  1. Thanks for this thread guys, I need to re-order some. 5L doesn't las long with me.... as I go a bit crazy with it. I use it for everything and, funnily enough, it was a DOLer who recommended it to me a year or more back too in a thread just like this one!
  2. Drooling can indicate pain so you were right to watch him. I hope he is ok.
  3. It was the funniest thread I think that has ever been created on DOL.
  4. I have been visiting since 2004. :D Hey Greytmate, are you able to make it down this year??
  5. I joined DOL on a far flung recommendation from Dougie...Uncle Arfur.... KipMckool and whatever he was known as over time. So, who is coming to the Awards even without a free ticket?
  6. I have loads of pics of Troy....I am creating an album just for him. :D Be afraid Troy.... be very afraid..... :D
  7. I wash mine weekly and I wash their bedding weekly and sometimes more often if needed.
  8. You won't recognise it Eridor! They have made the sand white and the water is so clean and is a beautiful blue. I went over there the other week to have aloko at a few things and I was gobsmacked at how gorgeous it looks these days. It was like being on some tropical coast somehwere. Here's hoping for beautiful weather on Saturday/Sunday of the Awards! You can even now sit at a cafe on the beach sipping a latte or having a bite to eat. Can't get any better than that!
  9. Nah, that's too old. We made him wear a tin foil hat at the first Awards in Brissy a few years ago. Not sure about the bkini though.... the Novotel is opposite Brighton Beach so it might just be the way to go. Here's hoping for fab weather - bring your cossies guys, the beach is looking supreme these days. Somehow they have eeven made the sand completely white and it looks awesome!
  10. I agree. 2 days max. I think you'd have to experiment with the freezing of it. Obviously it would need to be removed from the tin too as you have already considered.
  11. It can in some dogs. My Malinois started to get lipid deposit on her eyeball right on top of her lens. She had to go on a low fat diet and it dissapeared, so now we keep her fat intake relative to the work she does. Fat and cholesterol are 2 different things. Cholesterol is essential in the digestion of fat you consume. I would assume the deposits on your dog's eye was nothing to do with cholesterol.
  12. Wow, amazing sotry. I hadn't noticed this thread before. It will be great to watch him grow and see what he turns out like.
  13. Oh is there rules now? Nah, just a more fun way to play. Way to go charleswentworth! Psst, why won't the winky work??
  14. I am so sorry to hear the news. How awful for you both.
  15. Cholesterol does not leave fatty deposits in dogs to my knowledge. One of my Pugs was part of a university study where they tested several things and looked at diet (the test was directly related to epilepsy and diet) and he had high cholesterol. The specialist told me at the time that cholesterol doesn't have the same detrimental affect in dogs as with humans. The canine digestive system is very different to ours. Exactly how and where all the differences are though I am not sure. This is why barf and raw feeding is frought with problems as people tend to base their dog's diet on that of a healthy human diet.
  16. Maybe you should have gone up in $5 increments....
  17. Wow, poor little pup. I would nominate you for the Best Neighbour of the Year Award Rottylover. The fact that you were concerned for the pup's wellbeing and that of the owners is commendable. If it were me, I would offer to pay something. How much would depend on how much money you have. Regardless of the amount you contribute, be it $50 or $1000, I think you are a lovely thoughtful person.
