No snakes (well none to really worry about, but a friends dog did get bitten by an adder, the UKs only venomous snake), but also no real sun, and you have to deal with this

It was a beautiful house, we were so lucky to live there for a few years - it was a wrench to sell it :D View out the back It's weird having another house a few feet away now

Is Your Dog Well Trained Or Just Well Behaved?
CrazyCresties replied to dee lee's topic in General Dog Discussion
Neither  But we're working on it -
Oh poor Mason Can the vet not bandage it up to give it a chance to heal? Crap, hope Rommi is ok OSoSwift awwww Reminds me of what I would see most mornings when leaving for work back in Scotland. OH would often work at home, and as I walked down the driveway my cocker would come out to wave me off - he'd just wait at the top of the drive and watch me go - it almost broke my heart everytime :D None of the other 3 dogs would be arsed to come outside and say goodbye And woo hoo - Louis didn't vomit either on the way too, or on the way back from K9 last night

Does anyone have any experience of using diatomaceous earth for flea control in yards? After my recent frontline thread I have done a bit more digging around and have realised that since our garden is mostly sand, it's a great breeding place for fleas! I'm not too keen on spraying the whole place with chemicals, so wondered if anyone has actually used DE to help get fleas under control outside? I'm thinking of putting it in areas where I know our cat is sleeping, behind the garage etc.

The thing is we've just moved to this house a month ago, no carpets here, all wood and tiles, and we treated our furniture before it was put on the container in the uk. I have a sneaky feeling it's coming from Indy the cat who is finding comfy sleeping places outside...... I used this in the uk to treat furnishings, what would be a similar product here? http://www.vetuk.co.uk/flea-treatments-hou...500ml-can-p-677 I use a separate product for worming, so don't want to use an all-in-one type spot on, or an internal product for treating fleas

I always used Frontline back in the UK and never had a flea problem, and that was with 4 dogs and 3 outdoor cats BUT the temperatures were a lot cooler Thanks dobesrock, I'll look into that shampoo

Ugh fleas! Saw one on Daisy Oct 29th, so got some Frontline Plus the next day and applied. 2 days later she was at the groomers and washed and clipped short as she was booked in. It's now been 10 days since the frontline was applied and I've just picked 3 fleas of her! Vets say don't re-apply sooner than 2 weeks, what do you guys think? Do I just wait out the next few days, or would you re-apply given virtually all her coat was removed at the clip? Or what else can I use in the meantime? Cheers  ps The other animals were all treated at the same time.

Found one I'd forgotten about, a friends dog out on a walk back in the UK

oops :D

Cheers Quick, let's all hide :D How many weeks left for this term? ;) I think last week was the 4th week of the 10 week beginners course, so by my reckoning another 6 weeks? Once you've joined, and if there are no events on, can you go down there and use the area to exercise/practise with your dogs?

 Is some of it being sold off ?

Hope I'm thinking of the right area too, do you mean here?

Ok I'll leave Louis in the car and pop down before his class starts, as his class runs from 8pm for 45 mins

Will do, what time are you usually down there? and more importantly will Strauss be there :D :D

Sad I know but I had actually thought of that :D

:D That's great to hear emery Hope Masons trip to the vets goes ok today awww, look at Bears wrinkles :D He sure looks at home Woo Hoo we finally get our new car today - only 2 months overdue My first trip in it will be to K9 tonight, which means the first day we have our brand spanking new car, Louis will vomit in it :D Unfortunately he gets car sick, so I just have to put loads of towels down and not feed him before travelling :D

I lurve Bull Terriers as someone on my street had a lovely one as a kid :p :p Yeah I know, I guess I just got a lot more of it today that usual I just wish they'd ask instead of blatantly pointing and laughing.

Grrr rant time! I know Louis looks unusual, but is it necessary for all the boys at each surf club we walk past to laugh and point and say 'look at that ugly dog' I know they're just kids, and Louis obviously doesn't know what they are saying, but I feel bad for him. Mind you I hear plenty of adults snigger as he walks past too. Also the amount of adults you hear say 'oh look at that shaved dog'. I'm gonna have to get a T-shirt that says on the back 'no he's not shaved, it's all natural' Luckily some people are interested and stop to ask about him, so then I get a chance to explain just what he is If you have an uncommon dog, that looks a bit unusual, what sort of comments do you find you get?
