I imagine that all animals which pass through the RSPCA are sent to the dead animal dump, as the horse was. That would be standard practice, so the horse was sent there as standard practice. That was exactly my thoughts.. why lie about it? I'm sure the lady would have been much less offended if she was just told the horse was euthanized and disposed of.. even better they could have given her the opportunity to dispose if it herself since she seems particularly sensitive about it and saved themselves the trouble! It just seems so silly that they lied about it and I think it proves that they are running scared and trying to patch things up.. silly silly.

No. Idiots OS have been breeding 'teacup' Cavaliers Really? That's kind of disappointing too hear! Not surprising though.. soon there will be a BYB teacup for just about every breed of dog.. . To my understanding cavaliers are rather predisposed to hip and spinal problems? I hate to think what condensing their skeletons does either by selectively breeding small ones or crossing them with smaller breeds.. not very good at all. :D

Mine are all too fat for them! Lol

Haha how ridiculous! I love it when people assume you'd make up silly things like that.. just seems so ridiculous. A mini Cavalier would be very cute though.. ;)

Lol I'm not sure that toilet roll fetish has anything to do with labs specifically! My Italian greyhound adores toilet rolls.. but like you, I find it hard to get mad at him when he steals them.. way too cute. hehe

That poor horse.. I find it very disturbing that the horse was thrown in a dump when the previous owner was told it was buried.. why would they want to lie like that.. ? They're obviously ashamed.. :/.

It was actually made for people !!! fifi Wow I will definitely have to have a look at this stuff now! Sounds like good stuff..

My thoughts exactly! Although it is nice to have 'confirmed' in an official sort of way.. people often scoff when I tell them my dogs know when I'm sad and make a conscious effort to cheer me up

Hahaha oh dear.. atleast they do look a tiny bit guilty in that photo! Naughty doggies

People can take that? I had no idea! I'd only seen it talked about for dogs lol.. I'll have to investigate

Two words: Rescue Remedy.. Hahaha I dont think my dog will be nervous at all! He's got 75 points towards his Australian Champion so he's an experienced little chap.. his previous owners say he will 'show me what to do'... good lord how I hope that's atleast a little true.. Lol.

I dont think getting another dog will necessarily guarantee an extension of her life.. but being that she loves other dogs she might really enjoy a companion! My old girl is 11 this year and when we were first looking at getting a puppy I was worried she wouldn't deal with it.. but she actually loves him, it's really livened her up.. given her something to do when we're not home! She seems much more active now . But also.. you have to consider that being that she's been an only dog her whole life (I'm assuming?) she might not appreciate the 'invasion' of a young puppy and may feel threatened. So tread carefully and dont rush into anything!

What gorgeous photos! Looks like it was fun a day and the dogs were loving it . I'm a new SA member and would love to come along to the next one with my Italian Greyhound pup! Are these sorts of meets held often in SA?

If you have a big dog, feeding them something as small as on oxtail probably isn't a good idea.. generally they will just gulp it down! I feed both of my dogs raw in gigantic chunks so they really have to work to chew the bones and meat into manageable sizes before swallowing it. I've never had either of them choke but I do sometimes get worried too!
