  1. Looks like a good trip, lovely pics I must go down there soon and explore
  2. Gorgeous photos of some very happy dogs Ralph looks like he's tolerating Sid a bit more now
  3. As another option how about a Tamron lens? I have this one; http://www.tamron.com/en/photolens/di_telephoto/a005.html It can't match up to the quality of a Canon L lens, but for a cheaper alternative I've found this lens to be excellent until I graduate to L glass Also you get a whole extra 100mm at the long end The VC on it (Tamron's version of IS) is superb and I've found it to be nice and quick on the focusing front. I've used it for action shots and it has performed very well - see my Flickr set for the lens below (includes agility, surfing and flying birds, as well as more static subjects). http://www.flickr.com/photos/56265770@N02/...57625580712949/ I got mine from B&H in New York, $416 AUD at the moment http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/7283...f_4_5_6_Di.html A lens sample thread for this lens can be found here Good luck shopping
  4. Woo Hoo Candice, that's awesome Big congrats too to Cider So glad to hear Scoota is eating, onwards and upwards You must be very proud of your boy J
  5. Sandi - Hope Scoota a picks up his appetite soon and you find something he likes Good Luck and enjoy yourself Glad she's been found Have fun although I have to say camping would be my worst nightmare, especially with a farty arsed dog
  6. So sorry to hear about Scoota Sandi, loads of healing vibes heading his way from me and my gang :D Congratulations Showdog, and all the other WA winners Finally got the pics sorted from the agility Not 100% happy with them, certainly need more practice, especially with focus and positioning, but it was my first attempt at photographing agility - that's my excuse anyway and I'm sticking to it http://s189.photobucket.com/albums/z49/scr...mview=slideshow
  7. What a sweetie Is she a Birman? Wow, she's filling out quick Oh poor boy Hope you get something to work with from the blood result Well we managed to fail beginners obedience the other night Poor Louis was fed up and cold after waiting around for a while and refused to drop completely on the damp grass It's a shame as I really wanted to try him at beginners agility next term and not sure I can do that without a pass in the obedience Of course as soon as we got home he dropped perfectly in the comfort of his warm dry home
  8. So sorry about Miss Kitty RnH, poor little cat Well done on your pass with Hemi though I wont be able to come to your trials on saturday Mason, but hopefully another time
  9. That's what you think :D Just kidding :D And no worries about the photos, it will just give me something to look forward to :D ;) A quick scan through my pics shows more practice is required, especially with focusing on fast moving dogs Some should be salvageable though
  10. Super photos TN Love the one in your full set of Bel with her tongue sticking out the side - too cute :p
  11. Well done - she's looking great! :D Now that looks like fun :p You did so well with them both :D Sorry I couldn't stick around to see your later rounds. I did enjoy it, what's not to love about getting doggie cuddles, watching agility and snapping away :D I haven't edited the pics yet, hopefully I will over the next couple of days and then I'll send you a link to them And sorry for calling you Ruby :D Damn internet names.....at least you didn't call me Crazy Same here, Louis is hopefully 'graduating' from his beginners class tonight Good Luck with Hemi We always grew up saying Norman no mates lol!! lol, we always say 'Billy No Mates' in the UK
  12. Awwww, what cats do best What a beauty, glad they have found a safe haven :p Go for it Frodo! Lovely portraits Helen, really nice light Great pic but ugh! Nawwww, gorgeous ;) Awwww look at those eyes They don't take long to adapt to home comforts do they Pretty Joey, he has a mean look on his face though I've barely picked my camera up this week, but here's a shot from last Sunday when we went exploring. Week 15 - Lancelin Silver Sunset by HairlessHounds, on Flickr
  13. Congratulations RS Well done Ruby and Millie What time is your final tomorrow, and whereabouts will I find you all at K9 in the morning? Hope you feel better in the morning too Very sad about the police horse, poor thing Ok I think but haven't heard anything yet - I tend to lack confidence in my abilities in interviews Awww, look at that little belly Looking forwards to watching her progress :p
  14. Only if they've got four legs thanks Cool see y'all Sunday eta - Can anyone recommend a dolphin watching trip from Mandurah? We may go exploring again on saturday, but the ones I've see listed seem to included looking at the fancy houses round the canals, which I'm really not interested in
  15. Cheers RS What time does it all start? I won't attempt baking, but I'm sure I can purchase something yummy to bring along ;) Sounds a better bet for you RS, seeing as I've not photographed agility before Purely coming along to practice But also to watch, as I might start Louis in beginners agility next term seeing as he 'graduates' beginners obedience next week WooHoo ST - where are the fat bitch pics then? ;)
  16. Where is it being held? OH is probably working sunday, so if it's on sunday as well I love to come and watch and take some pics :D Congratulations
  17. Sorry Holly's mum, I don't know anywhere, hopefully someone else can help you more Cheers, a bit nervous about the test, but I'll give it a shot. Why do I look on gumtree, poor thing is only about 6mts old too http://perth.gumtree.com.au/c-Pets-dogs-pu...QAdIdZ274649470
  18. Something I'm guessing the owner of this Toy Poodle hasn't thought about - ad seen online today "Poodle Toy Female Required. for mating by my handsome Tan & black Toy Poodle. He has had all his shots. Just eager to mate now.I do not want a pup from first litter.Just pay $100 for your Toy to be mated. My Toy Male Poodle Does Not have Papers,Just need Females to Serve. Ph For Apointment" :)
  19. Masons birthday pics below http://www.dolforums.com.au/index.php?showtopic=218627 No pee today, so hopefully it is a one off thing from Louis I've got an interview on thursday, IT related, but it includes a written test I haven't done a written test since uni, and that was years ago ;)
  20. I meet up with Masons' Mum and a few of her friends for a great doggie birthday bbq on Saturday ;) Here's a few pics from the day. The little one is Albie, supposedly a Chi x Maltese, but I'm sure the other half is Italian Greyhound after seeing him race around all day Birthday Boy Albie
  21. Fabulous captures Kirislin Great to see them in flight About 20 odd years ago (before I knew any better) I would go coursing with the people I worked for as a groom. It was amazing to see Deerhounds and Greys doing what they were breed to do, the twists and turns were incredible! LOL - my OH discovered that standing still is the best option after being sent flying in the snow by our grey
  22. Brilliant, scary Easter bunny ;) but also very gorgeous
  23. Aww poor Toby Hope he feels better soon. We definitely want to travel south for a short break some time soon....need to source a reliable house sitter first to look after the pooches and cat Good Luck guys, have a great time over there Louis decided to pee against the curtains this morning ;) I hadn't kicked him out for a pee granted, but the bloody back door was wide open all morning. It's the first time he's ever done this - perhaps he thought he would melt if he touched the damp grass Curtains are in the wash....luckily we got a spare set from Ikea so we can put new ones up when we leave the rental, as Indy has a habit of occasionally peeing against them too - grrrrrr
