  1. Yes, I know she's huge, but in my mind she's Little Sparky :)
  2. Danny's Darling - your crate is getting lots of usage :) Little Sparky is on trial adoption now but the crate was used by the two Black Hellions from Gundagai when Lee was temp caring them while they were waiting to head off to Victoria  I suspect it will see constant bleachings and usage.
  3. Went to visit a fellow foster carer yesterday and met her dogs. We work closely together but actually only met in person yesterday :) I met Brewski the very fat ACD cross who is on a diet I met sweet little Maple Sweet little Olive :)
  4. The Gundagai Hellions (now in Victoria) definitely cleaned up beautifully
  5. Jess, the Kelpie surrendered by her owner earlier this week is doing well in foster care. We picked her up on Tuesday and delivered her to her foster carer. I have been getting regular updates "She slept well on her first night." "She is very well-behaved. Happy to go outside and be toileted without a leash. She is good with the cats and the big ginger cat rubs himself up against her. She is a little timid if you move too fast and she isn't expecting it. She is is excellent with food. Takes treats from your hand very nicely. She falls asleep at my feet when I'm sitting at the couch. " Then today: "Jess is doing it tough tonight. Settling in well. She loves running and had a huge run this afternoon".
  6. They've been delivered to another carer who is driving to Sydney tomorrow Good luck sweet boys! ETA: Once in Sydney, they will be temp cared for several days and then go into foster care in Victoria.
  7. Sorry to hear that Hannah :'( Hopefully the right home will come along for Bronte soon. We picked up the BC puppies this morning. Andrew was concerned that Gundgaguy was a bit off-colour so we took him to the vet so that they could get parvo tests. Negative, thankfully. It might have been a slight overdose of wormer. Anyway, here are some photos of the cuties. I know they're BC crosses, but their paws are HUGE and they are sooooo fluffy and woolly I can't help wondering what the breed mix is. Gundaguy and Gundagal at the pound :'( We were just transporting so don't get to name. In ranger's vehicle when we came to pick them up At the vet, examining their negative parvo resulit Getting a bath from OH Getting dried by OH (I'm foster coordinator in the house - OH does all the hard work ;) Wet puppy Wet puppies They are adorable
  8. Yes, have emailed them to him. I loved her little Burberry leash that she came with :) Will be seeing Andrew on Friday to pick up the two BC cross pups
  9. Over the weekend, we visited this five year old Kelpie named Jess to see if she was suitable for rehoming. Her owner moved to a rental property and couldn't keep her. We persuaded him to surrender her to rescue instead of taking her to the pound and to keep her in his care until we could find a suitable carer for her. She is wonderful with small children, gets along with the elderly ACD cross and little puppy at her old home. She is also house-trained and travels well in a car. The weather was horrid today but we didn't want her left in her unfortunate situation longer than necessary so we picked her up and dropped her off with her new carer: Her new carer is very dog-savvy and is particularly good with Kelpies. Have a wonderful life, Jess! :)
  10. Update on cream Kelpie cross girl that we recently rescued and transported from Gundagai Pound. Here is her pound photo Being transported to her new carer She has now been adopted. Apparently she is extremely gentle with little kids and just a lovely little dog.
  11. Put up some photos from the nosework workshop in the Kelpies subforum but here are the ones of former foster Smudge doing really, really well at her first attempt at nose work Smudge - looking huge, but she's actually very wee She's found the food and she's going for it!
  12. Heh! I have emailed them to him but no idea how often he checks his email
  13. Thank you! They are all very lovable and I love them all!! So hard to say goodbye but lovely when people still keep in touch with us. Black Dog Syndome take THAT! :) Yay!! Can you tell Andrew that Eddie's carer has probably foster failed and will adopt him :) He looks gorgeous now!!! Before photos with the wonky paws: Eddie as he is now Paws are all normal now. Have a WONDERFUL life Eddie!!!
  14. Miller's trial adoption is almost finished. Somehow, I suspect that at the end of if, all we will be collecting from their house is the crate that we loaned them  We are starting our doggies at nosework (scent detection) and Hoover and Dodge attended their first workshop this morning where they all had a great time. Elbie will do it, too but it's too hard to wrangle 3 dogs. Even better was the fact that former foster Smudge attended as well, with her new mum chequeredblackdog and her new big brother Reggie. Despite still being such a wee dog, Smudge did soooooooooo well. She is a beautiful girl, shining with health and is doing really well with CBD. Not so happy when having to wait her turn though She's a very dainty little thing but was so alert and nimble as she was sniffing her way amongst the boxes.
  15. Yes, I get the sense that there is no risk of Miller failing his trial period  The whole family are totally in love.
  16. Yes, he looks to be a gorgeous little pup and his foster carer is quite smitten. Very high risk of a foster fail there. Also, Lilly - the cream Kelpie? She's already foster failed. Apparently the foster carer's husband and children can't bear to adopt her out so they're adopting her themselves :)
  17. She looks lovely. Great work! Hope she finds a wonderful new home.
  18. Elbie and Hoover at the dog park with my husband :) Dodge was with me in obedience class.
  19. Or Anubis  I made a video of Eddie for his carer He's coming along so nicely - he has come a long way since the pound! He's going to make a great buddy to someone.
  20. Miller seems to be doing really well on trial. A couple of photos of Miller with his new big brother Duke, the cattle dog cross
