  1. This has always been a concern of ours, and should the unthinkable happen, that both myself & OH are taken together, our aging dogs would join us at the bridge.
  2. What a gorgeous boy. Fun free at the bridge Cisco.
  3. Gorgeous pics, and gorgeous dogs. Love the variety of expressions on their faces. Must be real clowns to have around.
  4. My pleasure to do it for you. Rip beautiful doggies, run free at the bridge.
  5. One of our girls spent 4 days in hospital last year because of a paralysis tick. The ones here aren't very big and the smaller ones are nearly white and can be detected on the dog by feeling a slight lump, which the tick is usually dug in, in the middle of it. Even though we are not classed as a paralysis tick area, we have had a phenomenal amount of rain this year and last, and the ticks just seem to have appeared. We are constantly going over all of our dogs, and are still finding ticks even though it is cold here.
  6. Hi OSoSwift, I'll give it a go for you if you like, I've made quite a few Dolers siggies. Email me...... [email protected], and we can go from there.
  7. My pack less one, on their/my bed.
  8. Steve as well as jewellery I also do computer graphics and would be happy to either make a calendar with her favourite pics on it, or an A4 poster with pics and text of her choice, or whatever she would like. All these are done on A4 good quality double sided glossy photo paper and posters are laminated. Calendars are professionally wire bound. All you have to do is get in contact with me.
  9. Good on you Rach, you and the kids have given her the best time of her short life. RIP Cookie
  10. Good on you Rach, sounds like he is in a pretty bad way, at least he is warm now.
  11. I used to visit quite regularly, but it is too upsetting seeing all those beautiful dogs/cats etc. needing help through no fault of their own, and knowing I can't do anything to help them. I would take the lot if I could, but there would be just as many who come in to take their place. Rescues and fosters are the silent angels for these animals, and also pound staff who have to see these pleading and bewildered faces day in and day out.
  12. These pups were stolen from a Gracemere Pet Store/shed near Rockhampton. What on earth are 5.1/2 week old pups doing in a pet store anyway. Link: http://www.themornin...from-pet-store/ Edited to clear any confusion alluding to the words "pet barn"
  13. Fantastic little dog. I read that he is a Border Collie/BichonFrise/Chinese Crested X. Couldn't see BC, but I thought he may have even been a Tibetan Terrier cross. Beautiful to watch both of them, and congrats to Ashley & Pudsley on winning.
  14. That is fantastic news. Have been following this thread and hoping against hope that Clara would be found safe and sound.
  15. I have had both boys and girls over the years, and have 8 girls now. Each dog is a unique personality and though I think boys are cuddlier than girls, I have had girls who were very smoochy too. So would have an open mind on choice.
  16. Great photos kja. I would never go diving as I am scared of the sea, but it's so beautiful to see all the different species that are down there without having to go near the water. The signature is a necessity, but doesn't bother me when looking at the shots.
  17. That is exactly what I was going to say minimax. I tried Sumopaint the other day and it looks quite good. There are heaps of image editors. Infranview is another one.
  18. Poor sweet boy, those oh so sad eyes do tell a tale. His eyes almost looks like he has had his spirit broken. Hopefully with a lot of TLC and some good food, he might get his spark back. I have a friend who has GWPs and they are a happy smoochy dog. Good on you luvmypet for giving him a chance at a happier life.
  19. Hi Sheridan, dementia in dogs is not new to me, as I had 3 of my dogs with dementia, one needed one on one help for everything , I spent a lot of time looking after him, until he got too bad and we had to make the decision to give him his wings, as with the other two. Prue is just a bit dottery, and I can relate to that. Grumpy is mainly vague. He gets very confused if he thinks I've gone in one direction and can't find me. Didn't suggest that you didn't know about dementia but it's a good thread just to discuss stuff. I agree, as there is just so much to caring for oldies, that a lot of people don't realise.

  21. Thanks everyone, she is a little trouper. Unfortunately her brother died of leukaemia just before his 7th birthday, so it's great to see his sister doing so well. They are the two black & white TTs in my siggy. Prue is the smaller one.
  22. This week my nearly 16yr old Tibetan Terrier had her tail removed as she had a cancer on it, and the vet wasn't sure if he could remove all of it, so was decided the tail had to go. Had an overnight stay at the vets. She also had dental work and lost some teeth, had bloods done and has been given a clean bill of health. She came through the surgery remarkably well for an oldie, though our vet knows we only use the "safest" anaesthetic. It is funny seeing a bobtail TT, but she is happy. Even though she is blind, and a little bit of dementia, she has good hearing and good sense of smell, so hopefully she will be around for a while yet. The girls at the surgery presented her with a Certificate of Bravery when she left which we will frame. Don't you just love the oldies.
  23. I always talk normally to mine, just different tone for different occasions.
  24. Usually my lot have manners when taking food, but that goes out the window when there are schmackos being handed out. Fantastic pics.
