Gsd With Low Prey Drive
Hardbite replied to Pink Panther's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
Hey guys just wondering who imported Zasko v. Prielberg into Australia thanks. -
no she bred them and sold them to pets paradise..

That is a Gotcha Right their nothing else needs to be said.

The lady at PP in Dandenong told me that the breeder of the pups shepherdX Dutchie came in with 7 puppies but they could only take 3 pups in dandenong and then told her to go somewhere else and she did so to Fountain Gate PP. The pens are tiny and they are in Glass windows which sucks as soon as they jump around they bump into the walls which is damaging for their hips in my opinion at such a young age. The problem is that they will not take the puppies away from sale because they know people with money to spend will buy them. hence they make a profit from them.

I dont believe the female was over 18 months at minimum, when she had these puppies.
-
Im going to take a guess and say that she was not fit enough to take care of these dogs and had to sell them quickly, the most likely case is that family issues overpowered her and hence why she is/ did sell all of her dogs.

How come your selling your male shepherd now for $550 as well you must be sick of getting litters all the time from him?
-
Another litter? well in this case i hope she putts them in appropriate homes and not in a petshop again. If she does need help rehoming them i would reccommend people to help her with this that have knowledge and understading with working dogs.

So what your saying is that you did not determine that the pups had any drive by 7weeks and just sold them off to the pet shop? Just to let you guys know i went down to the dandenong and Fountain Gate Pets Paradise and had a look at the pups there were 3 in dandenong with 1 male sold, 1 male and female left who had drive and did play really hard compared to the male that was already sold. In Fountain Gate they also had 3 pups with only 1 left which was a male i believe being sold at $695. The lady in Dandenong was fairly clueless about the breed and only knew that they were used for herding sheep and have straighter backs than German Shepherds. She did not say anything about drive or nothing like that she was fairly keen in selling myself one at $500 odd dollars.

If you did not breed them Kristina who did??? also i dont understand why they were sold to a petshop and not donated or sold to working people from security services or the police force???

Are you serious not from working lines your full of it seriously, not only after you had those pups did you try and sell your male shepherd but also that dutch shepherd female you wanted to get rid of them straight away........ Gumtree says it all.
