  1. What sort of joins does the frame have? the one I have for Tess is horrible, it collapses directly down, and the joins are like a ball and socket you have to line up, then a sheath slides over top to hold them together, very fiddly and Ive caught my fingers too many times to count
  2. Ive already got a soft crate for each of my dogs, but they are both a pain in their own ways to set up, Ive been eyeing off the K9 Pro ones for a while now, but Im wondering what people think of them? Are they easy to set up? How heavy are they? (I know the website says they are lightweight, but Im a 50kg girl so lightweight to some may not be lightweight to me) How durable is the mesh? meaning if my dog (JRT) claws at the doors, how strong is it?
  3. Ok so Toowong? just keeping track of this so I can put the location in the subheading lol
  4. I had shingles years ago then neuralgia. Went through so many things, even medication can cause skin problems. It wasnt till my daughter used it on her baby I decided to try it, that was 4 years ago . I dont use anything, else no shampoo no soap nothing only QV products and Curash products .QV bath oil was the first I used because it was recommended for the baby bath then I graduated to QV gentle wash ,then QV Flare up when I need to and I use all on my dogs The only trouble I find is its hard to use them in the shower as they are all liquid so I have had to have a lot more baths I tried the QV cake? /bar (shaped in the same form as soap )but since it doesnt wash properly for me I gave up on that one . Try a very small bottle of one you want, you can always contact me on newfoundlandandus @gmail.com I hope I was of some help Jenny Ill keep that in mind, Ive been using MooGoo shampoo and conditioner, they alone didnt have much of an effect, but I also got their psoriasis cream a couple of weeks ago, and since I started using that its been a whole lot better
  5. I think thats why the bottle tells you to wear gloves...dog skin is different to human skin, so unless your dog has had a reaction (red skin, itchy, generally irritated) then Im sure its fine
  6. Lol. It's funny to wish a disease, isn't it? But when your dog's not well, of all the ones which are possible, thyroid is the easiest, least invasive to check for and the easiest and often most successful to medicate for. I know I felt like celebrating when I found my boy to be thyroidic. Yet at the same time it felt wrong to feel that way. Erny did I ever tell you that i solved Lexis lethargy problem? I didnt click at first because it was a very slow change, but I had taken her off her puppy food and put her on an adult formula, and she lost weight, so another breeder suggested I put her on a working dog food for the high fat content, which I did, and she reacted to it and got crazy hotspots, and then the lethargy hit...put her back on her old puppy food, and she has been fine ever since, no hotspots, and is full of energy
  7. My problem with a lot of human ones is that while they are marketed for skin conditions, a lot also include ingredients that are known to cause reactions (SLS, SLES etc)
  8. By the by, Selsun shampoo is a human shampoo and they also recommend you use gloves when you use that (on yourself)
  9. haha lol, such a mixed response Ive been very tempted, but so far Ive been using a new cream that seems to be doing the trick, so not resorting to Malaseb just yet
  10. Id call a vet in the area, they can tell you if there is a threat of heartworm in that area, if there is you will have to get them tested before starting preventative treatment, if there isnt then dont worry about the interceptor and just give them an all wormer
  11. Erny can tell you all about her, she has used her quite a few times. When it comes to the transport of the blood, Erny uses FedEX, they are expensive, and require special packaging of the blood, so if you are going to use them call them ahead to arrange everything. I sent some bloods off to her but used Australia Post, they were heaps cheaper, and didnt require any 'special' packaging, but they are slower at getting the blood there, so you wont be able to have a FBC run, but the thyroid tests will be fine (FBC can get done by any lab here)
  12. http://petswarehouse.com.au/Interceptor-Sp...g-Blue-6pk.html Interceptor is safe given every 6 weeks instead of every 4, thats what I do
  13. This, and PM Erny, she knows a lot about it and Jean Dodds
  14. well Its Daisy Hill Logan area near the hyperdome. And will look at going about 230/3ish again I might come if I feel up to it after my drive home no location decided yet for the April meet?
  15. Question...can malaseb be used to treat seborrhoeic dermatitis in people? lol ...Im seriously considering trying it so im after an honest answer
  16. Unfortunately I think Wagga or Canberra would be your best bet, there is a Pet Barn at Wagga, so they would have it As for delivery I dont know, but that would really be your best bet, perhaps try editing your title and you might get a better answer from the other locals
  17. Huski let me know how you go with the Studio Sebastian people, Ive always wanted some of theirs, maybe we can share shipping...
  18. Honestly that sounds too much to me Using that much soap will only strip all her natural oils, you dont want to do that they are good I also wouldnt be using dish washing detergent on her, I dont know who would have suggested that but I think its a load of BS, all you have do do is look at the effect it has on your hands after washing the dishes, thats why you are supposed to use gloves, so you dont get a lot of skin contact from the stuff. You might find that if you buy a better quality shampoo (like Aloveen) then you wont need as much. the plush puppy I use doesnt 'soap up' very much so it does take a bit of getting used to, but it does the same job, and you are using less soap on their skin
  19. I use plush puppy for Lexi, and Ive got the coat conditioner too, makes her smell sooo pretty and her tail is much easier to brush Im like GR though, my girls hardly need washing now that they are on a proper diet, they dont get that doggy smell
