  1. I know this is an older thread but I wasn't sure if anyone had seen the new ad on Aissue Labradoodles for sale.. for wait for it.. 1200 EACH with a 300$ non refundable deposit. I'm scratching my head.
  2. Gumtree couldn't care less what people do on there, just like the crap that went on with the young girl who'd get cheap dogs and sell them for 'big' money claiming she couldn't afford them etc etc etc .. -rolls eyes- Though the OP shocks me, I wonder what they turned out like ..?
  3. I have one of these (biggest one). highly recommend them, very tough and wash fantastic!! "Made from super tough 1000 denier fabric, not only is the D1000 washable, Teflon coated, UV treated, flea-free, re-fillable AND water repellent it also looks so good you might need two - one for inside & one for outside! The cover is sealed with a completely hidden durable zip & the inner is also zippered to allow for easy washing (ideally suited to our Laundry Bag!) & fresh filling. We'd never call any of our beds 'indestructible' (they're for dogs after all) but this bed is tough with a capital T! " http://www.snooza.com.au/products/d1000.shtml
  4. I wont feed Proplan, so sorry to hear what happened to your dog. I love looking up the ingredients in these 'premium' foods on the dog food analysis site, gives you the pros and cons!
  5. I understand your concern though she is our dog.
  6. We have been to 3 different vets and her diet is balanced and correct, even when weaned onto adult food. She is in good condition and healthy so where not going to change anything.
  7. Sounds like a good idea AmaCam+Digby Though i have to say, had two pups (got the first at 9 weeks and the second at 13 weeks but both where the same age (from the same litter), anyway so two 13 week old Sibes.. easy as! they where great! .. Not deaf but had selective hearing :D
  8. My bitch is 20 months old and still on puppy food, we did wean her onto adult food just before she turned 1 but she dropped weight and we struggled to keep it on her (did try different brands over time) and so she is still on puppy and her weight is where it should be. Sorry not much help!
  9. Holistic Select is the Eagle pack one. It was renamed Holistic Select and given its own website. They are both owned by Wellpet foods. I'm going on by the bag we got, just said Holistic Select on it, thanks for the clear up!
  10. I'd be a little unsure of going in and freeing the dog. What if the police/rspca/etc come and question to why the dog is free when stated earlier the dog wasn't? They'd be questioning you over it a bit. I'd not risk trespassing.. I would bash at the RSPCA, police etc.. and threaten with media.. But in saying that it doesn't mean i don't care for the dog involved.
  11. Fingers crossed something is done about this situation and the puppy can be rescued. The RSPCA are fence sitters.. tied by their legs with legal crap! Sorry but I am over the RSPCA, not only with situations like that but also adoption etc.. I have many stories especially regarding neglected horses.
  12. Highly recommend Filta-Bac. I use this on my horse (pink eyes and nose) with fantastic results, also his breeder uses it on her horses and dogs!
  13. I have a pair of bitch pants (made for bitches in heat), I'd be more then happy to send them to you as my bitch is off to be de sexed and I wont need them. You put liners in them and not actual pads, Much more comfortable then those big thick pads, I also have liners here you can have, many of them ha ha! Here is a picture Just let me know if you'd like them and I will send them!
  14. Holistic select not the eagle pack one. Ah well, I have tried to find a store that can get it in regular but it has deemed impossible and since found a feed that is best suited to my husky girl and my EP does well on it too! win win!
  15. I feed our pup 2 a day but no more, same with our husky (20+ months) I wont feed any more then this because they enlarge twice the size once inside the dogs stomach due to the acids.
  16. Oh really? Are they supplying it again? They said they where not going to any more and this is why i stopped feeding it (also other places said the same).
  17. We've had trouble getting it here in SA, even petstock aren't selling it any more! I stopped feeding this when places where finding it hard to get over here.
  18. Ever considered going to puppy pre school? (through your local vet, only need first vacc through your vet) Get for socialisation, training etc. I think he looks good, My husky when he came home was 3.8kg could feel ribs, hips etc and he was 9 weeks of age, My girl was 6.4kg at 13 weeks of age.. the boy wasn't a small dog the girl is though, was disgusting how small they where. I think he's really cute!
  19. congrats to all the new mums and dads out there Lovely pictures! I remember the long wait for my boy (2 weeks lol) .. dragged on for ages, we picked him up Friday night, a week ago
  20. Oh no... I think you need to change vets. I am not actually sure how it is possible for vets to actually believe this, with their scientific minds and all, however those pet food companies do a real number brainwashing them in vet school I guess. I have to say, I do agree! Especially with their kibble ideas :D
  21. showdog - Are you referring to 'Tucker Time'?, I absolutely love it and feed it to my puppy and adult dog. I feed 3/4 kibble and the other quarter raw, chicken necks, mince, beef mince etc and add tucker time puppy in there! He has kibble through out the day and raw + TT at night but I never mix raw with kibble due to the digestion rates (can cause bloat etc). I don't feed rice, pasta, veggies or any 'cheap' filler and give apple and plain Greek yoghurt as a treat, though Rilo has never had this yet! Bones are also fed though when he is a little older, I can say it does help having two brothers who manages butcher shops I am unsure if this is any help, We have used this diet for a while now with great results! Though every dog is different!
