Well I've managed a number of successful trips to the park, he is even jumping in the car again, today I went to go to the doggy park with him but it wa too busy so I drove to a local oval we frequent to play fetch, all up it was 10-15 minutes of driving, he was a little drooly (wet under the chin) when we stopped but he was still in good spirits and happily jumped in for the drive home

My bags were bought early May

Hi Golden Girl My dogs checked as well, health all clear. To tell you the trueth some people might not even notice the difference in my dogs especially if they were in a kennel situation, besides the upping of food. But because our dogs are with us most of the time, back yard poo patrol and back yard full of holes and divets from them eating dirt, I noticed and then my Puppy people ring, talking adult dogs not babies. Too much coincidence. Like I said I'l see how they go on the next couple of bags, hopefully I got a bad batch. Most people, that spend a lot of time with their dogs, gut feelings usually serves them well. I hope no one is talking this personally, it's feed back, maybe a bad batch and all good now. Cheers Lee Yes I have to say it took me a while to realise...not that they weren't 100% but that it was ongoing, and yes this is certainly feedback and not an attack, it is a great food I 100% believe there has been no formula change, but I am simply wondering if there could be some sort of contaminant in the manufacturing Genuine question Sherel, is there any sort of lab testing involved in the manufacture of the food or the machines it is manufactured on? I just find it very coincidental that a number of dogs have all had similar problems, and it could just be that, a coincidence...but it could also be something else

Hi Sherel I get one of my girls (the one that has been affected the worst) tested for giardia as well as any other nasties every 3 months as a requirement for the delta society, she just got the all clear a few weeks ago

I haven't heard back from my supplier, I might send my email to sheryl
-
EI how much porridge do you give him?
-
I had also put the increased amount of food down to winter
-
It seems that rotts4ever called her.... Well, called someone anyway
-
I just emailed my supplier to let her know what is happening with my dogs and to see if anyone else has raised concerns too

Wow, if its not only my dogs then maybe there is an issue with a batch of the food...I've put Lexi on a different food to see if it clears up her belly trouble Mine aren't eating dirt, but I have noticed that Lexi is eating a lot more grass than is normal for her

Poor Nova! it really isn't fun for anyone is it...I just hope we can cure Jackson of it, he is still a young fella and we tend to go travelling a lot, as it is poor Jacko gets left with a friend because it isn't worth the stress of bringing him
-
This is what we're still trying to establish, but I think it's the same as mumof4girls, started as motion sickness and that contributed to anxiety This is where we are with Nova as well - she did suffer car sickness as a baby, and to this day still gets very drooly in the car and hates travelling in it - we're still battling this at 11 months of age, and have tried most things. She no longer vomits (touch wood), but she still stresses herself to the point of nausea about it. She's the only dog we've had with a car sickness problem - yet she is the most outgoing and confident dog in every other way. My sympathies to all of you struggling with car sickness, it's such a pain to deal with and makes something that should be fun really unpleasant This sounds like Jackson, he is so confident in every other way...until the car is brought into the equation I have actually taken him for a few short drives to the park to play fetch, and he is at the point of jumping in the car, so thats great, I'm waiting for my calming cap to come before I try a longer drive with him again

I don't have the bags anymore, but I imagine it was fairly new stock, it was the new packaging What is weirder is I just remembered Jackson eats the puppy but Lexi eats the adult... They haven't had any diet change for a long time
-
I'm beginning to wonder if I have a bad batch of BH, my dogs have been on it for a while now and all of a sudden (since starting a new pack really) Lexi has had really vile farts and burps, and Jackson has vile farts too... No change in Tess that I can see but she has an iron gut

Skeeter is a Samoyed :) Em is a Japanese Spitz though :) Lol, I was looking on my phone earlier and wondering why he looked like such a large pup haha...pays to read all the posts instead of just looking at the cutsie puppy photos lmao
-
Omg so cute!!!! Your dogs make me want a jap spitz!

The ginger tablets I tried were the Blackmores travel calm ones, didn't work for Jackson
-
8 weeks, but if you pulled them up on it they would probably either say the age was wrong, or they're not 'ready to go' for another week
-
Rescue remedy, no but I'll give it a go, I do have some but I've found the effect to be short term (when I've used it on myself) I'll look into the vitamin B, I'll try anything if it works lol
-
I'd rather not drug him if possible...I'm going to try the calming cap when it arrives and if that doesn't work its another trip to the vet to see if we can try that car sickness medication
-
We have only done a couple of quick trips to the park at off peak time and no spew, so thats good Good point Ellz on the snood, I have just ordered him a calming cap from clean run so hopefully that will have a positive effect (if he leaves it on) Rascal I have tried him in the front.....now there is a nice stain on the front seat of my fiance's ute lol
-
I have tried (human) maxalon on the advice of the vet chiro, that didn't work
