thanks the main reason I was asking was cause I can't decide between the Vari Kennel and the Sky Kennel The Vari Kennel only tells you the outside dimensions where the sky kennel tells you both I just can't decide which is better

Hi everyone I am just wondering if anyone has the internal dimensions of the Vari Kennel 500 as I'm trying to compare the internal dimensions of a couple of crates I've checked so many websites that sell them and none of them have the internal dimensions Hope someone can help

Thanks Everyone for your comments and votes. I'm going to go with option C as the dog is still from the same litter as I'm interested in so the is one decision made. Now I just have to find out what she is charging for what before I give her my definite answer.

If I chose the puppy it would be able to stay with the breeder and she would show the puppy while it is over there and would cover the showing cost from the boarding fee she charges Hi in my breed hips are a problem so I most likely will go for option C Why do you recommend a male also what about females? I have been speaking with Angela for a while now and she has been such great help with helping me decide on the right lines and letting me know of any crossovers in the lines of dogs already in Australia.

I'm going to import a White Swiss Shepherd from the Czech Republic I have found a breeder I really like and she has 3 options for puppy purchase A: Puppy with export pedigree, microchip with 1 vaccination, regular worming, 8 weeks of age B: Young dog for breeding with complete teeth C: Young dog for breeding with complete teeth, X-ray monitoring of hips and elbows of young (maximum to grade 1/ B) My vet recommends C because of the Hip and Elbow and teeth guarantee. I'm wondering which option you would choose. The dog will be ANKC re-registered.

greatdanes101 I have also heard of -Animal Travel- and I thought they were the same but -Animal Travel Worldwide- is based in the czech republic and they hadn't come up in any of my searches. Dasha thank you for that info I hadn't realised that was the case I think I will have a talk with the breeder and just use jetpets as they seem to be great so far and are very helpful.

I am looking at importing a dog from the Czech Republic and the transport agency my breeder uses is Animal Transport Worldwide and they are cheaper then some of the other transport companies but they don't include: -quarantine inspection charges or any other customs charges not associated with a normal service -airport handling fee and quarantine fee in Sydney I'm not sure if I should go through the one the breeder uses as I haven't heard of them or just go through JetPets and they pretty much handle everything. What are your thoughts Thanks for any help/ comments

I live inland from Cairns and I was just wondering if anyone up here shows and where are they usually I will be importing a White Swiss Shepherd and am not sure how to go about showing in this area. Any help would be appreciated

I ordered mine on the 1st Feb and I haven't received it yet hopefully this week I could really use it this weekend Did you get an email to say it had been shipped? ETA I just checked my purchase details and it had been updated to say it was shipped on the 25th.

My first "own" dog came from basicly a BYB though at the time I didn't know the difference and she told me so many lies and had so many opinions on what I should do with my dog that I won't buy from a BYB again. Now that I'm looking at breeding the same breed I have been looking overseas for great lines to introduce to Australia. I have emailed probably 15-20 different breeders and have 2 I really like and 1 of them has even offered to look after the puppy when I buy if for the duration of it's stay in their country (9 months) I am so happy with these breeders that I don't really have to look elsewhere but I would still like to get a reply from some of the others because there are some really great lines in Europe for White Swiss Shepherds. I think the language barrier may be part of the problem but I only emailed the ones that had an english language part of their site. I would buy from breeders who don't have an email but having so much difference in times it is simpler for me to email. And I am very happy with most of the breeders that have replied and others I understand that sending their puppies to Australia may be too much for them even though their lines are exactly what I was chasing.

I'm digging up one of my old threads but I'm just updating about my Novagard collar. I got a small medium to start with but since I held off with getting my pup desexed I now need a bigger size and Tasi has been great initially when I was buying the first one and now when I need a new size. If you need an after surgery collar this is a good idea

dwilds, I hope you survive the night unscathed. It is awful watching it on the news and knowing nothing can be done to help. I can't imagine what you are all going through up there. As to how long - I ordered mine boxing day and got it I guess 2.5 weeks ago? So it was around 3 weeks. I think she says 2 - 3 weeks then postage time. Last time I looked on her blog she said she had a lot of orders so the time was a bit longer than usual. We came through fine we were without power or water for 5 days so we moved in with family. We had no damage to our house and only had a couple of trees down so only minor for us compared to cyclone larry. If it had of came up the cost another 20-30 kms there wouldn't be anything left at my place. If another cyclone comes I'm outta here before it gets close i'm not risking it this time. As for my bag she may make it quickly because she is excited about using the materials I chose for my bag. I'm not in a huge hurry but it would be nice to get it quickly

Same here and also not looking forward to Yasi. I'm in the same area as you (Wondecla). Everyone in Cairns is being evacuated to high ground and the Atherton Tablelands - I'm not sure if that is a good idea as we are also going to cop a lot of the storm but we aren't going to cop the storm surge. I would be evacuating but it would take me too long to get out of the way of this Cyclone and take the animals with me. Larry was scary mainly because we had a lot of things around the yard that would have made great missiles, this time that is all cleaned up and we just have to finish getting the things off the veranda and make sure we have the dogs beds moved inside. I am also hoping my work decides that No we don't have to work or I might be stuck there. But head office tells them if we can close or not and our company is hungry for money I wish that the government would come up with a way to evacuate animals because all information about evacuations say "leave any pets with plenty of food and water" If I'm evacuating so is my animals.... this system just makes that difficult. Lets see how much of the news will have the after effects of the this cyclone? and what areas it shows?

When using the thundershirt I have found that it has reduced the reactions to people as like Lab_Rat my pup has "Strange Visitor Anxiety" but she also has "Strange Men Anxiety" The change hasn't been huge but hopefully with perseverance it should help. She doesn't like anyone except for her "Family" and even people that are here daily for 3 months still get reactions from her. My big test will be on Wednesday when we go back to obedience - unless Yasi hits first. Hopefully everything works out. jr_inoz I would think that your girl may not be use to it so it may take some getting use to when she is going down stairs as the movement is different to what she would be use to, the same with going through the dog door she may not feel confident with the shirt on when going through small spaces but you may be able to change that by using treats to entice her to do it while she has the thundershirt on. the thunder shirt has made a big difference but it isn't a complete turn around yet.....

Well I've just sent a custom order for a purple tapestry, distressed chestnut leather, purple interior, brown strap and tan canvas. Hopefully I hear back in the next day or so I really need a home for my camera especially now I've started my photography course. . I also can't wait for it to arrive and be able to see what I chose.
