  1. I get the same in my area my peke boy is the only one around for 100s of km. I have people wanting him to breed with their pugs as he's just a long haired pug anyway. Others want him to breed with their swf. both pet shops have approached me as we could sell the pups for so much as no one else has one.
  2. Definatly don't have owwners. I'm a slave, servant, cook, groomer, taxi driver, beautician and hey snort you pay attention to me or i'll snot ya. Even the rotti is well trained to my peke he is supreme being and no is allowed to forget it.
  3. Hi I have a 4 year old pure bred fully reg male. He is my baby I keep him clipped short as he has a lot of probs with the heat (almost lost him to heat stroke) and no one ever told him he was supposed to be a lap dog so he runs around outside rolling in the mud lol. He has just had surgery for a ruptured sylivary gland. He believes he is as big and as brave as a Rotti and defends us just as well as one. There a great breed to have just make sure you get one from a breeder as they do have some probs.
  4. Well today I started with his tablets he has never had tablets before as I use a worming liquid with him. So I put his tablets in to some meat and watch like a hawk he walks around the corner spits the meat out and eats the tablet. He then looks at me as if to say I'm not stupid or a baby I can have tablets that aren't wrapped in food. My baby is a big boy
  5. Well he is home all safe. Vet stated he had never seen such a big lump on such a small dog it was what a large breed dog would have got. Yet he drained it 3 weeks ago. Back on Friday for his drain to be removed and in 2 weeks for the stitches. He looks like a turkey with a big fold of skin under his jaw. Going to take a while for that to disappear. Thanks to all those who wished him luck and gave advice.
  6. Well he's having his operation right now so fingers crossed all goes well. I'm sitting here by the phone just in case.
  7. Thanks guys He is having it done as it is affecting his swallowing and is not draining itself. The vet drained it 10 days ago and it is now back up to what it was before he drained it. It is only one side of his neck so hopefully the other wont rupture as well I don't think I could handle another operation for him.
  8. My 4 year old Peke is having surgery on his saliva gland apparantly it has ruptured and is filling with syliva. Has anyone elses baby had this kind of surgery. Starting to get worried as he has never had surgery before.
  9. My Pekingese is very quiet. Will bark though if there are people close to the fences. They may not bark much but they snore real bad and loud lol My pug barks like it's going out of fashion mind you she's only 10 weeks old and insists on trying to kill everything.
  10. Just wondering if any of the forum regulars breed pekingese or if there is a topic to discuss them in as I looked in the 101 forum and couldn't see anything. Thanks
  11. But I never thought about id bands before and I thought I was pretty ready to register. So it I was and had my first litter and asked this question I would have been crucified and all over a trivial thing. I know she is a BYB but at the start of the thread no one knew and the replys were still harsh. Newbies who are open to being told where they have gone wrong and indicate that that are ready to change their ways are never crucified. Those who just come here looking for better ways to raise their BYB litters won't find so much help. This one was obvious it was an unregistered litter, nobody pointed it out but you can tell from the first post usually, that is why she isn't getting met with open arms. That makes sense to those of you who can tell from the word go but for the rest of us who unfortunatly can't, the comments and reception just sounded harsh and unfair and very unwelcoming.
  12. Why? Because they refuse to support people who are destroying the breeds that they are working so hard to preserve and improve? No because I'm not perfect and may make mistakes but according to this site that is a big no no, and if I did and asked for help I'd be crucified. you obviously don't read the breeders forum very much, plenty of questions (mistakes too) there and good sound advice So I'd be crucified here but not the breeders one it shouldn't matter where I post a topic.

  15. This site sometimes puts me off becoming a registered breeder. Some of the people here give registered breeders a bad name and I wouldn't want to be lumped in that category.
  16. Whats worse is the ones you miss and spend 2-3 days being rained on they go all gooey like the dog has the runs. Try getting them off the grass without leaving a mess behind. I don't know my dogs seem to have to go poo in the area the kids use. kids have 1/4 of the grass the dogs have the other 3/4 but no we have to poop on the kids bit. lol
