  1. I got an email from odour go explaining that they had a problem with the email server thingo, and that is why they had problems with communication. Oh ,,, I don't know what to think now..I've always had excellent service from them and I guess either way, I still find this the best product I've ever used because it lasts so long and I can use it for so many things. To be honest, I have only ever recieved great service from them myslef. However, it is the principle of this whole fiasco and on principle, I now will not purchase from them. The fact that I now am also very aware of the mark-up applied to the product further entrenches my decision. I have had good results before with another product (the name of which escapes my memory at the moment) and I will most likely return to buying it.
  2. I believe that they will not sell to you either WP and the 'rest of us'. It isn't 'me' being singled out. The 'us' is very vague but I believe it means 'retail customers' and that they will only be selling to their distributors from now on in. But then, I could be wrong given that Seabouy coudln't even bother to call me to explain their stance on the issue, after stating that they would.
  3. An update - Seabouy - you should be ashamed of yourselves for your unprofessional behaviour. For those who aren't aware of what has happened, there has been a some manouvering and jostling in the background about the product discussed here, Penetrator Plus, between Seabouy and Odourgo. To say I am angry about it would be an understatement. Seabouy are now refusing to sell the product even though they had set a precedence by selling the product, as a retailer, to several people participating in this thread. They were undercutting Odourgo's price considerably. I have always purchased the product via Odourgo, and upon hearing I could save a few dollars, I phoned Seabouy. The price I was quoted was very satisfactory and so I wanted to place an order only to be told I now couldn't because Odourgo had phoned Seabouy and it seems they have come to an arrangement where Seabouy will cease selling the product to 'us'. Seabouy were going to have someone call me back, but they renigged on this and had Graham from Odorugo call me. Fabulous professionalism Seabouy - NOT! Now, I am a fair and reasonable person, most of the time, but why should I be forced to pay almost $20 more the same product? WHAT HAPPENED TO FAIR TRADE AND COMPETITION? This whole scheme appears to me to be contrary to fair trade. I can understand that Odourgo are concerned with losing customers, but the way it is, both Ordourgo and Seabouy have now lost trade as I will not be buying this product from either and from the comments I recieved elsewhere, many others feel the same. Seabouy need to determine if they are open for retail trade or only wholesale, and Odorugo need to realise that customer service goes a long way to keeping customers happy. I personally will now see if they have contravened any trade practices legislation because the whole situation is appalling and has left me feeling very disallusioned.
  4. Another fabulous public relations thread endearing the public to purebred dogs.
  5. It sounds very much like what my Pug, Monte, does. I don't believe he is being aggressive when he does it though? Should I be perhaps?? To me, it is a bit like an over enthusiastic kiss but he has his mouth open. He usually will only cnnect with one lot of teeth too, usually top I think, and never both top and bottom at the same time so I don't think he is actually 'biting' at me. When we first took him in 6 years ago, he caught me several times on the face in such a way. However, now I am used to it and I know when to move away. He ocassionaly will still get my nose though but this is rare these days ans it isn't really often that he does it now. Is this the same as what everyone is describing here?
  6. I don't feel we need more legislation or laws, but we do need to address the issue. I think it is better addressed through education campaigns and possibly the creation of wide scale subsidised desexing programs.
  7. She sure sounds like she has loads of Pug in her. Whilst there is no physiological reason for a Pug to be naturally fat, they are bred for a square and squat body and they do have very good apetites, and this is why so many Pugs are fat. Their need to eat is amazing really. Last year, my lot climbed up on a shelf to get at, of all things, chewable worming tablets! Between three of them they soffed about 8 tablets! Now that is how desperate they are to eat. Only last week, my little girl managed to get into a bag of kibble. I came home to one normally slim Pug who looked like she was about the whelp. Anyway, the diet sounds fine. I would simply decrease the portions you are feeding and increase the vege to meat ratio.
  8. Feed less overall and feed more veges. There are numerous kibbles around that are lower in fat than normal also, depending on your budget. Have you ever done any allergy testing to determine her allergies? It could be related to the food you are feeding, in which case, her diet would need to be reviewed for more than just weight issues. Every dog is different and there is o one diet that will suit them all. The diet that your friend's dog is on obviously suits him, but it may not suit your little one.
  9. The Freemans sound like hair brained morons without 2 brain cells between them. Good grief.
  10. Yes, happy to sell them to you if juice does not want to buy them. Asking price is $35 plus postage or you can pick up from western burbs of Sydney. They retail for over $100. They've never been worn outside and were only worn once as a test inside. They still have the tags attached and come with a little pouch to carry them in and the original box.
  11. I've used it without any problems on my Pugs. I also mix it with my floor cleaner. Eucalyptus is a natural deterrant to fleas also.
  12. I can't see any reason for anyone to flame you. I don't rush my dogs off to the Vet at every burp and fart either. I think you are doing the sensible thing and I am sure you will know if he needs Vet treatment.
  13. I am not sure they'll fit juice. They are xs - which suits a paw width 5.7cm Happy for you to come around and have look or take them back to your place to trial if you like.
  14. There is an insert you can buy called a Pig in Mud. It is what Gilypoo is describing. See here; http://www.piginmud.com.au/joomla/index.ph...4&Itemid=40 There are now other brands of this as well. I am sure I have seen another brand in Pet Barn.
  15. Yes, I've read somewhere before that too many raw eggs can be an issue. I think you'll find jacquilee81 that Abigail is correct. Edited to add: Googling gives various reasons why though, and some do not make sense.
  16. Maybe you should gently hint that "regards" doesn't have a 'u' in it.
  17. Wow, what a sterling job you've done K9. He looks absolutely stunning!
  18. He certainly is a lovely looking dog. How did the postie go with the potential new home?
  19. Depending on *why* they vomitted, I feed mine as normal. Most often it is because they have eaten too quickly or ran around to quickly after eating. In fact, most often, I allow them to eat it again, as awful as that sounds. Saves on cleaning though
  20. Depending on size, I have a pair I could sell you. They are high quality and only used once. They're blue in colour and are the Ruffwear Grip Trex brand mentioned by smooch. Still in the box.
  21. Giardia is not a worm. It is an infection and is treated with antibiotics, not wormers.
  22. Mucus means an upset bowel. The bowel produces mucus anyway, and when there is an upset, it produces more than normal. I would switch to a bland diet for a few days and see if it settles. No need to panic or worry uneccessarily though.
  23. For clarification purposes - It appears the the DAILY Dimmitrol does not contain ivermectin, but the MONTHLY chewable tablets do. Dogs with an ivermectin sensitivity should only be given the daily tablets. Edited to add - I think IR was actually trying to convey that, but it didn't come out clear. People who have previously given Dimmitrol Daily tablets may think the 'new' monthly chews are safe, but it appears they are not.
  24. Just recently, I started a thread about my Pug with epilepsy and the comments I often hear about putting dogs with this condition to sleep, so I know exactly how they feel. It all boils down to quality of life and his owners would know what the quality of living is of this dog. I know my dog has a good life, and I am sure the dog in question does also. Still, it hurts to hear people say you should end the life of your dog.
  25. Is that a direct cut and paste or did you re-type the response? If it is a direct cut and paste, maybe the Vet should use spell check.....
