  1. Hi Tic. Glad all's OK... Scary stuff. Probably a long shot but if she's lab x mabye EIC??? Can be DNA tested.
  2. 'Fainting'. Could be EIC?? worth DNA testing him.
  3. Canberra Vet Hospital has one, think they charge $10 for the use. 3 minutes from showground.
  4. I like DAP, and have used it with great success. Your pup won't get 'addicted' to it, but it just helps to take the edge off her anxiety, and I can only imagine leaving the safely of the home, mum and littermates she has had since birth must be the most stressful time of a dogs life.. It really seems to help them settle. The collars are great also, but hard to get in Oz. I really think anything to help is nice for babies!

  6. Poor girl, glad she's still feeling ok. Few things- Were pre GA blood and urine tests performed to check kidney function prior to the procedure?? Was she on Intravenous fluids during the GA and whilst in recovery??
  7. Mine only eat dry. Advance or RC. Oh, and occasionally training treats, though they're labs so their kibble is usually enough!!!
  8. I work as a VN and (so far) have not seen any affected dogs that are using advantix fortnightly.. (I personally wouldnt use proban full time, it is an organophosphete) Just IMO

I just soak my dogs ordinary kibble in boiling water, leave to soften then shove it in with a spoon, and freeze. Takes the labs about 45 minutes!!
  10. My only question is WHY are you breeding???... Your dogs live in 'dogyards', and only come inside to whelp, seems to me not true 'pets'. Most breeders dogs are pets foremost, and producing dogs secondly... Are you bettering the breed?? You state your stud dog is a small horse at 62cm... Last time I checked the breed standard male lab's were supposed to be 56-57cm... You breed choc x choc to better the chances of getting choc pups, does that seem the best for the breed?? You advertise as 'Chocolate Labrador Retriever Breeder', what about the possible blacks or yellows from these matings??? You are obviously busy, raising 3 kids with no time to show/obedience etc, yet you plan to breed 3 litters next year-eek... (2 from bitches under 2 years old) I dont post very often, as you will see, but after reading this thread, I just wondered 'WHY....."
  11. HERE'S A PIC!! guessing pic didnt work!!

  13. I also was looking for heavy duty boots, have the softer one's but get worn through reasonably quicky!! Thanks..
  14. I have used DAP diffusers and/or collars to help with great success if he does mark.
