  1. Mason - Hope all goes ok today for you You in am then up to me in pm ;) Share and share a like And I have Mas all to myself anyway - but just putting the options out there since I will be making the ponies run around anyway ;) LOL, would love to come to both, but I have a 'shoot' with a couple of dogs from reactive rover in the morning, so not sure my OH would be too chuffed with me going of in the afternoon as well Although I am sorely tempted by the thought of seeing your arabs mirawee......... Don't worry, that's reserved for you emery ;) That's funny but I too kept wincing every time a fork went near an eye! I would love a miniature cow, imagine one the size of a miniature horse - the poo would be just a stinky as a full sized one though
  2. Thanks for the dates, will be good to get to some
  3. Thanks Mirawee, I'll have a look at those sites Something with a bit of action, so cross country, show jumping type stuff - what is team penning? it sounds like something to do with stock herding. Are there any rodeos round Perth? Having worked with show horses in the past I'm also a sucker for 'beauty parades' Hope all goes well for Diva too
  4. Evolving - Love those web pics anniek - What a beautiful girl - gorgeous photo of her lic_82 - Looks like she's about to pounce! Beautiful kitty redangel - Those are so funny, she looks so soulful but she's carrying a florescent pink sock kittikat - Poor Pepper Hope he's all healed soon. Super photo of him MTD - Lovely pic of the place, makes it looks like a nice quiet country pub
  5. Ahhhhh, what a little sweetie Have lots of fun with her
  6. Beautiful filly, good luck with her first show Yay well done Mason Great news Hope all is going well for you today with him Oh crap RV that's not good :D Sorry you've lost stuf, how annoying Did they break a window? My car had all my camera gear in it parked there the session before! On another note how good were Louis and Toby! Louis sniffed Toby's bum That may not sound like much but Louis' normal form of interaction is a couple of snaps towards another dog when they get within reach - butt sniffing is a big improvement Oooooo exciting :p Indy had her ultrasound today and was an absolute star She just laid on her back and didn't move at all while they shaved her and did the ultrasound, no sedation required - she's not a normal cat Anyway no abnormalities were found, and she didn't think the blood results were high enough to go as far as a biopsy just yet, so it's going to be a case of monitoring her and re-testing blood in a few weeks..... Horsey people - where is the best place to find out what horse shows/events are on around Perth, as I'd love to go along with my camera to some. And talking of that, my OH has gone away with work for a few day which means I have the car....so does anyone have any dogs/cats/horses/rabbits/birds/ferrets/cows/sheep etc that they want photographs of over the next couple of days, as I'm always on the hunt for critters to practice on ;)
  7. I think I took about 400 and kept about 40
  8. We went exploring again today, after a lovely trip to see a friend in Collie last week We headed up to Mundaring with the dogs, hoping to walk around there, but quickly discovered that dogs are not really welcome after speaking to a lady in the visitors centre She was very helpful though and pointed us to areas we could walk with them. We ended up in Chidlow and had a very pleasant walk along the Heritage Track there - it was deserted so Daisy was able to go off-lead for most of it and the temperature was just perfect
  9. Awwww what a cosy looking girl, how gorgeous Greys love their clothes don't they Frida's 'Shania Twain' pjs Nope, not spoilt at all
  10. They look pretty good to me I was expecting blurred balls of fluff from your description I've only been to one agility trial to practice so far, but found it tricky to get 'nice' looking shots as there is so much clutter and stuff going on in the background at these events. Next time I'll think about my positioning a lot more and practice, practice, practice This was my first attempt.... http://s189.photobucket.com/albums/z49/scr...20April%202011/
  11. Sorry to hear about your boy too emery Hope all goes well with him. Yeah don't forget I nearly killed Daisy through chocolate stupidity Certainly don't beat yourself up, you've got him to the vets and you're now getting it sorted :D Indy is on ABs, she has an upper respiratory infection now, but is doing fine in herself........I think she's just protesting at the colder weather Talking of feeling the colder weather........ The dogs are rugged up now http://www.dolforums.com.au/index.php?showtopic=219524
  12. Now the temperature has finally dropped in Perth, the pooches are missing the heat - didn't take them long to adapt from the Scottish climate Louis has taken to hiding under a duvet now during the day :D And Daisy was a bit chilly after her clip today But she was patient enough to pose for me for a few shots This is what she really thought of the shoot though
  13. First quick tip - Have your focus set to AI Servo and with a shutter speed of at least 1000/sec.......will post more tomorrow - it's late and my brain is too tired to formulate proper sentences
  14. Simple and Pretty are the two words that always come to mind when I see your photos - Beautiful
  15. I was talking about a newer lens, the Tamron SP 70-300mm F/4-5.6 Di VC USD, released sept last year. Due to the new USD I have found the AF to be very quick when focusing on fast moving objects, even to the point where it tracked and focused on a dragonfly darting around my pool
  16. Thanks guys, will let you know how the ultrasound goes. She's also developed a snotty nose and eye, so off to the vets tonight as well
  17. They are lovely Pers, great egret Enjoy your new toy and I look forwards to loads more shots from you :D
  18. Great pic :D Who got to wear the bunny suit?
  19. I feel I have to stick up for the poor old Tamron here For a bit over $400 I think it is a great lens, especially as you get Tamrons equivalent of IS and USM on the lens. Of course it's not an L lens, but if someone is on a tighter budget then it's a viable option. I also have a Tamron macro and the IQ on it is just lovely. I think I've taken some ok photos with my Tamron lenses :D Another 3rd party option is of course Sigma, but I can't make any personal recommendations as I've not used one before :D
  20. Poor Scoota I hope you make some progress with him now ;) We're going through a diagnostic phase with Indy our siamese at the moment (Allergic asthma and raised liver enzymes) and she has an ultrasound on monday as the next step. I have to say our vets have been so thorough and caring Awww look at Bondi all snuggled in her bed and :D at her face in the second pic, not the most flattering Does she not realise she should be sitting down with her feet up and a nice cup of tea :D
  21. Too adorable Awww belated Happy Birthday Handsome Banjo Emery - Hope things settle down for you all with your hubbys new job - what a nightmare! Wow looks at the size of Ari now Can't wait for puppy pics :D Hopefully I'll be seeing you at the agility, if Louis can be brave enough If it's too much for him I guess I'll have to retake beginners obedience and work on the damp grass drop How's Scoota doing Ptolomy? Hope he's eating ok still
  22. Super photos everyone Catch up from me :D I took some pics at an agility comp last week - loved this little Corgi jumping its little heart out Week 16 I was photographing some surfers yesterday and this lovely dog was on the beach too Week 17
