These guys are in urgent need of rescue or forever homes. We are still trying to organise how many we can take but we're pretty sure the maximum is 4, with 5 being a push. There are 10 in total. This is Mum: And here are her pups that look nothing like her at all but she doesn't seem to mind: We're really not sure on breeds. Mum is a Cattle x but the pups look nothing like her. Some look Lab-ish, others have a Shepherd kind've feel to them. Some are stockier than the others but we reckon they'll be medium size (with some possibly on the larger size of medium). They are located in NSW. The story behind them is that the 18 year old daughter moved away from home, got a pup, and at just a year old, the dog was pregnant. The daughter dumped the dog with her parents and they've had to cope with birthing and raising these guys, even though the mother is allergic to dogs and they've never owned one before. These pups have been so well cared for and are such a lovely bunch - not one timid one among them. However, they need to find homes or rescue asap. UPDATE: All are safe with rescue. Whoop!

Flickr is one of the best image hosting sites. I used Tinypic before but they randomly delete images, which was causing havoc for the websites. You also get the BB Code to post images on forums like these and can choose various sizes. With most forums there's a size limit to what you can upload. When you're linking, you can link to any size, so you don't need to lower the quality of the image.

Sushi was the newest addition and immediately went about humping Whiskey, my only other girl. Whiskey's very submissive and non-reactive to smaller dogs but it was clearly dominant behaviour - took a while to get her out of the habit and I still have to correct her sometimes.

I'm sorry, do you have a personal vendetta against Melzawelza here? Could you take it to personal messages because this kind of bitching does nothing to help the cause, which is to get the message out that all breeds should be treated equally. Hearsay (whether it be close friends or not) can be a vicious thing. If you're interested in rallying against BSL, please look into the rally itself, instead of listening to what others may say about certain comments. The internet is a tricky thing, with text being misinterpreted. Just because friends may see something they don't like - it doesn't mean you will. I don't know about you but I generally don't agree with everything my friends say/do/preach. Decide for yourself. If people were more interested in standing up and giving these dogs a voice, instead of their own personal vendenttas and egos, we would get a lot further.

Finally got my Petey hugs today at Pets Parlour. What an amazing little guy. Such a soldier. Love him to pieces.

Hope this is okay to post. Saw an update on Petey on Facebook... Poor little guy.

ChipIn can be a bit temporamental with browsers/opetating systems etc.

Whoop, whoop. Got my tickets. Of course, this will mean Ruth needs to let me have Petey cuddles at some point.

I can't wait to see Red Dog. Though, my favourite doggy movie of all time is Homeward Bound.

That was my thought too. I had played around with the idea of having something like "No Breed Left Behind."

I'm a big believer that branding should never comprise of a whole sentence. To get someone's attention, it needs to be quick and snappy. Though, something a bit more explanatory could probably go on the back. It would all be explained through other mediums anyway. A bit like "Oscar's Law." Not many people would know what that is if they saw you walking with it on your t-shirt... but if it's enough to draw attention, and get people to ask questions, then it'd done its job. But, I actually only did that mock-up to show some people how easy it is to create their own t-shirts.
-
I actually did a mock-up earlier. BSL T-Shirt Maybe not to everyone's taste though.

He just hasn't taken to anyone else the way he takes to you, Ruth. :p

In their own words: A couple of my fosters (Vegas and Arizona) are included and they were photographed by Ruthless. Arizona's print was one of five chosen to be auctioned on the night and managed to raise $450, which is amazing. Check out the site: sdch.org.au.

What about the poor guy? I think the emoticon kind've explained that.

I need to read the whole article before sharing this on Facebook looking for Nessie Foster Carers.

I saw this guy as we were picking up some of the other dogs and I remember thinking there and then that nobody would rescue him, and what an awful time he would have, and how devastated he looked. He had those eyes that could pierce your soul and, when you looked into them, you barely noticed that he was in such poor condition. Such a beautiful guy. So I was pretty ecstatic to hear he had been rescued. Big thumbs up to you all. -

Like I always say, just because your dog is small, doesn't mean it's still not a p***k. -
Hope you don't mind I shared this on our Blog.

I see this a lot in the large breeds (Wolfhounds, Danes, Mastiffs). I had a Mastiff foster here who would take himself into the bathroom and sit on the toilet. Would've really been something if he'd actually have used it. XD
