I would definitely seek the help of a behaviourist about it, Im guessing poor Mia is very lost without her pack leader and isnt sure what to do when she meets other dogs now, she could be used to Rileys 'ok' to talk to other dogs, but now Riley isnt there to give the ok so she doesnt know what to do around other dogs

Why doesnt Brisbane have a permanent meet? all the other cities seem to lol

I didnt bother keeping Lexi quiet for the 10 days, she knew when she was sore but within a couple of days she was back to her old self, I just checked the wound daily to make sure there was no damage but all was good

I have no idea how she walks, haven't tried yet because I wasn't sure on lead. I have a fairly thin Rogz one from when Oscar was a puppy that I will try her on tomorrow. Thanks for the tip on Coles. The only issue could be if she finds the clip too heavy for comfort, try your existing one and see what she thinks of it, if you see any sort of resistance Id be getting a coles one, if she doesnt care just use the one you already have!!!

Does she walk well on a lead? if she does she should be right with a regular lead, otherwise go to coles and get a puppy lead, they cost like $5 and are very lightweight

Ill definitely discourage her next time, Ive never encouraged her at all, but I havnt even thought to stop it I had already taught her to spin, so Im not sure if that sparked the sudden interest in her tail...

Lexi has only just discovered she has a tail and has started chasing it, I havnt tried to stop the behaviour because to be honest its quiet funny to watch lol, but Im now wondering if she could do herself some harm by doing it So, should I stop her from chasing her tail? its not a daily occurrence but I have seen her do it 3 times in the last few weeks

My girl gets kibble for breakfast (Royal Canin Golden Retriever, she was on Lab Jr but I decided to put her on the adult formula early), and pet mince (minced chicken frames) for dinner, once a week she gets sardines for dinner and on occasion Ill give her a whole chicken frame...depending on how much room I have in the freezer

Oh good, yes I try and take Lexi out to different places a lot, I think Ill take her to the train station and see what she thinks of the lift, not much fazes this pup...well...except the electric windows of my car for some reason they make her shit herself lol

Lexi is on the right track then, when you say they observe how they are with the other dogs is that looking for aggression? I think this is the main area I need to work Lexi on she loves to say hello to everyone, I can get her to work around other dogs no worries, but they are a big distraction lol

RIP Cooper A while back I was driving home and was just by my house and saw a couple walking their Boxer offlead, I was so worried about him nipping in front of me as they didnt even get him off the road, just walked with him on it. Anyway pulled into my driveway and got changed, leashed up Lexi and took her for a walk, I come across this couple again, they saw me with Lexi and decided to put the Boxers lead on, I greeted them as they walked past and then proceeded to take the lead off again, I called out to them and said "You know its illegal to walk him without a lead dont you?" he just yelled back saying "Mind your own f****** business"
