  1. Aww everyone here has adorable puppies I wanna cuddle them all! Thanks nicolatu! Actually I'm not so sure how it's going to work. I don't have enough money for a plane ticket to go visit the breeder personally (saving everything I can for the pup), but I trust her judgment in giving us a suitable puppy for our lifestyle. I'm expecting photos on the weekend, so I'll post some here.
  2. It will be a boy Airedale Terrier He's coming from VIC and my first dog, so he's going to be our special (and very spoiled!) little pup.
  3. I just received confirmation this morning from my breeder that I have a puppy!! Mama dog had 3 Males and 4 Females on Monday. Gosh I am so excited now!
  4. No problem I found it using one of Sue & Cindy's links. The site has some nice tags.
  5. The round tag on this one here gives you lots of space, but not exactly fancy looking.
  6. I would recommend you some, but I don't have a dog (yet!) However Worldforpets has a great range of toys that includes some tough ones.
  7. How clever... I thought they would had done this much earlier. The more shares they buy, the more decision-making power they have over the companies.
  8. I feel sorry for anyone that has been burgled. I would feel so violated The feeling of never being able to feel 100% safe in your own home again must be horrible. Megan_, I'm glad your dogs are safe and sound. Did you see what that van's number plate was? I hope the police find the scumbags.
  9. Whew! Thanks GardenofEden, glad to hear I'm not being paranoid. I moved to the city from the country about 3 months ago and it was a shock to discover there's hardly any neighbourly spirit here (hence the reason for all the locks!)
  10. Wow that looks awesome nice colours and I love the little cupcake design on the collar!
  11. I have padlocks on every gate that has access to the backyard, call me paranoid but it makes me feel a lot safer as I'm home alone most of the time. Do you have a copy of your lease yet?
  12. I'm sorry but... Sucks to be your sister.
  13. I would happily buy my dog a few toys, if it meant that I won't be coming home to find my place destroyed (because my dog couldn't differentiate between things which are his, and those which are mine.)
  14. Oh no ;) that's not good news. I hope Bridget's dad get well soon. I'm also not in a hurry - I made my order for my pup, who won't be here until late July.
  15. Aww thanks guys Aziah, I've done another one for you just because your puppies are so gorgeous. W/O leg With leg
  16. Not sure if this is what you wanted, but I had fun doing this. Without leg With leg I found the teacup using Google images. It's difficult to find a large photo of one, so I'm sorry if it's not the kind you're looking for.
  17. Thank you so much for replying. I have no idea if the previous tenant's dogs had parvo (they were apparently inside dogs too so I'm even more worried!!) I think I'm going to email the breeder for her opinion and ask to hold onto the pup, as I'm happy to wait a little longer and not willing to take that risk.
  18. OK so I won't be getting a puppy for another 2 months, but this thought has bothered me for a while and I would like some answers. My OH and I moved into a rental house in February with a big backyard perfect for a dog. Little did I know that the previous tenants neglected to pick up their dogs droppings at all before they moved out and it was scattered all over the yard. I've done my best to pick them all up (what a lovely job that was) and the land has been leveled out. This week we are planning to grow grass back in there. I was wondering whether I should be worried to take the puppy out in the yard when we bring him home at 8 weeks to toilet train him, as I don't want him to pick up any diseases from the previous dogs. Not many animals come into the yard (due to tall fences and secured gates) except for willy wagtails and sometimes the neighbour's ginger cat (to prey on said wagtails.)
  19. If you're not too keen on talking to them (and I don't blame you since they don't sound like very nice people) writing an anonymous letter would be the way to go. Maybe while you're writing the letter, you could suggest some solutions to their barking problem? I found a website regarding your rights as a neighbour against nuisance dogs, which might be somewhat useful.
  20. RubyStar, I agree. I mean, just look at this picture: DB with boobs and womanly hands. I don't know whether to laugh or be horrified. (found in his FB photo gallery)
  21. I'm getting an Airedale terrier, which is going to be a new experience for me. They are apparently very clever, headstrong and mischievous dogs, so I have to try to be one step ahead of them all the time. :D Glad you got a Kong! This article gives some suggestions of how/what you can fill your Kong with.
  22. I am in the same situation as you, except my pup isn't ready until July! Isn't getting a puppy exciting? What about treat dispenser toys like: Kong Biscuit Ball (link for picture) Activity Treat Ball (link for picture) Buster Cube Dog Toy (link for picture) Those type of toys aim to mentally stimulate your dog, so it stops your dog from destroying the toy by distracting it. I am thinking of getting puzzle-solving toys for my pup, like this and this. edit: I've noticed that you haven't mentioned any Kong toys (link for picture) - most people recommend them and they're durable too. Good luck!
  23. I wish I had your wit Wazzat Xolo, because that was classic!
