From what I understand the lighter coloured dogs do better in the show ring, so that is what people breed for Personally I like the darker Goldies (gold not mahogany)

Darker colours aren't as popular here, but the very dark ones (mahogany coloured) aren't accepted under the breed standard

I was in the Post Office the other day and an Aus Post employee told a customer he had 1 month to collect his parcel. Oh! I always thought they only gave you a week or so. That's great news, thank you! Its a month, the one week thing is a scare tactic

..and of course he will :) It feels odd..and , no doubt it smells ..and , so , it needs cleaning . They take some months to grow back completely ... So should I let him go for it?

How long does it take for the new nail to grow through? We just took off Jackson's bandage and he kept trying to lick it through his cone, we ended up putting another bandage on just to protect it

That's because people get abused when they share negative experiences :) and those negative experiences are very common. It's certainly no super premium food or even a "premium" food The same could be said about ANY brand of food. I fed my Retriever Advance and she dropped massive amounts of weight and broke out in hot spots, so I put her back on Royal Canin. She did well on RC but I had to feed her twice the 'recommended' amount and it was starting to hurt the hip pocket, change her (and the others) to BH and they're all doing well and eating a more 'normal' amount. There is nothing wrong with BH, if it didn't work for your dogs than thats fine, but there is no reason for people to start coming in here and slandering the brand for no reason

To my knowledge no they aren't banned Australia wide, and yes they are illegal to import, but they can be imported by people with some sort of permit (i.e Steve) I'd say she is just a pro PR person who doesn't understand how a prong actually works

Hi Sherel, thanks for that :) As I said, they've only just started on the chicken one so I will see if they do as well on it as the lamb. Really liked the lamb so hoping this one agrees with them as much! I'll have to feed them more then being lower in fat (which I didn't realise ) as they were losing a bit of weight on the lamb. No biggie, I'll just keep an eye on them. I don't need to feed more, in fact they're on less now but it will go up again once they're back in shape

I actually find the chicken and rice is better for them, they're all easily maintaining weight but on the lamb and rice they were up and down

Well happy to report I had a great experience with my house sitters, the dogs were well looked after for the two weeks and the house was immaculate when we returned, if anyone wants their details let me know, they travel all over in their caravan but prefer warm climates

I noticed the change in kibble shape with the chicken and rice, I didn't think anything of it though, chicken is a lighter meat so the kibble won't be as dark.... My dogs are doing really well on it so no complaints from me

Where abouts are you, if outer east or heading out through Beaconsfield, I may be able to help out. I'm afraid I'm in merbein near Mildura 6 hours away from melbourne. I may have to look for another food now. I thought you took them off BH? There is national suppliers, my mum lives in central NSW, a long way from any distributors and she manages to get it just fine, have a look on the BH website and look for the websites listed as national distributors

Oh dear... We're getting house sitters in for the first time for the next two weeks! I certainly hope there is no issues... They gave us a reference and that girl seemed more than happy with the couple

Rude much??? $3000 is a lot of money, my OH wouldn't allow me to spend that sort of money without a bloody good reason, and neither would I for that matter
