Totally agree...I mean there must be a description on the dog that attacks but of course we do not mean to harm the breed of the dog..and it's a cross breed not a pure pitbull type...Glad that I chose the right spot for this discussion..I mean not everyone understand that not all of us are pro-BSL.. :D -

thanks for your concern. Luckily he did not break his bone. Still waiting for the call from the vet from the surgery. I admit I am not 100% sure it is a Staffy & ntg is sure until the dog is DNA tested. I have study and memorized almost all the dog breed encyclopaedia ever since I starts to learn to read. I am not a breeder but just another dog lover. From the outlook of the dog he does looks like a Staffy mix or a pitbull type in him. One thing I would like to clarify here: The real reason I post & open a discussion here is because I know everyone here is dog lovers & understanding from the perspective of a dog owners and I totally disagree with BSL myself. I am sorry if I might have offended anyone who owns Pitbull type of dogs but I am not bias to the breed. I would blame it on the owner. I did not post it on facebook or any other social network is because I do not want the public to have this idea that Pitbull breed is an absolute ban and ppl shouldnt be keeping them as they are vicious. The owner acting so irresponsible and running away already reflects and tells us the main source of how his dogs end up attacking people's beloved pets & maybe children one day. All I wish is that people who keeps them know what and how to deal with them. They might be a tough breed to own but it is not an issue if the dog is nurtured and brought up in a healthy environment with proper socialization and training. I rang the local council up & they sound helpful and they will be coming over to my place to drop off some forms for us to fill in to lodge our official complaints. I had talked to the surveillance supervisor of the IGA regarding the footage and they promised to look up into it and keep it for me until the ranger come to collect the information. Went to the police but they direct us to the local council as there is not human that is involved in the attack. -

Hi everyone! good morning! I am going to bring Chucky to the vet now to perform the surgery. will get back to u guys soon and thnak your so much for all the comments and wishes. I am calling the ranger now and see what they have to say and also the police and I hope they will take action instead of just telling there is nothing they can do. I live in Maylands and the incident just happened right in front of the IGA entrance which s horrible to recall as many children and pets might be there! -
Hi Everyone, As the title stated: The Staffy was alone at the entrance of IGA and managed to loosen himself up within seconds (due to the fact that he was poorly tied up) he saw my dogs (a Pomeranian and another White Maltese Shih Tzu-both on leash) that were passing by. He ran towards my White dog and managed to grab him by his left arm, starts shaking it non-stop and would not release even the owner came rushing to break up the attacks. The attack finally ends when the owner himself had to hurt and step on the Staffy’s head on the ground. He was also bitten by his own dog. This owner did not apologize for what his dog did and did not offer to take up responsibility. He refused to provide any identification on him. At that time we just want to save our pet and did not argue/ insist him to go to the vet with us. One of the breeder recommend me to lodge a police report and the vet suggest me to report it to the local council. I live in WA and not really sure what it is that I need to do here. I am not asking for the owner to pay for my vet bills though the vet quoted me around $800 today but I am so dissappointed with dog owners that is so irresponsible. I knew he is going to run away with it when he refused to provide some identification. But at that time all I could think of is to save my dog and make him less suffering. Hence, why I did not insist or argue with him at that point. I am so worried if this guy get away he and his dog will cause more problem to the local people especially kids and pets. And do you all have any suggestion on how to protect yourself and our dogs when we take them out for a walk outside? Feel free to comment.

More pound fodder It's not the vet's job to suggest desexing, and if the owner wants to breed yet more mongrel pups, he's hardly likely to listen to the vet, is he? *Exits thread, shaking head* because i heard from another person who used to be one of the customer in the restaurant im working with..he said he was warned by the vet he brought to without knowing that his shih-tzu cross is pregnant..it happened when he was looking after a male shih tzu for his friend..and they got mated..and she was pregnant..and she did not know what to do with the puppies..hence she sells it off to Pet Paradise!!...never buy a pup from pet shops or puppy mills...eew...
-
Maybe she means chipmunk or perhaps chimp ;) i know it is not an official breed for pomchi..i found the designer breed name through pet shops and classified...and i just dont understand why people will encourage such breed when they are actually mongrel..and i saw some people are earning money from selling labradoodle for $850 its really bad...and for those who buy it are really not clever person i assume...

the mummy is doing fine now...they are feeding it with pregnant food they get from vet... yeah...it was sad because when i first heard that her partner's dog which is the owner, had a pregnant bitch...i was delighted...but then was abit disappointed when she told me the breed was chi x pom x bichon...i did ask him why he did not desexed her since she was not a purebred...he said if i desex then she can't be bred... i do not know how to regard his intention..because he did not know that her bitch was in heat...and now the puppies are delivered...he had no intention to sell it out to make money but to give away all the puppies to all his friends that he knows so he can see them oftenly... i guess i should remind him again to desex his bitch...but i wonder why the vet he is seeing did not suggest to him to desex her...the male is a purebred bichon...
-
my fren's bitch is actually a chipom...but abit fatter than usual chi...and the dad is a pure bichon...hence..5 babies...thanks for you guys' help..i'll ask her to try get her temperature or try feeding her with special foods~~~hope she'll eat..

Is Dog Fart Healthy?
bubumelon9513 replied to bubumelon9513's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
sorry ive gotten used to it...i'll write properly this time...maybe i used the term wrongly..because i used to just put his royal canin dry food in the auto-refill type of container so he can eat it whenever he wants to...so this time i took it away..and begin to feed him by myself once morning and night during our dinner time..just now he had boiled chicken breast+rice+abit of plain yogurt to give him abit of moisture in it so he wont gag himself...i watch him eat so he won't eat too fast..it turns out to be alright..after dinner he went out to relieve himself...and till now...while sleeping on my lap...so far so good...i have not smell any fart yet up till now!! -

thx guys for ur opinion...ive taken out his free-feeding food starting today i will hand feed him myself..i'll be trying on some rice+boiled chic breast for him and make sure he will eat it slowly...lolx...but normally he nv gauge himself though...cuz of his small teeth and mouth...he must chew the dry food b4 he can swallow it...and i don think he overfed himself cuz he's not overweight... last 2 nights Nemo was laying on the couch with his butt facing my brother...and he'd almost been suffocated to death as Nemo farts like twice every half an hour!!! gawd!!! -
hey ive been wondering why is it my 2 yr old pom farts frequently lately?the smell is gross like the smell of human when they have gassiness in their tummy and wanted to poo...sometimes i can hear my dog's tummy growling like the sound of human when we have butterfly in our tummy...is it normal??he feeds on himself as he'd grow up eating whenever he wants to eat...i put his royal canin food on the floor...i checked everyday to see if he eats and he does...he do not have diarrhea either... and he's behaving normal as usual...nothing unusual except he farts more lately...what shall i do to make him farts less?????

so this eye condition is considered as pre-existing problem?and petplan covered it up for you?did u get ur 100%rebate then?
-
wow...it sounds to me that pet plan is a good recommendation...lolx...but how long did it takes for you guys to get your claim back?cuz i've heard the biggest problems with petplan is their processing time is really slow...ranging from 7days to 5months!!!i do not know how long a claim should be processed usually though...like the time that is considered as a "normal" duration of claim process.. and what do they mean by "existing problem" in their insurance policy?my pomeranian named Nemo... :D is 2 years old currently but there were tartar build-up around his front teeth which may need to visit the vet soon...but im worried that the price of the vet might be extremely expensive...which lead me to considering insurance...is this condition refered as "existing problem"???

Hi i am new to the forum. I have pomaranian and is currently searching for an insurance company that will cover him. I have had a look at a few and one that has come up which i'm not 100 percent sure of is called PET PLAN. i have heard both positive and negative feedback about this company and is the only insurance company that i found online that covers non routine dental care. Has anyone else been through this company or is there any other companies you would recommend me try? If so can you please post up the link on the forum thanks in advance
