  1. i was going to suggest the same http://www.dogzonline.com.au/breeds/breeders/boxer.asp if she doesnt like any of those pups...get her to look at all the breeders, she may find the dog she likes and then make enquires for the next upcoming litter..if they are really interested they can wait for the perfect dog
  2. Oh my god lol maybe they were hinting that there wasnt enough room in "their" bedroom and the futon had to go! I would just shut the door and forget about it until your hubby comes home BTW by your photo...it looks the the one on the left instigated it and the on laying down has that ...they made me do it face...very cute
  3. thats horrible, i have the same thing with my vets, we had a sick cat he ended up passing away 2 years ago on my birthday the vet knew about the fact that he had died and still send out vaccination reminders etc...such a painful reminder to get in the mail
  4. HAHA dont tempt me!! i would love a lil pup...but i have to think of the kids, well the dog really.. I want them to enjoy each others company You could try cavvie rescue. There are some groups out there that may have a mature age cav needing a new home Ummm i found a dog...and it turns out my son is allergic
  5. Yes they knew i was upset did she say how he was?? i was going to email her today...but i thought she may think im weird lol
  6. Thanks all, it is good that the breeder can place him with another active family if they can. I do miss the cheeky lil fella! And you're right Atleast my son will be in better health without Ollie being around
  7. You're unlikely to get hands on with a Mini Poodle or get a breeder's full attention at a show - show coats need careful handling. Better to visit poodles in their breeders homes! Well ofcourse, but she can see all the different type of dog breeds she is interested in there and if she speaks to breeders before she goes (like i did) atleast she will know who they are etc etc. i
  8. Hi there, I was in the same boat as you looking for dogs a while ago before i decided on a CKCS, I have a now 4 yo a 2 yr old and a 1yr old, they were really good with the dog. Its worth going to a show an checking out all the different breeds, as i have said in other threads, also allows you the chance to meet breeders and see how they treat their dogs..also some breeders dont sell pups to families with small children..but its worth a look if your really that unsure on what breed to go for
  9. Hey Showdog, thats very unusual about your sharpei reaction!! its different in every case isnt it
  10. omg...We did the right thing, and it was only after a week of the dog "being inside" that we noticed the change...he has never reacted to pets before this, and he spent a good while with the dog before we decided to go on trial...its a bit of a surprise, i knew that dust triggered his asthma but had no idea that a dog would. And Cavs being inside dogs even with brushing obviously there was hair lying around..i do love Cavs, and perhaps as the breeder told me, he could grow out of his allergies. I certainly hope so ;) I also feel sorry for Ollie, he really loved my kids, so atleast now he can be re-homed into another family with small kids ...thats all i wish for him
  11. Hi guys!! I know you wanted to hear whats been going on with "ollie" aka as Christian the dog, Everything was going great..he had settled in really well into our family life, and was my lil doggy shadow My son suffers from asthma , and had been having a few fairly major episodes in the past couple of weeks..the doctor said it may be enviromental and we had pretty much put it down to the dog flaring up his allergies. Ollie was quarantened away from Christian (my son) for a day to see if his breathing got better, which it did..after a few allergy tests with the docs on saturday. it confirmed that he has allergies to pet hair..and appariently Cav's shed quite alot!! Which Ollie did. So after all the heartache trying to find the dog for our family and then actually finding Ollie, unfortunatley looks like we wont ever get to own a dog Its a bit upsetting, and Ollie cried when i had to return him as did my son when i drove off with Ollie
  12. hehehe lil lazo lol....I think Ollie is excited for walks as he is new to our area i went for a long walk and he kept looking at me on the way back "begging" for me to stop and pick him up!
  13. Hi there!! If your not too sure on what breed to go for, I would suggest going to a show and meeting some of the breeders..its a good start to see their temperaments AND you get to see grooming etc...also good place find a good breeder Good luck though..we just got a CKCS and he wont sleep unless he has had his nightly walk...they really do need the stimulation.
