  1. My current girl is my heart dog. My soul. We're so bonded she knows when I'm in a dangerous place (severe depression issues) and will break all the house rules in order to be touching me. If she doesn't know where I am she will look in every room until she finds me, she needs to know where I am at all times. She came to me in an incredibly tough period of my life, a time where it looked like suicide was my only option. She wasn't the dog I'd intended on getting, I found her by pure accident and we instantly connected. And we've been inseparable for 2 years now. The mere thought of losing her breaks my heart. She’s saved my life. She gives me hope and something to live for.
  2. My girl has an issue with our cat igloo. Luckily the cats don't use it because it's always been dragged aroound the house, shaken, thrown around, sat on, chewed and tug of wared with our other dog! She also doesn't like Care Bears, they're the only plushies she kills.
  3. My girl loves having her tail tip dyed. She sits still the entire time the 'dye' (food colour usually) is setting and shows off to everyone once it's done!
  4. This unit has a young Darwin boy in it, these men are his close friends. RIP to the brave men and dog.
  5. That blue eyes ALWAYS mean the dog is blind in the blue side ( or totally if they're both blue). Or that blue eyes means the dog is smarter. ETA Also that Dalmatians CAN'T EVER eat meat because it will make them sick and might kill them.
  6. I thought mixing a toy with a mini was still creating a crossbred?
  7. OMG, Jed has given me so much advice and never made me feel stupid about it. Hang in there babe, and RIP beautiful dogs. xox
  8. We don't have paralysis ticks...
  9. There's an ad in today's NT News classies that's selling some mix of SWF, (they state that they're designer dogs) for over $1200.
  10. I want a blue grey... or a black one... or any one, just don't have the space for another dog
  11. I don't believe Pet Barn sells puppies or kittens, I know the ones here don't.
  12. We're having trouble with our 2 mixed bred dogs and our spa. Our heeler X is obsessed with the gaps around the edges from where the pavers don't fit right, because he remembers finding lizards under there. That had caught on with my BC X who's not actually sure why it's exciting, but is determined to 'win' the race to sniff the spots. It's got to the point where the BC X will race from across the yard if she thinks you're going near the gate of the pool yard, and today it ended it tears. High excitement = dog fight. I try to keep my energy low and calm when opening the gate, and will wait for them (her mainly) to calm down before I open it. But she'll calm down until the gate moves. They're both getting an hour + walk a day. I've tried peppering the gaps but it doesn't worry her because she's not really sniffing, just copying what our other dog does. Keeping them inside while the pool is being used results in barking. Once I'm actually in the pool they're fine, it's just the gate thing. Any suggestions? Thanks.
  13. I spoke to the creator of the Scoff Stopper at the Darwin pet expo last year, and he said he'd had trouble with bloat in his dogs which is why he tried to find a solution. *shrugs* We've got a speed eater, just chuck his food across the lawn now.
  14. Sounds like toad to me. They can still be quick enough to catch them while you're watching, especially small toads.
