Yes small fluffy was offleash in it's front yard(no fence) 3 fighting dogs on lead rush it, drug affected owner could not hold on to the leads, so she ran away. Also council is looking into limiting ownership to 2 dogs, fair enough, those 3 dogs weight combined were double her weight, She no longer lives in town.

HaHa, best not come to where I live, where dogs are generally allowed in shops or blocking the door waiting for there human, sorry you live in such an uptight world. :D

Makes me happy to live in a small coastal town where 80% dogs are walked off leash, I dread the day when we get more sea changers moving down to get away from it all only to bring all the rules with them. You don't need a leash to keep your dog under control, we have taught our girl to give dogs on lead a wide birth as it is a tourist dog and is not used to freedom. There has only been one person in our area that has troubled other people with out of control dogs ie: killing a little fluffy one. Ironically the killers were on the lead, the matter was dealt with privately.

Actually, Koalas are in plague proportions in many parts of the country, quietly starving to death because the public screams they are to cute to cull. Odd things, well if it wasn't for the Asians I doubt I would be able to find a decent take away meal, yeah we need to educate them with Mcdonalds and Kentucky fried.

I know that the problem is me - I wondered if like it was a common thing for dogs to pee on people their owners hated - I have seen dogs pee on random people at the park but this is different - this is only people that have wanted to negatively impact on my life - they have both been alcholics, one is trying to avoid child support and his children - they're just not nice people. I am a passionate person if you like, I think that people I haven't met yet are potential friends and my dog has the same attitude. But if you hurt me or my family or someone I care about, I don't forget it and I certainly can't forgive it. So no, I don't really care that my dog has peed on these people and that is the problem. He peed on people maybe 3 times in his whole life. He has peed on the belongings of one of them many many times and it was wrong but obviously I can't hide how I feel about someone from my dog. I will make sure he is not with me when I have to deal with these people. First up, you need to see a psychologist. To be blunt, you need more work than the dog. I'm surprised your dog is still entire, if he peed on my leg a swift boot would be my reaction. Being an alcoholic does not make you a bad person, you really should see someone, as you said you don't care that he peed on them and that is the problem.

I've met just as many bogan women dog owners as men and equally as ugly, the sort of generalization that you are using is part of the problem, you generalize that bad owners are male, the public generalize that all bull breeds are dangerous.Before I lay on the ground so you can all form a circle and lay the boots in, I have met many bullies and find them to be nice dogs.

Reminds me of the time many years ago, we were visiting some friends in Kalbarri and our dog was inside and we were sitting around having a cuppa, the dog had not long before eaten some raw chops. I looked over and I could see she was a about to throw up, I quickly picked her up to fling her out the open door about 10 feet away, big mistake, as I swung the dog around she projectile vomited along the whole wall, poor girl I think she was still vomiting as she was airborne through the door, and our hosts well they just thought it was hilarious and have been giving me stick ever since.

What a unit, why not be happy with the joy of giving quietly and anonymously , or would you like to bask in the glory of generosity, would you like updates on what your particular donation was spent on? I WAS PLANNING ON MAKING IT A QUIET NON INTRUSIVE DONATION FROM A COMMUNITY GROUP. NEVER WAS IT ABOUT A DOG GROUP OR USING TROYS NAME. IT WAS ABOUT GETTING A NICE AMOUNT OF MONEY TOGETHER TO GIVE TO A FAMILY WHO HAVE BEEN TO HELL AND BACK. That's ok, the group is for people who do support the use of prong collars, you don't have to join (or use them - the beauty of choice, unless you live in Victoria where you don't have any) I don't use prong collars on my dogs but I believe the choice to use them should be available. I'm not a fan of tools like head collars, but I don't believe ANY tool should be banned - it's a slippery slope IMO and we should be focusing not on banning a tool but proper education on how, why and when to use them. Great words Bec. Education on the proper use of any training tool should be undertaken before you put any type of collar or lead on your dog. But sadly it is the uneducated that seem to scream the loudest only because the rest of us have done the research and learnt how humane pinch collars are. Educate Don't Prohibitate. ;) YES!!! Exactly, we need to bring caning back too, used properly extreme pain is a most efficient teaching tool.

There is plenty of help on these forums! In the first reply the OP was advised of three different British Bulldog breeders they could approach. They have also now learnt that liver is not a desirable colour and not allowed in the show ring, and they have been given reasons as to WHY this is. On DOL we promote responsible and registered breeders ALWAYS with NO EXCEPTIONS so no one here is going to pipe up and say "Ohh so and so breeds for livers, only $5k a pup!" Just because someone may not get the exact answer they were hoping for does NOT mean they have not been helped. My apologies, I thought ellan was being lectured, but she was being helped. maybe she could have gotten a defective dog with the wrong coloured nose from a breeder without papers or are they put to sleep.

Perhaps just buy any of the leads suggested as if you can't remember where you bought your favoourite lead from, with your attention span a similar lead will do, as after a few weeks you wont know which is which.
