LFF, no she's all crestie and has the personality to match  She is what's known as a 'hairy hairless', cresties come in different degrees of hairlessness. Yellowgirl posted a chart once showing the different coats, I'll have to see if I can track it down.

Thanks guys, she cottoned on pretty quickly that sitting in the chair = liver treats  She's hopefully getting a proper crestie clip on Thursday so will post pics of the new Poppy then :) I love the chair but don't have anywhere good to stage it at the moment, too dark indoors and too much green or white outside, but it was a bit of fun anyway.

omg, how did he ever fit in your arms! What a stunner

She is gorgeous Terri, certainly maturing into a very lovely dog :)

Yeah, it was a fun couple of hours. Here is the info about the park. "The City has also unveiled it's first dedicated dog exercise area at Inglewood Oval (corner of Central Avenue / Stancliffe Street, Mount Lawley). The facility has a fenced-off area which includes natural elements such as a mix of sand and turf, agility logs, dog drinking bowl, gazebo and bench seating." Thanks Yonjuro, may have to check it out :)

Would love to have seen the iggy swarm  I've seen a few of them at the lure coursing events, they are just gorgeous! Where exactly is this park? Ronin looks like he was having fun :D

As Poppy recently joined our household I thought I'd do a thread to keep track of her photos, however I can't leave the others out so I'll pop them all in here. These are not all going to be my finest photos as phone pics will also be in here, just capturing moments of them when I can really :) I'll start with some I took today, even Daisy snuck in and she doesn't like the camera usually

This might be of help, I asked the same thing recently :) http://www.dolforums.com.au/topic/257137-house-sitter-costs/

Congratulations gapvic, that's brilliant teekay, that's a gorgeous shot, beautiful :) I've kinda been distracted by a puppy over the past few weeks, so not sure where I am. Will have a catch up over the weekend but they will mostly be phone pics of Poppy I think!

Another one for your list is Kathy Kopellis McLeod, I attended her reactive rover classes with Louis and found her to be an excellent behaviourist :) http://kathysdogtraining.com.au/index.php -

He is gorgeous, such a happy smiley face :D -
Conservative worst case amount I would say, Louis has cost us approx. $20k over the past year on his IMHA treatment Back in the UK we had 4 dogs and 3 cats, all insured and rarely claimed. When we moved over here with just the two little ones and Indy we decided against insurance as it was a lot more expensive here and with much higher excess charges etc. Indy developed triaditis and allergic asthma, Daisy ate chocolate and had a very expensive 24hrs in emergency on Aussie day, and Louis got IMHA, glaucoma and pancreatitis The new one, Poppy, is insured  I went with Petplan as they seemed the most comprehensive, Bow Wow Meow looked pretty good too but they only cover 80% of vet bills.

Vitamins For General Health And Wellbeing.
CrazyCresties replied to White Shepherd mom's topic in General Dog Discussion
I used the Vets All Natural Health Booster for Louis when he was poorly with IMHA - I just wanted something extra to help his system while it was bombarded with drugs. I don't know if it made any difference but figured it wouldn't hurt. http://vetsallnatural.com.au/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=124 -
Ah that's good to know, thanks B&J, I'll ask them about that next time I'm in there :)

She is just gorgeous

See Stan there is hope for you after all, keeping using those brain cells

We gets ours from a variety of places - but generally 'sheepskin shops' that you see around the place in shopping malls. Not easy to keep clean I wouldn't think for 'normal' dogs, but as mine don't shed and are apparently allergic to rain and mud they stay pretty clean :) We hoover the one the cat has to clean up her hair. It might be worth your time actually reading up on the benefits of crate training. Personally I use them at night as my older two dogs prefer their own personal space while sleeping, they get grumpy if another dog gets too close. I have no idea if Poppy had any crate experience before we got her, but she was put in a comfy crate from the first night we got her and barely had a squeak out of her. Within a week I just had to open the door at bedtime and she would take herself into the crate to sleep quietly all night long. They can be an invaluable tool if used the correct way, and like Mystiqview said often needed for complete rest for injured dogs. Louis had to have 'crate rest' for a couple of weeks due to a suspected cruciate injury, and as he was acclimatised to the crate already it was not a stressful experience for him - he just relaxed and slept without doing any further damage to himself.

Ok thanks for that - if Pookinuk let me down I'll try them next time. PetStock have no stores near me, but I'll check out the prices at Better Pets and Gardens - thanks Oso :) I got my first 5kg bag from Pet Barn but it was $75, compared to $50 online at Pookinuk. I need a puppy version of the complete mix now as well for Poppy so saved $45 online!
-
Great, thanks guys - that sounds mostly pretty good. $5 shipping is a lot more appealing than $30 :)
-
Just looking to order some VAN complete mix and Pookinuk seem to have some good prices and reasonable shipping. A quick DOL search shows that the service from them wasn't that great a couple of years ago - does anyone use them now and has the service improved? If not, any recommendations for other sites that don't charge a fortune for shipping to WA? Cheers :)

Keeping Fluffy Dogs (ears, Chest Etc) Clean At Meal Times

It was invaluable for Louis in Scotland!
