We have been using Interceptor Spectrum so far. Our vet said we could have a DNA test to check - maybe you could investigate that? No idea how much it would be.

Aww she's beautiful, Clastic. Mars sounds like a lovely big brother. Billie would love a playmate but I think that is a long way off.

Billie's current favourite indoors toy is a plastic practice golf ball...she gets all excited and dashes down the hallway if I even look at the ball. Last week an empty 3L milk bottle, before that a stuffed flea toy (I found the flea beheaded the day after her last Advantix...coincidence? *x-files music*). Outside it is balls and rope toys. She is not keen on any of the specific teething toys we bought - prefers a piece of wooden dowel she found somewhere, or a rope toy that we wet and throw in the freezer. She is fond of a hockey puck so I use a silicone muffin tray to make ice pucks (I get something like diced ox heart and put a piece in each muffin cup then fill with water and freeze) - she bats them around, chases them, gnaws on them etc...but give these outside or before you mop the floor. What is this Canine Genius toy?

One of our family dogs (a desexed adult labrador) was taken from our yard when I was a teenager. It was devastating, but our other dogs continued to live outside and my puppy will soon be transitioning to outside all day while we are away. I have taken some precautions - we added fencing so she cannot get close to/be seen from our street frontage and we will have locks on our external gates. If I lived somewhere that dog theft was a problem or had a 'high value' dog (high value to lowlives that take animals; my doglet is priceless to me), we would take different precautions. You can only do what you think is right - I personally don't feel it is neglectful to have a puppy Elbie's age outside in a suitable yard.

Lovely work jacquilee81! Pup is very lucky you picked him up before anything unfortunate happened. I almost hit a wee pomeranian in the middle of the road last year; he followed us on to the footpath but wasn't keen on being touched (probably something to do with the row of stitches on his belly). Doorknocking went nowhere so we eventually bundled him in to the car and took him to a nearby vet. They took our number to pass on using his chip details but wouldn't take him - told us we could either put him back where we found him (on the road? great idea) or take him home. Obviously we took him home and he was collected late that night by his worried family.

Peanut butter works as 'icing' too - though not sure humans will enjoy it as much as the doglets if it is a shared cake.

Same. My puppy seems to like it. We tried Eagle Pack Holistic first but there was a formula/range change and couldn't find anyone with the appropriate version in stock.
