Anyone heading to Bulla this weekend, l can't find my gazette and just went to double check start time and if there were any requirements for dogs.
-
Yes the other perfix is the same breed, l know who it is and the kicker is they had their prefix rejected because it was too similar to another and l was the one who wrote the letter to Dogs Vic for them to appeal the decision.
-
Yep that's what happened prefix approved early June, advertised in the gazette in September and an objection placed on the 19th of October but they had up until December to lodge the complaint.
-
After speaking with Dogs Vic the prefix fits the criteria and they have no problem with it, it's just that another member has complained that as we have the same breed and both our prefixes start with the same four letters that we may be confused. The withdrawn has been made on the grounds a compaint was lodged.
-
l have found out what the other prefix is we have the same start to our prefix and the same breed, the other people don't breed, don't have a website they just show dogs for other people.
-
Yep not too happy besides the fact l have to try get peds back l can't register this litter with two puppies heading off to show homes if l object. Plus l need to change my website, signwriting on my dog trailer, my email address everything that has this prefix on it.
-
Just got a letter from Dogs Vic to say they are withdrawing my prefix l registered almost 6 months ago. Apparently a member has seen it in the gazette and objected that it is too similar to theirs, l now need to submit 5 new choices as they were all demeed not suitable return pedigree's for the litter which has been rehomed and they will not register my current litter if l object. Has this happened to anyone before ? Does the National Prefix Register not screen for these similarities before they issue prefixes because they sure took their time issuing mine ?

Just a few more newbie quetions Is is acceptable to enter more than one dog in a tracking trial or is it frowned apon considering there may only be limited spots ? Also at what age do they allow juniors to handler their dog tracking, for showing in Vic it's seven years old but l can't find anything for tracking ?

Dates are up for Victorian ET's next year -
Sorry to hear your litter didn't go as planned. l don't think they put the breed on prefix certs as people change breeds and some have several breeds under the one prefix.

M, sorry to hear of the loss of your Mother. -
So l noticed my boy was a bit ginger on his near side front leg today and on inspection he has a little pea side lump between his toes, l am thinking he picked a grass seed up, l checked him yesterday morning before obedience and all paws were fine and he was fine before going to bed lastnight. l have washed it in warm salty water twice but can not get in to see the vet until tomorrow morning. l am wondering if putting a poultice on it might help suck the seed out and where l can get one/ make one. There is a little bit of puss but no hole that l can see

That would be great if you could PM me their DOL name :D

We done the GSD this year as my boy didn't turn 2 until the 14th of June, was looking at the Sale ET but heard due to lack of entries it may not go ahead. Not sure if they actually ran it this year and if they will try again for next year considering the low numbers it attracts. -

Probably too early, check out the GSD website to see if they have next years calander up yet, we will be doing it again. Such a pity you have to cancel M, might see you next year.
