I do not wish to hijack this thread and I am not affiliated to any rescue group. But I am a volunteer at the Blacktown AHF. A volunteer from its earliest days. And for 2 days now I have been stewing over comments made on this thread regarding the above mentioned comments by NotMidol. I challenged you regarding this dog and your only come back was we agree to disagree. I will challenge you again to meet me at the AHF tomorrow Saturday 26/1/13 at 9.00am yes they are open, to assess this dog seeing you have stated that you are not a beginner in dog behaviour. This dog is neither human or dog aggressive and with a few hrs training it will be stock proof. Finally this dog is very intelligent and in fact has a acute sense to be able to single out frauds. Hope to see you tomorrow at 9.00 am as I have cancelled a appointment to prove you wrong. Once again sorry for this rant as it does not pertain to the topic. Sorry, I work weekends. Because BYBs are known for producing sound, health-tested dogs, right? :rolleyes: If you actually feel this site is a waste of time.. why exactly are you here? The only thing I can think of is to troll. Also.. for someone so bothered by "do gooder dog rescuers", you sure do spend a lot of time in the rescue section ;) I sure do saving worthy dogs. Not trying to save every impounded dog at any cost.

These dogs make exceptional pets and as stated already are used widely in the States as hunting dogs. They are becoming more popular in Australia in the hunting scene as bailing dogs (dogs used to find and stop pigs from running without physically holding the pig) the pig is then dispatched with a firearm. There are very few breeders in Australia and most that are not from reputable breeders are crosses or in fact not Catahoulas at all. As for seeing them in pet shops I doubt this will happen as their price tag would be huge in a pure form. Predominantly white or full white dogs will have health issues. As is the case with any dogs in the wrong hands could be undesirable.

Hi all, Looking for some tips on introducing a new dog to the 2 I have already. The 2 dogs I already have are a 1yr male jrt and a 3yr female staffy. The 2 I have already get on really well together so would 3 be a crowd. I have the facility to kennel a new dog so they are not all lumped together if not at home. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
