I'm not 100% sure that it's big enough.. but the 'North Adelaide Dog Park' is pretty big, I've seen plenty of people jogging with their dogs there. It's a fairly popular park though

I think it's wrong for the victim to be upset that the witnesses didn't help him. If I were in his position, I would not have expected anybody else to jeopardize their life and limbs for me - those dogs clearly meant business. I'm not sure what he expected them to do - it would have taken a great deal of courage for the average person to get out of their car and go over and help.. and if they had gone about it the wrong way they could have made things worse! The only person this man should be mad at is the fool who failed to keep their animals properly confined. If I was in the victims position, I would WANT someone to film it happening! You can't dispute such strong evidence in court.. I am sure this man will have no trouble at all pursuing a case with the owner of these dogs and he has every right too. I do hope that the police were called first/called by somebody else in the car.

Not heaps strange compared to some of those.. but I have a customer who has a maltese X called 'Snot' lol. Another one that springs to mind is a customer with a lovely GR X Poodle called 'Goth'.. suits him so well! lol

I think a lot of people are misunderstanding in which way this man forgot his dog was in the car. I'm only speculating but given the information available, I'm fairly sure I'm correct in saying that it wasn't that he knew the dog was there and made a conscious decision to leave her in the car for any reason.. he actually forgot she was in the car at all. It has tragically occurred with peoples babies and toddlers.. 'forgotten baby syndrome' http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-2113440/Forgotten-baby-syndrome-It-unthinkable--accidentally-leaving-baby-hours-lots-busy-parents-devastating-consequences.html#axzz2KBvIToaR Poor dog and poor Guide dogs WA worker.. he would be heartbroken.

I Shouldn't Feed Turkey To My Dogs
Skitch replied to sheena's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
My dogs diet is mostly based on raw turkey.. he's been eating the same thing for 3 years and appears quite fine.. lol. I think as mentioned earlier, people google weird things like "what foods are bad for dogs" and when turkey skin comes up, as in.. fatty, cooked roast turkey skin.. they immedietely appply all of the information to turkey as a whole.. raw turkey is fine and turkey necks are great :) -
Bowls - Non-slip, Dishwasher Proof, Big Enough For Labs
Skitch replied to Katdogs's topic in General Dog Discussion
I use those bowles as well PME. They are excellent, non slip, d/washer safe etc. life time warranty. Dura pet makes them from memory :) Yep, Durapet.. they are my favorite too :). They go right down to teeny weeny kitten size and right up to great dane size.. -
A tough one.. if it were just me and my animals or maybe even just my partner and my animals.. I would stay with them no matter what happened. However.. having a child makes things a bit more tricky! There is no way in hell I would want my child to stay with me and miss being evacuated so I'm quite sure that if I was presented with a situation where we needed to evacuate I would go with my toddler to the safest place and leave my animals if there really was no other way. It would break my heart into pieces and I would do everything possible to ensure their safety (and definitely would have a go smuggling them hidden under my shirt! lol) but ultimately.. if it came down to leave with my child or stay with them.. I would have to go :'(. I hope that never, ever has to happen.. it's made me teary just thinking about it!!!

Our dog (4 year old Italian Greyhound) had 1/2 a turkey neck and about 100g of the BARF mix I make Our foster dog (a 16 month old quite underweight staghound) had 600g BARF mix, a big handful of puppy kibble, a lamb neck bone and the other half of the iggies turkey neck which she bench surfed off the countertop! Cheeky thing. lol

Perfect name for the white one! lol

Mine is always inside when were are out, usually in a crate unless we can't get back to let him out for longer than 4-5 hours which sometimes is the case. When it's hot I leave the fan on for him but rarely the aircon, our house stays remarkably cool thanks to it's 18ft ceilings!

Yes, absolutely! However not every dog I come accross, usually just the ones who are actively trying to get my attention as I walk past or something lol. I own a nervous dog who would not like to be touched by strangers so I'm conscious of that but if there is a dog wiggling on the end of it's lead for a pat I will always ask the owners and do so if they say it's okay :)

I dont really have an opinion on this.. but the lack of angulation in the 'bone mouth sharpei's' hind legs at 3:29 is a bit unsettling! Is that normal for a bone mouth sharpei??
-
I sometimes feed the drum sticks but honestly prefer the wings :)
-
Sounds like a relatively normal reaction to me and one that I have observed in my foster puppies several times. It sounds like he is on the mend and I would not be overly concerned at this point :) I imagine that the diarrhea should be gone over the next couple of days.

What Wierd Stuff Does Your Dog Do With You?
Skitch replied to Little Gifts's topic in General Dog Discussion
My cattle dog X used to obsessively lick me on the legs after a shower.. used to drive me up the wall! Lol My Iggy likes to hop in the shower me when the opportunity presents! It's a bit weird as he usually hates water and would do anything to avoid a bath.. but if I'm in the shower, he wants to get in and wont take no for an answer easily Lol
