled for a blue eyed dog around the area Surely there can't be too many
  11. Just beautiful. Love that silky coat of hers.
  12. No, I am in Victoria, why would you think I was living in QLD?
  13. Yes I agree that she does have a similar body shape of a shih tzu but once again, shih tzus don't possess blue eyes. This pup doesn't have the typical undershot bite of a shih tzu either and apparently whatever shih tzus are bred to tend to produce pups with an underbite.
  14. I think this as well A seriously gorgeous puppy. In fact, I think she might give CW_EW's Charlie and Emmy a run for their money. Moselle, tops marks for giving that response to people who wanted to breed her. I was once offered $5k for my teeny weeny Maltese, but didn't know anything about byb or the dreadful numbers of dogs killed every years. In the second photo, she looks as though she could have Golden Retriever and if that was the case, no wonder her poor mother had to have C-section and then desexed. The cross may become a little more obvious once she is older. I will have to practice biting my tongue in the privacy of my own home so therefore when I take her out on walks it will become 2nd nature otherwise I am going to be giving someone a piece of my mind, there's only so much nonsense that even I can take and I pride myself on having lots of patience. Golden Retriever? :p I have never heard of GR possessing blue eyes.
  15. Yep that is Bomber the boxer in my avatar. He is quite a tad bigger than that now though, and i totally agree that they are the best. But i would say that wouldn't i! Satin really is very adorable. I bet she gets lots of interest when you are out and about with her. awww thanks, Melbomb. Yes I do get lots of interest but the part that I find really annoying is people suggesting I should breed her; maybe the key to end all that is to put a placard on her saying that she has been fixed but then I would probably be asked as to why I would have chosen to do that . Ah, you are right, boxers are the best therefore you have every right to say that! You wouldn't have Bomber if you didnt think the world of Boxers . Would you post a photo of him on this thread, pleaaaaaase.
  16. Oh I do love her for what she is, she has a beautiful temperament. Is that a boxer I see on your avatar? AAAAAHHHH I had a boxer once and will have to have another in the very near future. They are the best!
  17. That is a major surprise. Never thought purebred maltese came with one blue eye; didnt even think they carried the genetics for that to occur.
  18. Maltese x teddy bear, Yes, she certainly is a teddy bear in every which way She is cheeky with a SOH; now which dogs are known to have a SOH? mmmm boxers perhaps?
  19. I ADORE THE CAVIES. But the dam being a maltese, if she were bred to a cavalier that would not produce pups with blue eyes. She does look kinda like a "maltalier" if not for the blue eyes. Or should I say a cavalier x
  20. Thank you nickojoy and Kiesha. Although she was the result of an incident she sure is cute; gotta love those blue eyes. When I went to the park about 3 months ago quite a few people stopped me wanting to know what "breed" she was, wasn't much help there I'm afraid, just went on to explain that the mystery remains unsolved. A lady, known to be quite wealthy, took one look at Satin and wanted to take her home on the spot! Went on to offer me $3000. Well, suffice to say that Satin is still a part of my family. I was also encouraged by quite a few people that I should breed her as she would be sure to produce 'stunning' puppies just like herself I went on to explain that the shelters are already overflowing with unwanted dogs destined to die an unwarranted death and that I wasn't going to add to the statistics!
  21. Forgot to add that my friend's maltese had to undergo emergency c-section and that was followed by desexing which was very disappointing as they were really wanting to breed exceptional maltese with all that goes with resonsible breeding.
  22. It still very much goes on and always will, this is not something that can be policed. In my line of work I do come across all kinds of stories and people and I cannot get my head around how some people can be so darn cold hearted. BTW, I no longer visit them besides which I am living with someone now and he literally forbids me to visit them given that I have told him a few unpalatable things about them.
