Ah thanks for the update, lovely to hear he is doing so well at the hidey photo
-
Congratulations Mirawee and Banjo Sorry to hear about Rommi What a pain. Happy Birthday Ruby Hope you get lots of pressies Day 4 of the MIL visit - I think sticking knitting needles in my ears would be less painful Only another 3 weeks to go :D Happy New Year to everyone - hope you all have a great 2011

Too cute Twiggy :D The little dog I found lost on Stirling Highway hasn't been claimed yet The vets phoned round everywhere but no-one has listed him missing yet. He's gone to another vets that is open over the new year, then off to Shenton Park maybe if he still isn't claimed. Poor little guy

Love this one Kittikat Last one from me too, failed big time to get them all Still -
Ok count me in I just bailed out of the other one as I think I'll struggle with Louis to get enough different pics, plus I love photographing Indy and other stuff efs!
-
I'm afraid I'm going to bail out to the 'non-pure' 52 weeks Have fun guys, I look in to see the photos
-
She is beautiful - have fun with her Hope she settles soon

Man, that's an unfair advantage I'm worrying about Louis already...he doesn't play (deprived early years in a crate before being rescued, didn't learn how :D ) Doesn't socialise well with other dogs, and just likes mooching around at home really......I foresee lots of bribery with treats for him each week and pictures of him on different bits of furniture
-
My 7D should arrive next week, so can't tell you how it is just yet - but I'm hoping it will be ace For lenses its worth looking on here as they have a lot of sample threads with images from different lenses :D http://photography-on-the.net/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=107 Good luck with choosing, took me ages to decide
-
Hah - that's what we read about greyhounds too.....quiet, gentle, rarely bark - our Frida was the nosiest, most boisterous one of the pack Beautiful photos, gorgeous with the yellow flowers and long grass. They look so fit and healthy too
-
Remind me - how old will Mason be in 3 months time?
-
Well the little guy is now at Claremont Veterinary Clinic, unfortunately he is not chipped, but they will look after him and let me know what happens. His nails were also very overgrown, which along with his weight, makes them think he probably belongs to an old person. I'll put an thread in the lost and found here, and put it on gumtree - any suggestions where else I can advertise a found dog? Hope he has a home soon as he was very friendly and sweet Ok, sounds like a plan......I haven't been on a train here yet - about time I did I guess
-
Just got back from picking MIL up from the airport and picked up a dog on the way We spotted a little chihuahua type dog roaming across the Stirling highway by North Freo train station at about 2.30am Very friendly little boy, looks oldish and very over weight. His neck looks like he usually wears a collar, but not one on him when found. I guess it's off to the pound with him in the morning :D He's sleeping on a cosy bed in a crate on the veranda at the moment, separated from my two. Hope someone is looking for him and he's not been dumped due to his age Actually what's the procedure? Should I take him to a vet first to scan him, or do I have to take him straight to the pound Off to bed now as it's 3.40am......
-
Sounds good :D I won't have the car for myself until MIL goes back though Sorry to hear about the loss of Juana fetchingdawgs Hope Jimmy is ok in his new paddock.
-
lol, I know - geckos everywhere before I got my macro....haven't seen a single one since I got it Enjoy the lens, I look forward to seeing lots more
-
OK thanks Kirislin, I have 2 x SanDisk Extreme III 1GB cards and 1 x SanDisk Extreme 60MB/s UDMA 8GB card. From a quick google I think these should be fine
-
Ok thanks for that rubiton, I'll have a look for the magic lantern guide. I haven't used auto for a while now on my 350D, but I am expecting there to be a fair few new settings to get used to on the 7D
-
Congratulations Now we need pictures
-
Thanks Frodo's Mum :D I'm loving the macro lens in particular at the moment, but it's also a 'normal' lens so it doubles up. Well I took the plunge and just ordered it from DWI, no extra warranty - just the body only Wasn't gonna hang around once OH said 'get it' in case she changed her mind I'm guessing I won't get it until after the new years though with holiday closures - will have to be patient
-
I love to have a go at this with Louis this year I have a Flickr account but haven't really used it yet. I've just created a set, so hopefully this will work :p http://www.flickr.com/photos/56265770@N02/...57625562731127/ I look forwards to seeing everyone's photos through the year
-
Thanks guys How do you find the battery life on the 7D? Lolapalooza - Luckily I already have a few cf cards from my 350D I wonder if the battery is the same on the 350D and the 7D, that would be useful for a spare battery.......off to google :p
-
They are very bizarre looking little fish, and those sharks are amazing :p
-
Looks like they were having a blast Tiggy The other dogs face is priceless as it's being chased by little Bear :p Ptolomy - hope your fencing etc is all sorted out ok :D My 'MIL' is arriving tonight from the UK and staying for nearly 4 weeks So I'll be looking for excuses to go out and do other stuff Hope you all have a good day
-
I had planned on getting a 7D when some shares I have hopefully make some profit ( :D ) but my OH said to me tonight 'why wait' and that I might as well get it while I'm still not working and enjoy it (I'm going to have to get back to work soon, but won't start looking until the MIL has gone back to the UK after her visit at the end of Jan :D ) So that leads onto the inevitable questions.....where to buy? DWI is the cheapest and I've heard good things about their service, but has anyone had any experience with the Mack Warranty? Is it worth taking out? On another note, do those of you that have the 7D have any gripes about it, or are you happy with the camera? Cheers
