As I was looking at each photo, the only thing my mind could muster was: AWWWW He is so gorgeous cornell!! I hope Tia will become great friends with Hudson. -
I was looking for both actually I'm planning to do either obedience or agility (not competitive, just for fun) after the pup has been through puppy classes. Doesn't hurt to research ahead

I hope so too Clastic Oh my god I can spend hours looking online for puppy stuff, there are so many products on the market to buy! Especially toys. Trying to narrow down to a few is tough! It will be a little boy puppy. How is young Pepper going by the way? Any chance for a piccy? -

Does anyone know if there are classes in the South-west Perth area (live close to Jandakot, but willing to do long drives if classes are worth it)

Childrens play tunnels are good - try Toyworld or IKEA (this is the IKEA one here) Maybe even eBay too (cheapest one I could find on eBay) -
Fine - it's been edited. At least it narrows down the list a little.

Doesn't mean they are quiet though. Mmm yeah true I did a Google search and chose small breeds that are described as 'quiet' or 'fairly quiet' (anyone experienced with these breeds are welcome to agree/disagree/give opinions): Affenpinscher Bedlington Terrier Boston Terrier Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Chinese Crested English Cocker Spaniel French Bulldog Italian Greyhound Japanese Chin Lhasa Apso Pekingese Shih Tzu Tibetan Spaniel

Ever thought about Basenji or Shiba Inu dogs? They don't bark but they do yodel.

Wow that lady has a huge grudge against small dogs! I loved how the presenter agreed with Steve afterward about how egotistical and stupid she sounded.

Direct link here for those having trouble. -
Since moving to the city I have developed a short temper with idiots (hi Perth drivers!) and since my suburb has no off-lead areas I would not hesitate (as a last resort) to raise my foot either. Sometimes you have to be cruel to be kind to get through to some people.

I agree identification marks, some people use ribbons, others collars, other nail polish or white out. my puppy had a pink ribbon for a while then went to orange spots from nail polish lol Thanks guys! I wasn't so sure because I've only seen ribbon used to identify pups, not whiteout. The more you know! -

Yay photos! I will be sent pictures weekly, so I'll update when I can. Whelp day: One week old: (Any idea what those white spots are?) Cat - Hi!! I remember talking to you ages ago about getting a puppy. Hamish looks gorgeous in your signature Did you crate train him when he was young? I'm trying to figure out what size crate to get mine for. Internet sources say 36' Large or 42' X Large... it's quite confusing haha belgian.blue & Tokkie - Awww borderfan & cornell - 11 days to go! dwilds - I bet you are excited! What breed will you be getting? -
Scary! Lucky I live SOR, but that doesn't mean I'm safe. There are recent cases in Mandurah and Margaret River if anyone is planning on heading through that way. I totally agree. I only heard about parvovirus through here on DOL. Now I'm disinfecting the whole yard and house with bleach 2 months before my puppy comes home.

Hey that's awesome I wished I lived close enough to visit them. I've only seen photos of Becky (the mama dog) and a few others on their website. All look wonderful! -
Since you live nearby, why don't you drop in and say hi, and ask what kind of qualifications/qualities they look for in their workers. I'm sure if you worked with them before, they would be happy to answer your questions. I personally think you should finish school first before going head first into any courses. Do science/biology classes so you have a strong background. TAFE in NSW has a Certificate III in Dog Behaviour and Training that you can do after you graduate high school. You should check out the MyFuture website and see what kind of occupations there are in the animal industry. Here's a head start.

borderfan, Verdant Amphibian, nicolatu & belgian.blue - Thanks for sharing your experiences! borderfan, I love doing questionnaires. I hope the breeder is interested in asking us lots of questions, and email lots of photos so we can get the best puppy for us. My boyfriend works away from home at the mine, so I'll have to look after the pup most of the time (which I don't mind!) Verdant Amphibian - Aren't they lovely indeed! I had been searching for the most compatible breed for us since January. When I saw the description and pictures I fell in love with them. My boyfriend initially didn't like them (he likes to judge things by their looks) so I told him more about the breed (Good with kids, affectionate, loyal, good watchdog potential, moderately independent, intelligent, high activity level, likes to swim, etc.) he then quickly warmed up them. We're planning to buy a ute later this year and he likes the idea of having the pup come for a ride with us everywhere, cruising in the back. I will be getting my puppy from Lyn and Colin at Airewood. Lyn is wonderful and always willing to answer any of my questions. belgian.blue - Deal! I live in South Lake if that's not too far south Lindainfa and Clastic - Gorgeous puppies!!
