Wow. I cannot imagine how QLDers are feeling. It was devastating here in 07 when we had ONE weekend of massive flooding. (When the Pasha Bulka ship ran aground in Newie.) To cop weeks of it is simply beyond words. Seeing the pics is enough to make you take a step back from the trivial stuff you get yourself worked up over day to day, and appreciate what you do have. My heart goes out to anyone affected...

Had my nieces 4th birthday party today. Lots of kids, cake, jumping castle...but pic of the day had to be this stunner. I thought she looked like she needed a party hat. Day 9:

Love the little puddy cat face peeping up at you Colliepaws. Love that first pic of Tag. You can't beat big brown puppy eyes.

Day 7: Taken with Canon Ixus 110. Going back to the DSLR tomorrow. ;)

I agree! I look at one and think ooh that's good, gotta comment on that. Then get to the next pic, and its wow, thats great. And so on until there are 20 impressive photo's I need to comment on......so: to everyone, your pics are great! Also agree foal pic is a standout today. I also like your portrait today Nik. And the ice cream. Aww and the cute little roo...basically all of them.

What disgusting people. Poor poor pups.

It's actually a glitter lamp. :D They may be happy, doesn't mean I can take pics of it though.

Not happy with Day 5 and 6.

I don't see how $350 could be considered a "high price" these days. When most BYBers charge as much or more than reg breeders, $350 is next to nothing, especially when you add in the extras that you don't have to worry about getting done yourself. I suppose it is expensive when you wake up and decide "I want a dog today. Can only pay what I've got in my wallet." If $350 is an extreme price, maybe they should have considered what a vet visit could cost...although I suppose they'll just breed it to cover their costs.

Sorry you've had such a sad week. RIP Molly.

Great shot DA! Evolving: You sure you don't have a couple of labs at your place?!
-
Kirislin, I did not realise at first that it was a giant ball! I thought the shot was of a normal size tennis ball in flight coming towards you! I even have my speccies on.
-
Is that the new lappy Rav? I love the variety of everyone's pics. I went down to the river today and took a heap of shots and was very disappointed in them. I got about 2 decent ones. Day 4:

I don't think the issue is trusting your dog. I have 4 labs, all of whom I consider to be 100% trustworthy. That does not mean that I allow my kids to interact with the dogs at feed time. Sure they give them treats, but they don't do "feeds". The dogs know I'm the boss, I make a point of handling their heads when they are feeding, and they know I am not a threat to their food. That doesn't mean I'd allow anyone else to do that, especially a child. Nomatter how much you trust your dog, precautions are still essential.

Isn't the one thing you'd drum into a kid especially in a doggy family "Never go near a dog thats eating???" Surely not too hard of an ask to keep the kid away for the 5-10 seconds it would take a lab to devour a meal. To me, it's in the same category as "Don't take lollies from strangers." Poor kid, poor dog.

If you're not happy with the dog you can send it my way. :D I think its a lovely shot.

This is not a standard pose for my usually refined cat....and please take note that "slut kitty" is on the dining table. :D
