Puppy Or Kitten, What Should You Get First?
CrazyCresties replied to kmaci's topic in General Dog Discussion
My Siamese certainly does - when she is being naughty and we say a firm 'no', she will swear at us - she replies with a special meow that she reserves just for those occasions I had 3 adult cats when I introduced my dogs....they tolerated the dogs after a while, but were certainly never friends. The cats were the 'top dogs' I was always lead to believe that it's better to introduce a young cat to dogs, than an older cat to dogs, they grown up being accustomed to them that way. I agree with Saxonpup - it's important the cat/s have somewhere to escape to, a high climbing tower or similar where they can retreat to out of the dogs way -
He looks so happy and confident already I'm saying nuffink Well Louis joined in a beginners class last night at K9 and did so well, I'm really pleased with him ;) He didn't bark, scream or try to kill any dogs around him at all All other dogs were under control though, so he didn't have anyone rushing up into his face to freak him out. It only took 40mins to get there as well, so we'll be going along each monday now Mirawee, hope the foal is doing ok :D

nawww, Pea is so sweet, look at the puppy belly He doesn't look like he's been troubled by his travels at all ;)
-
Sorry to hear :p Hope things get moving for her soon :p
-
Ha, I shall gloat away in the summer then and we have aircon Yup, luckily they gave us a loan car - we got them to write that in the contract when we placed the order ;) as we obviously didn't have a car here already, it would have cost a fortune in rental charges ;) Apparently it has now arrived at Fremantle and we should hopefully get it in the next couple of weeks :p
-
Yeah so do I, we were due to get ours 13th Sept :p :p
-
Ok, ok - enough taking the piss out of the pom thanks :p :p
-

Daisy gets bathed when she's clipped at the groomers, every 6 weeks. Louis get done when he smells like a sweaty little boy :p In the shower with me is easiest Can't say he enjoys it :p
-
I'm already thankful for the pool ;) I'm ok actually, but Daisy tends to get quite hot, so it's more for her than me, but as 36 is predicted this week surely this is getting close to summer temps
-
Blimey, only out after dark I guess
-
;) As I'm not working at the moment it was a shock to the system, even though I have been getting up at 6ish to get the dogs out before the heat
-
Not yet, but may be praying for some snow this week if it hits the predicted 36oC They are in the actual water, and living there happily....or were until the salt joined them ;)

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-bristol-11654631 Cotswold flasher bitten by victim's dog A man who indecently exposed himself to a woman ended up being bitten by her dog. The victim, aged in her 60s, was walking her pet in Moreton-in-Marsh, Gloucestershire, when she was approached by the flasher. A police spokesman said the man exposed himself and the terrier growled. It then bit him on the upper right arm. Sgt Ian Dowling, of North Cotswolds police, said the dog seemed "to have acted instinctively". 'Bluey-brown eyes' The incident happened near Dunstall Flats at about 1930 BST on Thursday. The offender is described as slim, about 5ft 2ins tall and with "large, bluey-brown" eyes. The victim said he was wearing navy blue tracksuit bottoms, a light blue top and a black hat. Sgt Dowling said: "This was clearly an upsetting incident for the woman and her dog. "The animal seems to have acted instinctively and was not urged to attack the offender. "Naturally because of the nature of the incident, we are keen to hear about anyone seen with a dog bite on his right arm in the last 24 hours."

Wild Salmon Oil
CrazyCresties replied to germanshepherdlove's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Ah ok, I think you're thinking about 'Salmon Poisoning Disease' http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Salmon_poisoning_disease http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nanophyetus_s...thology_in_Dogs I have to say I have no idea whether this would be an issue in wild salmon oil or not :D -
So sorry to hear about Shimi Tiggy and RSG :D Way to go Louis has loads of pink stuff, real men carry off pink so well :D Happy Birthday Tiggy :D I hope Pea brings you all the joy in the world

Funny you should say that, I got mine some from the vets the other day and they are odd with them They'll ignore them for most of the day, but then suddenly start pouncing on them and flinging them round like a cat with a mouse.....this lasts for about 1min and then they'll go back to ignoring them
