  1. David Clarke is the registered dental specialist down there! Get onto it quickly as time is a factor with capping! Good luck.
  2. I'd ask the specialist if it was ok for your regular vet to take the rads while she's there being desexed! They can easily send over the rads (or email immediately if they are digital) as long as your vet takes the required views :)
  3. FYI- DAP also comes in an impregnated collar!!
  4. I know of 2 dogs with early kidney issues and a few with liver shunts that were picked up early with pre GA bloods. Better to be safe than sorry, you just never know IMO
  5. Have you contacted his original breeder? They might be interested in rehoming him themselves so they can screen the potential new home??
  6. http://www.dogzonline.com.au/breeds/mature/labrador-retriever.asp There's a 4 yo in SA here^^
  7. So sorry to hear about the poor Pom. May I ask how they definatively diagnosed it as lung worm?
  8. All i can say is Thank Dog you had the preanaesthetic blood testing!! That is why it is offered/recommended.! While 95% show nothing, this is great it was picked up so early!! Hope you get some answers soon!
  9. I've had several of the cheaper brands, then splurged and bought a 'back seat buddy'. Worth every cent then some, still looks new after 3 years (albeit a bit hairy!!)
  10. So sorry to hear about your dog... I would recommend you seek referral to a specialist surgeon, surprising where a good surgeon can remove a tumour from.
  11. Dogleggs.com- Australian distributed- http://www.dogsinmotion.com.au/partners/dogleggs/ Made to measure and last for ever!
  12. Glad u got some answers! Were the X-rays taken by a specialist?? If not I would have them sent/referred for an opinion! Try nOt to be too concerned, there is lots that can be done these days!! Keep him lean (read skinny!!!) and think about starting some joint supplements along with his cartrophen injections!!
  13. Yes, yes, yes... Crate train and close your door so she can't go next door when you are home. Toilet on lead then back in with you. Training and walkies on lead and back in with you. Let her go next door when you are at work (you TAKE her over, and pick her up) but enforce the rules that if you are home she is with you. She's getting very mixed messages by the sound of things. Not only you who will be stressed out, poor puppy...
  14. Hopefully the poo quantity (and consistency!) will improve now he's on an improved diet. I've used the Chunkers as training treats and yukko poops the day after
  15. Eye discharge is not 'normal' in any dog, especially if it is drying to 'gunk' even tearing is usually caused by misplaced hairs. A vet visit is warranted.
  16. Even that your asking this tells me your not ready!!! I'd be surPrised if u told the breeder all this if they would consider Placing a pup with you at the mOment. Hold out till your 100% ready, enjoy Kaos and get ready for your busy upcoming times!!!
  17. Just a thought, could anyone else take mum to another location so she can't hear the babies??...
  18. I like Jointgaurd :) Glad she went well!!
  19. The only chiro I'd trust is a veterinary qualified chiro
  20. Dogs can have pacemakers installed!! They do really well with them :)
  21. I would be inclined to trust your vet on this, as you know a 'bandage change' will also involve them checking/ cleaning/ debriding as neccesary.
