  1. I used to train at PADS, it is a really good club, it just wasn't for me :)
  2. The distributors in Perth seem pretty good according to the OP, have you contacted them?
  3. There was only ever the same two or three people showing up, occasionally we had more, but we sort of gave up on them
  4. Definitely some golden in there, I think he is more of a bitsa than a cross, he is very cute though!
  5. It doesn't look like he has got any actual qualifications, I certainly wouldn't want him to be dealing with aggression issues
  6. I buy from Julana and the service is fantastic. Always responds to emails quickly and delivers within a few days, never a problem. Have reccommended a few friends to use Julana as well and they are all happy too. Ditto this, julana is a fantastic supplier :)
  7. I don't like all the pro-oodle articles that seem to appear in each edition, I even asked them why they insist on promoting these dogs so regularly on their facebook page, and just got fobbed off Refused to renew my subscription after that I second this. I looked forward to buying it every two months and then I read an article about choosing a breed or something and it had the "pros" of choosing purposely bred oodles. I was disgusted and gutted that a magazine with potential such as this one (this is the only dog mag sold in my home town) would sink so low as to promote that, especially when they are, at the back end of the mag, promoting real breeds. The editors always seemed to be people who loved their purebred or rescued dogs and I've voted with my money, now buying Dog News. Less articles but no oodles other than real poodles (who are gorgeous as they are!) The end of the straw for me was when they had an article about hypoallergenic dogs, full 2 page spread and they have ONE short paragraph to mention a few non shedding breeds, the rest was on oodles, then the following edition had another pro oodle article, after leaving two messages on their fb page just to get the brush off I refused to renew my subscription, as much as I enjoyed reading it I'll never buy it again

  9. I have a K9 pro one, best by far, I've had a blackdog, and hated it, plus numerous other no name ones that looked good at the time
  10. The ban in nsw came into effect in 2003, so still plenty of dogs around, my '01' JRT was docked before i picked her, I really wish she had a tail
  11. Curash powder works well to dry them out
  12. Good luck, there has been a LOT of non judgemental advice given regarding all of her dogs, and most if not all of it has been ignored ETA: I do hope she seriously considers rehoming, a whippet is NOT a Golden, and its obvious that she isn't coping
  13. Yeah I did mix it with her last kibble for a week or so gradually changed her over. I'm thinking now it might have been a skin irritation now, I'll just keep monitoring. she loves her BH and is much better on it. She's does get other treats but nothin else new has been introduced recently. This is exactly what happened with Lexi, I gradually changed her over (I was finishing up the last bag of RC) and when she was on 100% BH she started itching, freaked out thinking maybe it was the lamb, so I went and bought a chicken and rice food and started the process of switching her back, the itching stopped, and I still had her on a mix, so I decided to put her back on BH and she has been fine since
  14. I had the same problem with my GR, I started mixing in another brand of food with the idea to change her, but went back to BH without changing her entirely to anything else...she seems fine now, I think it must have just been a season type thing
  15. I imagine it is, a google search confirmed my suspicion, and I agree with you 100%
  16. Does the lady still have the GRs and chi? Because if she does that means she is a member of this forum
  17. I tried ginger tablets for my pup...didn't work lol I did get one of these homeopathy kits, the extension kit has a car sickness remedy, whether or not the remedy works, he hasn't been sick in the car since, although it has only been a couple of trips ETA, these guys are located in Jimboomba
  18. Yes sure they drink half a litre a day LOL its maybe becouse you sell it and advertise it. and they dont want you to look like a liar, give me a break will you that is the bigest bullshit i have heard. I find this post very offensive....I am not a liar. Because I am an agent for Black Hawk, that makes me dishonest...does it I repeat, my two very active border collies who live in a very hot climate & are fed Black Hawk, would not, even on the hottest day drink more than half a litre of water a day. Hmmmmmmm BC's are pretty smart though, mabey they are turning the hose on for each other when I am not looking Sorry to offened, but seems like evrey time there is a disscusion on dog food you are right there to promate Black Hawk... i have tryed it and dont like it simple as that its like any other crap food out there . Sheena isn't forcing you to feed BH, she gave her opinion on the food that her dogs do well on, she was giving the same opinion long before she became a distributor for BH, except now she has to don a flame suit for daring to mention the brand she feeds. Every other user posts the brand of food they feed their dogs, so how is that any different? You asked for opinions, you're getting them, you tried BH and it didn't agree with your dogs? thats fine, don't try it again, nobody is forcing you to For the record, I feed BH, my dogs thrive on it, I have no idea how much they drink but they always have access to water, and NO I don't distribute BH Yep I will never Feed it to my dogs again, and will never recomened it either. The only good thing about it was, gave the dogs shiny coats that is all.. the farts never stoped, they kept pissing all the time.. and they drank water like elephants LOL.. and this is my opinion.. have a good day LOL Just because it didn't agree with your dogs, it doesn't mean it isn't a good food, Advance made my Golden break out in hotspots, does that mean I try to make their brand name look like mud? no, because it is still a good food, it just wasn't the food for her, when I fed the same dog RC, she was eating twice the 'recommended' feeding guide, as we all know that guide is very generous, I could guess that she was eating nearly 3 times what she should have really needed and only JUST maintaining weight, but again I don't diss the food because it is still a good food, just not for her, I put her on BH and she is now a great weight and eating much less food. My Cattle dog was on Hills when we got him, soon changed him to BH as his stools never firmed up, and he just thrives on it. There is no reason why you should be trying to give BH such a bad name, just accept that the food wasn't right for your dogs, move on and find something else

  20. Yep, Tess is on the NSW register, I tried to change it once and it was such a PITA, at the moment the address and phone number is my parents, so I'm not too worried, they can at least contact me if it is needed
  21. THIS I just want a professionals opinion to come into my house to assess her, her space and living arrangements and tell me what I should be doing. I put things away, play with her, train her, walk her, take her to new surroundings and try stimulate her crazy little brain but it's honestly like I have an ADHD doggy lol. Good for you for recognising that you might need help, Jane is great, and I'm sure she will get you on the right track with her behaviour :)
  22. I've had this style...they weren't bad, but they are really fiddly to set up, and the door is only on the long side, so you don't have a lot of options for setting it up if you're at a busy competition
  23. You will find soft crates will be the same size as wire crates, the difference being its lighter and easier to get in and out of a car :) I have had 3 different brand crates, and the standout by far is K9-Pro :)
