I'm getting a white shepherd and I don't know what size. I have been looking at crate after crate and I have decided I have no clue. I like the look of the soft crates but I'm not sure how they would go being outside on our verandah cause our dogs aren't allowed inside. I'm also looking at the metal wire crates. the wire crates that I'm looking at come in the following sizes: Small 62cm x 45cm x 52cm Medium 76cm x 53cm x 60cm Large 90cm x 60cm x 67cm Large 109cm x 72cm x 82cm XX-Large 120cm x 75cm x 83cm there were so many different sizings of the soft crates I don't know what size/ style would be ok. I just want to ask what is the sort you would recommend it will mainly be used as a bed I have a small car seat carrier for a medium sized dog for the pup until the dog gets older and then she will will be harnessed in the back seat. any suggestions would be great Danika

Thank you Kavik that is what I was wanting to know. And that is also why I am looking into it at the moment. What is "shaping, Targeting, sending to reward, circle work/ shadowing"? I'm not sure what you mean and how do you teach it? I thought the same thing but the breeder is actually willing to let the pup leave at 6 weeks but when I said that I wanted to leave the pup with the litter til 8 weeks the breeder said that as the mother doesn't have anything to do with the pups from 7 weeks old that it would be fine. I was actually rather shocked when I was told that I could pick it up 6 weeks adn when I asked the breeder why they said that because I lived close to them and the puppy didn't need to be shipped interstate that it would be fine to get the pup at 6 weeks.

I'm getting a white swiss shepherd and I was wondering how to go about making a backyard agility course for both the new puppy and my 2 yr old great dane cross I don't want to go into competition but want to give the dog something to stimulate them. Also what age would be OK/earliest to start the white swiss shepherd puppy on any courses as i'm getting her @ 7 weeks old any hints and tips would be great Thanks Danika

I'm getting a white swiss shepherd in a couple of months and just wondering what other people recommend for feeding it. My breeder recommends Royal Canin German Shepherd for them but I am looking into Vets All Natural Complete Mix. I would prefer to feed a natural diet rather then just dry food even if it is a good food. Or would feeding both but at different times of the day work? Does anyone have anyone have any experience with these two products and what are your thought on these items. Help and opinions are greatly appreciated. :D

Hi All I've joined the ranks of people waiting for their perfect new puppy. :D :p I'm speaking to a breeder of American White Swiss Shepherds up near cairns (also near where I live) and she has a litter due at the beginning of July so I just can't wait I saw the mother week ago and she looks so wonderful :p . I know for a fact I've chosen the right breed of dog :D can't wait to see them when their born and I can't wait to choose my new girl. She will have a friend to come home to a male Great Dane X and kitty called Panther who is the boss of everyone Now I just have to come up with a name I like "White Rose" in memory of my dad who always wanted a dog of this breed, but other then that I don't know.
