Kirislin, both pics are good, the bottom pic would be the best, if only the black dog at the bottom was visible. -
Why Is It Funny For A Dog To Be Aggressive
Marion 01 replied to lovemesideways's topic in General Dog Discussion
Definately far from being funny.. I would be horrified if my dogs did that. -
So sad. At least she is a peace now and nothing can hurt her anymore. What a rotten start to life, but at least she had help towards the end and didn't die all by herself where no one cared. RIP sweet Gracie.

How's little Gracie doing today? Not fair is it. Lots of hugs and kisses for her, hoping she will be on the mend soon.

Country Pound Pups - 15 Of Them! 18 Now
Marion 01 replied to tdierikx's topic in Dog Rescue (General Rescue Discussion)
They are growing nicely... all in the 10kg weight range now and ready for adoption... Toby has the biggest boofy mastiff styled head and is turning out to be a stunning looking boy. The others all have a more GSD shaped head, but are also stunning looking pups. T. Thanks T. Always had a soft spot for Tango. -
Country Pound Pups - 15 Of Them! 18 Now

Where are Toby, Tori, Tiger and Tango? Can we have some pics to see how they are growing? -
They all sleep on my bed, but there are varying toys, nylabones, confettied paper, socks, but the worst one was a couple of weeks ago, one of them must have caught a mouse and decided to chew it but not eat it, and I came out ready for bed and had to peel it off the blanket and throw it out. Made my skin crawl.

The Doll Used In The Dog Temperament Test ?
Marion 01 replied to Christina's topic in General Dog Discussion
Was not impressed to see the doll used as a supposed child. Not fair at all to the dog. Mine would freak out at the doll too, and they are ok with kids. -
Lovely tribute to Blacky Rach. She had a truly blessed life with you. RIP Blacky

I'm Friends With The Judge (or I Am Paying Them)...
Marion 01 replied to Dobecrazy's topic in General Dog Discussion
My observations from years of showing. You go to shows and show your dog to the best of your ability, can't do any more than that. Some people are playing for sheep stations and have a win at all cost attitude, others go to show off their dogs and enjoy the day out and the company of like minded people. In the end you go home with the best dog, and the dog couldn't give a toss about whether he won or didn't. Over time you will see with your own eyes and will form your own opinion. On occasions you can go to shows read the catalogue, see who is judging and pretty much forcast the results. Breed Standards are open to wide range of interpretations. -
It's 10 Yrs Since We Had Pups In Our House
Marion 01 replied to Marion 01's topic in General Dog Discussion
I am enjoying having them Mudlark, they are so funny and naughty. Have had many toy parts over the years, even had a stuffingless teddy which all the dogs at the time thought was great. Yeh I think sleepins will be a thing of the past until they get a bit older. They are pretty laid back really, as they have not had much attention until we got them, but they do like me brushing and combing them which is a necessity for the breed. -
Well it's 10 years on saturday since our "babies" were born to an oops mating, four girls, all of whom we kept. So now after all those years we have two, four month old TT pups that have come into our lives, so the stack of toys that the others played with and who of late were just sitting on the floor in a group, are now being played with full time. I forgot about removing the eyes, but never fear that was the first job the two furkids started working on, so this morning Goofy who was starting to come unsewn around the neck had the full job done, eyes out and sewn up again, and head removed from body and sewn, now he is a head and a separate body. Pluto had his eyes partly removed by the kids, so I removed them and sewed up the hole. He is good to go again. Early last year K9angel sent me some squeaky toys, so the kids have grabbed them and I showed them how to sqeak them, well they never shut up. The oldies are getting used to having two boisterous littlies around, and so are we. Gone are the sleepins we were so enjoying, pups are up at the first sign of light and rearing to go. Maddie, the finer girl already sleeps on the bed as she has been able to get up on it for a while, whereas Mia who is a bit more solid still has to manage the jump. I forgot what it was like to have pups around. Life is never dull now.

I have unspeyed bitches here, there are 8 ( two of them are pups who will be desexed at 6 months, the others range in age from 10yrs, 12, & 13) at the moment, no sign of pyo but one had a mammory strip last year and now basically has no boobs at all. Pic below

My dearly departed Chinese Crested Powder Puff used to put his paw in the dish to stop it from moving, one of his daughters does the same thing now.

Making A Picture Smaller To Place On Dol?
Marion 01 replied to pesh's topic in Photos, Photos, Photos
Pesh, you can download free photo editing software from the net. . I have a brilliant photo editing program which comes with Xara Xtreme software, but Photoscape is a free download. I much prefer to edit my pics on my computer rather than on a website. I only ever use photobucket for when I do siggys to get the html link. The pics have already been resized on my computer at this stage. -
Introducing Tori, Teddy, Tango, Toby And Tiger
Marion 01 replied to k9angel's topic in Dog Rescue (General Rescue Discussion)
Totally agree mita. -
Doggy people understand that it is part of life to have dog hair in food, it's extra protein, non doggy people on the other hand it's a different story. I'll stick with my doggy friends.

Leaving Dogs Tethered Outside The Supermarket
Marion 01 replied to a topic in General Dog Discussion
. My dogs are kept in a secure fenced yard and always have been, I would never even in my wildest dreams think that leaving them tied up outside shops or anywhere is acceptable. It would be like leaving one of your kids sitting outside on a bus seat at a shop while you went and did some shopping, and hoping they would still be there when you came back. Even when we were showing our dogs, there was always someone with them. -

I still like my little Tango. Looks like he is trying to eat you in the last pic. They are looking good, and loving being out on the grass.
