I have put a board around my dogs kennels and fill them with straw. The dogs love it, they can dig burrows in them and roll around. It has great insulation properties and I just replace it/top it up when needed.

ABSOLUTELY Adorable Enjoy

double post.....sorry

I also use Aloveen shampoo and conditioner, but haven't bathed Katie at all yet. She hasn't needed it. But she loves water, so I am guessing once she is fully vaccinated and I can take her places she will get pretty grubby. My JRT's only get bathed when they smell, they're very clean dogs luckily nd probably have about 5 baths a year.

Unfortunately I don't think so yeah probably not..... people can be quite dopey....like the owner of the 2 Poms i just groomed. BAD SKIN, like ripped up badly with open sores everywhere. Hey guess what ,they're PACKED with fleas. So i ask if they have seen the vet "oh no we just rub avocados on it" ....OKAY, next question, do you use any flea treatments ....quite triumphantly she proudly boasts.." oh yes we use wool wash all the time" !!!!!!!!!!! Where the He!! do people get these ideas ?? (i have heard the wool wash myth before , but never the avocado one!) and when they are obviously NOT working, why do they blindly continue??? Anyway as for the OP .....you shouldn't have to ask .If it looks remotely like blood exiting the dog from any orifice, i'd be at the vet in a flash for peace of mind if nothing else. Just to add on the dopey bit (not directed at anyone) we had a couple come in to the Emergency Hospital with their pet on the weekend. non ambulatory collapsed, temp of 30.2 and had been like that for 3 days....YES THAT"S RIGHT 3 DAYS. Needless to say this pet did not make it home again. Seriously, would you not think to be concerned a little earlier???

My puppy is 11 weeks and needs to go out around 3am usually. She goes into her crate to go to sleep at about 10 pm and we are up again at 5.30 am.

I would run a quick Thyroid test. Just to rule it out.

she's probably not scooting because it's too painful to sit on. If it is an anal gland they can come up VERY quickly. Not 100% sure though still thinking.................................................... .

if you are talking just about intestinal worms then YES...It's completely safe. If you are worming for hearworm I would recommend a test first.

Perhaps a CPL test as well. (pancreatitis) -

I would suggest some abdominal x-rays to check for gas patterns and/or foreign bodies (assuming you think it's nothing spinal or muscular) -
I've re-organised the laundry cupboard which was no small task. But have managed to place the litter tray on the first shelf. I'm going to see how this goes. I've showed the cats where it is, so I am hoping they will be smart enough to go in there. Katie can't reach at the moment but when she gets bigger she might. We'll see how this plan goes for now, as my other 2 dogs also like to eat cat poo and it's gross.

She's beautiful. I think the white face makes her look very ANGELIC

Katie has developed a fettish for kitty litter. Now, my other dogs do like to eat the cat poo out of the litter if they beat us to it(we are very fast to remove this usually) but Katie has taken to just eating mouthfuls of the litter even when completely clean. this concerns me as I use the litter beads and they have all kinds of lovely chemicals in them. I scold her when I catch her in the act, but I am having real trouble breaking the cycle. Can anyone help. Oh, it's a domed litter laready with only a small opening, but I can't put the swinging door on it as my old cat won't use the litter with this on. I have laso looked for a high place to put the litter but can't fins anything suitable.(unless it goes on the kitchen dining table or kitchen bench YUCK) Although in desparation I may resort to this.
