Another vote for Miele here, the mini turbo brush is brilliant on upholstery LOL, although my bomb-proof Siamese lets us hoover her quite happily

I currently have roasting in the oven a hand made (and hand mixed ) concoction of roo mince, eggs, grated cheese, and for extra added smelliness a couple of tins of tuna meat cat food - yum yum - anyone fancy a slice when it's baked I'm hoping this will bake into a real yummy 'cake' for Louis for training treats If he turns his nose up at it then at least Miss Dustbin Daisy will eat it

Hi Sam and welcome to DOL It sounds like you've done a great job already with Audrey I'd suggest you try posting this in the Training or General section - more people may see it there and give you some help. I'll leave any suggestions to the behavioural experts out there

Cooking Barf Patties?
CrazyCresties replied to CrazyCresties's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Ah thank-you persephone So it's not the physical danger of cooked ground bone ripping their guts up, it's just that it's as good as useless to them in that form? -
awww gorgeous, love the second one - dog tired
-
Completely OT but I just saw my first Bob-Tail He was a ferocious looking bugger, and hissed at me as I cycled along the coastal track - just missed him luckily as I'd hate to have run him over :D I'm going on a snake catching course being run at the local surf club in a few weeks. I just want to know what to do if one comes in the garden - apart from run
-
I got one recently from Better Pets and Gardens, it was a lunge line but they had it in the dogs lead section I think it's 10 meters.

What's Considered A Heathly Poop?
CrazyCresties replied to Shmurps's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
I've seen a page on the web somewhere about different colours and consistencies of poop - I think it was American, but for the life of me I can't find it now. It was very interesting eta: I think I've found it http://www.doggyspace.com/journal/35441 -
awwww, bliss

Just what I was going to say - what a happy photo, lovely
-
Oh that's a shame, they seemed so right for her. Any dog will be unsettled and need time to get used to it's new home - shame Glad she is back and happy with you though Jo, she's a sweetie, and I love and know that 'grumpy' face too from Louis

Yeah that's they other way to go - I guess it wont hurt too much if he doesn't get the perfect balance of meat/organs/bones for a week or two. Yup they are Dr Billinghurst ones. I didn't want to mess with his diet too much which is why I was hoping I could just cook the patties to make it easier to spread his meals through the day. Where do you get 4legs from Amy? Unfortunately the ecopet site does list any stockist for WA -
Good luck, and it's no use me saying don't worry, as having done the reverse trip (UK to Oz) recently, you will worry All I can say is the animals did just fine, all people we dealt with were very professional and our 2 dogs and 1 cat coped well. I used a UK company so can't recommend any this end I'm afraid. They used custom made wooden crates for each of them, which are better for temperature and less noisy on the planes they said. The dogs couldn't share, but they were all put next to each other on the plane. Do they have any quarantine to do at the other end?
