  1. You lot are soft Imagine being made to go out in this everyday for a few weeks Then you can moan at me And we had to go on walks and everything, my tootsie would get cold! but luckily we all had nice warm coats :D We Like Australia better :D Louis and Daisy.
  2. My little ones, whilst twice the size of your chi x, would happily run through the forests with a load of spaniels for 2 hrs :D eta, anyway he's so tiny that if he gets tired you can just pick him up an pop him in your pocket
  3. Call Perth Emergency Vets on 08 9204 0400 and they can advise, but I suspect if it's just milk chocolate and a small amount that he'll be fine. When my dog had choc poisoning a few months back she was manically hyperactive - like she'd had 100 espressos ! Hope he's ok
  4. Totally! My two are pretty screwed up, both rescues, one kept caged for the first few years of his life and the other never walked or socialised I was just talking to my OH this evening about even though I love them to death, sometimes I dread taking them out for walks as they just don't cope with other dogs within sight! One is doing well in a 'reactive rover' class and progressing, but I think it's just a case of learning how to manage their behaviour and not 'fixing' it. Even if a dog play bows, they just don't 'get' play and seem to really struggle with doggy language My 'normal' dog was my cocker I had from a pup and he just had the best temperament with people and dogs and was so well socialised by both his breeder and myself.......it's a shame as it makes me question getting a rescue again, or if I do make sure it is one with no fear or dog aggression.
  5. Yup I heard the same about Big Dog so was using that anyway, but ran out and had to get some Dr B's recently.....it had a strong garlic smell and pretty sloppy consistency. My two are guts so pigged it anyway, but I've stuck to Big Dog since. Occasionally I get them the mutton mince from Better Pets and Gardens, is this ok quality? It's very chunky and seems fine I know its not complete like the patties, but I also give them lamb rib bones with it.
  6. I got my 7D from DWI, very quick service :D But personally I would contact CR Kennedy as they say on their website they will match the likes of DWI prices, I think they let a local retailer know what price you have been promised and you can pick it up locally - so you get a 2yr genuine Sigma warranty instead of a 1yr 3rd party warranty pm Bec as she got a lens this way through them recently and I'm sure she'll tell you exactly how it works ;) The decision making is a nightmare, in 6 months I've got a new body and now 4 new lenses - I'm surprised I have any hair left
  7. Well done OSo and Lewis :D Ok, I'm in I have to be back home by 1pm to take OH to the airport, so 10am suits me fine. Forecast looks ok at the moment. Give me a ring in the morning to confirm, say 8:30 to 9 as I need to leave at 9:30 Will be good for the dogs to see somewhere new Yay - Go Team WA Congratulations guys
  8. Just going out for a walk......give you a call later, or are you off out tonight?
  9. Is it an actual walk, or do you tend to let them off lead and have a play there? What sort of time were you thinking?
  10. If its somewhere quiet with not many other dogs around, and an actual walk, then yes :D I love going round herdsman lake at the moment, but they have to stay on lead, are you looking for an off lead walk?
  11. lol, what one recommendation thru to purchase in a week isn't enough for you RnB - just wanted to clarify that if you buy overseas you can always post back if any problems, but I had to post a Tamrom back to B&H a few months back. They were great to deal with and no trouble getting an exchange after an AF failure, but the postage was $80! For the lens I just bought the saving advantage of buying from there would have been wiped out if I need to ship it back to NY
  12. Noooooo mine never get ice cream  (not'serious' strength chocolate stuff anyway)
  13. Happy Birthday Mirawee, hope you're having a great day One heck of a storm passing over!
  14. No you can buy from any aussie retailer and the warranty will be fine, they just won't honour a sigma warranty from an international company. But contact CR Kennedy and they will price match from what I understand
  15. That would be my worst nightmare, give me dogs, cats and bugs any day over real live human beings
  16. I think you might just be sick next sunday, cough cough ;) I've just ordered a new lens, so hopefully it will arrive in time for puppy pics :D Do you know which girl it is yet?
  17. I just happen to be free this sunday and looking for something fun to do if you need a hand....and I could get those raffle tickets of you at the same time ;) :D but totally understand if you want to keep the numbers down Go for it Mason and hope your tests go through quickly! Happy Birthday Soggy Thanks for the info RS, I think 2hrs is a bit too far, but let me know when your next doing a retriving trial closer to home
  18. Gorgeous Gap, didn't take long at all If you're interested in Lightroom keep an eye out for offers here http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/720705-REG/Adobe_65081059_Photoshop_Lightroom_3_Software.html I got it here a couple of weeks back for $169aus, but even at its current price it's a lot cheaper than on the Aussie Adobe site ;)
  19. I look forwards to seeing your pics with it RnB :D I went with Digital Camera Warehouse in the end due to this statement from CR Kennedy.....take note of the bold bit, I believe Bec got a good price match through this SIGMA AUSTRALIAN WARRANTY ON GREY IMPORTS C.R. Kennedy & Co P/L will only undertake warranty repairs on products sourced through us. All products imported directly from overseas and resold are not covered by our warranty. This includes purchases through ebay and through grey importers such as www.camerasdirect.com.au, www.d-d-photographics.com.au and www.globalmediapro.com. Mark Harrison from www.camerasdirect.com.au has been directly advised by Sigma Japan that C.R. Kennedy, the only authorised Sigma agent in Australia, will not cover warranty on Sigma products bought through www.camerasdirect.com.au We will match, through our authorised Sigma dealer network, any legitimate advertised internet price on Sigma lenses by these grey importers." These prices do not include traditional pre-sales and after sales service normally given by your local retail store. We suggest that you research the product thoroughly before making any purchase. http://www.crkennedy.com.au/v1/index.cfm?pageID=315
  20. Nawwwww thanks Annie :D I miss my greyhound cuddles sooooo much Ordered from DCW last night as they offer the Aussie warrenty - due to CR Kennedy not covering warrenties on lenses bought overseas. DCW want proof of my address before shipping, so will have to wait till I get home and find a bill - impatient me will have to wait a further day for the lens
  21. Where is the retrieving trial, and are you going? I'd love to go see a load of gun dogs working
  22. Nawwww way too cute :D He's grown so much! Anyway good luck with your decision RnB, I've been trying to choose as well and finally bought the Sigma 17-70mm tonight.......now I just have to be patient and wait for it to arrive I was nearly swayed by the canon 15-85mm at the last moment, but stuck with the Sigma in the end
  23. Awwwww Snook that's gorgeous If your subject are greys then yes get posting immediately
  24. Sounds like you've got a fun weekend ahead of you Ptolomy - enjoy Are there any exciting doggie events happening here on Sunday does anyone know? OH is off travelling, so I'd like to get out with my camera
